Willow Springs is all about hosting GROUPS, large and small. We cater to family reunions, group gatherings of all kinds, workshops, seminars and church groups. Nestled in the foothills of the Tahoe National Forest, our Retreat Center offers a variety of accommodations to suit your needs, from 10 to 60. (SEE BELOW.) We are six minutes to several locations on the Yuba River and twenty minutes to Bullard’s Bar. Located just 15 short miles from the historic communities of Nevada City and Grass Valley, Willow Springs is a place to escape and re-connect with what is important, creating memories. We also incorporate principles of sustainability at Willow Springs, with an on-site educational herb and permaculture garden for which a self-tour is available (free) and a guided tour upon request. Fresh produce possible depending upon season and availability. We operate ala carte with our accommodations so we can customize your experience to meet your needs. You can choose one or more of the following: GROUP CAMPGROUND: This one-acre fenced in area allows for guests (Max 30) to bring their dogs and pitch tents in a protected area with an expansive view. Camp cooking has never been easier, as the community kitchen is well equipped with 2 full-sized refrigerators, gas stove/oven, pots and pans, dishware, silverware, triple sink, and two outdoor barbeques. The cooks will especially appreciate our unique outdoor “dishwashing station” for each individual (even kids!) to efficiently wash their own dishes instead of using throw-away plastic for each meal. Our bathhouse has two private toilets, two private showers with hot water and a double sink. Bring your own towels and toiletries. ADDITIONAL LODGING & AMENTITIES: YURT: A 20’ yurt (sleeps 4) is equipped with a full bed and queen sofa for members of your camping group that would like greater comfort. Limited electricity is available. BUNK HOUSE: This bunk house has 3 twin bunkbeds (sleeps 6) with a 12x14 covered deck. Limited electricity is available. RV SITES: Ranging from no services to full service. More information is available for other AMENITIES, including LODGE, YOGA STUDIO, PAVILION, EVENT TERRACE, MEDIA CENTER, and more, visit www.WillowSpringsLodge.com/blogs.

Rental of the Camping Compound includes the use of 8+ camping sites (bring your own tents and sleeping gear), an 18-foot-long banquet table ideal for groups, water located in two strategic areas and a bonfire pit that has plenty of space for your entire group. In the evening, relax around the central fire pit and make s'mores, sing songs, connect with each other or stare quietly into the flames.  Also included is a kitchen with two refrigerators and a stovetop range/oven, a luxury for those renting the Camping Compound-all for your group's personal use. Cook your meals in the fully equipped kitchen without the hassle of constantly buying ice for coolers. The kitchen is equipped with pots, pans, and dishware (plates, bowls, silverware, cups) that serve 30. Take advantage of a four-burner stovetop with oven or choose to use the propane barbecue grill just outside the door.  Then enjoy eating your prepared meal under the trees on the large 18-foot outside banquet table just a stone's throw from the kitchen.  Afterwards, clean-up is easy in the triple sink in the kitchen. A bathhouse with two private showers, two private flush toilets and a double sink is also available for your use. Please bring your own towels and toiletries. Dogs: Because the campground is fully fenced in you don't have to leave your best friend behind! Dogs are allowed if the following rules are followed: 1) Guests are 100% responsible for their dog's behavior! 2) All dogs must be friendly and well-behaved, and non-aggressive towards other dogs. Male dogs must be neutered or special permission requested. 3) Dogs must remain inside the fenced camping area while on the property or on a leash outside the fenced area. The smaller fenced areas inside the larger area are available for use as well. 4) Guests may not leave dogs unattended during the day on the property. 5) Guest must be aware that wildlife live in the area and could potentially harm your pet. There have been bears and mountain lions on the property. 6) Guests must clean up after their dogs or an extra $50 cleaning fee will be assessed. Willow Springs is a working farm, and we strive to be environmentally conscious around issues of sustainability, recycling and landfills. We ask our guests who stay with us to join in. Sustainability: we build our own healthy soils without buying oil-based chemical fertilizers. You can help us by contributing your food waste into our composting system. This also saves food items from going into landfills, where rotting food produces methane, a potent greenhouse gas. Did you know that we could reduce greenhouse emissions by 6-8% simply by keeping food waste out of landfills? There are several food waste buckets for you to scrape all unwanted food items into. Recycling: reduce items going to landfills by placing all recyclable containers into the blue bins. Please EMPTY containers of all liquid first. Trash: All trash has to be brought into the county transfer station and paid to be disposed of, by us. Reducing trash has very practical implications besides environmental awareness (like keeping our campground affordable). Anything that can't be composted or recycled can go in the trash. We provide 5 full cans/group/stay of trash disposal as part of your rental. After that, we charge a $10/can disposal fee. To preserve the integrity of the natural setting and prevent flammable oil in the camping area, we ask that you load and unload your personal belongings and camping gear at the camping area and then park your vehicles in our designated "Guest Parking" area close by.  Please no trailers in the Camping Compound.  Additional RV spaces are available outside the fenced area. Our parking area is plenty large enough to accommodate trailers with boats and utility trailers. An EV charging station is available on the property.
