Welcome to Yosemite Colfax Spring! Home to a basecamp for river rafting trips during the summertime, we are located 15 minutes driving distance to the entrance to Yosemite National Park. If you are staying with us between May - September and want to come rafting, ask us about our river trips! Our camp sits on a ridge with views down into the Tuolumne River Canyon. The Tuolumne River begins at 13,000 feet of elevation in the High Country of Tuolumne Meadows and provides drinking water for over 2.7 million people in San Francisco. With cedar and pine trees, manzanita bushes, and wildflowers in the spring, enjoy the Sierras' flora and fauna. Our family has been operating our river rafting company for over 50 years, the last 11 of those years being here at Colfax Spring. Conveniently located off Highway 120, we are in close proximity to swimming holes, hikes, and more. Enjoy the privacy of our campsite and getting world-class views to yourself, with all of the amenities (flushing toilets, wi-fi, showers.) Make sure to check the Yosemite National Park website for information about reservations to visit the park!

(4) Main Tuolumne Camp
Wonderful to pull our van into Liza and Tom’s place after a long day in the high country of Yosemite. We saw a gorgeous sunset and had a nice hot shower without having to lug towels and shampoo etc. We heard the sound of the waterfall in the distance (and the cars died down after sunset so road noise wasn’t an issue). No bugs which was a luxury after the mosquitos of the eastern sierra and more woodsy locations. Our dog lowed being there as well and was a happy camper. Nice flat tent platform if needed and the picnic table was sturdy. Woke up to the beautiful view to end our week long camping trip! 4 was close to 5 but nobody was at 5 so it felt like we had the endless Mountain View’s practically to ourselves. Thanks for providing a camping option!

(4) Main Tuolumne Camp
We loved camping here. Directions are easy, the showers and bathrooms are very clean. They even give you clean towels to use. They have a water station with filtered water for drinking. The view was fantastic, the hosts are very responsive and kind. Overall will come back here if we are looking to camp near Yosemite.

(4) Main Tuolumne Camp
The campsite was awesome. Low maintenance, great location, clean and easily accessible bathroom, and quite possibly the most beautiful sunset we have ever seen. Highly highly recommend!

(11) Tioga Camp
The negatives are 1. that the tent site was difficult to get the tent staked down as the surface was hard to penetrate. 2. The flush toilets and showers are a decent ( not terrible) walk over a hill with a dirt path. 3. A bit pricey but probably right for the location The positives were: 1. Easily accessible outhouse 2. Clean bathrooms ( flush toilets) 3. Clean showers ( towels and soap are provided) 4. Short drive to Yosemite entrance (the drive to the camp and Yosemite are very curvy and steep...this is unavoidable to my knowledge) 5. Beautiful view off the hill 6. No issues with other campers or the owner ( the owner came out and spoke with my wife. She said he was a nice man)
