Camp ikigai is a 72 acre farm/ranch stay near Sequoia-Kings (SEKI) Canyon Nat'l Parks. Rescued/EOL horses, sheep, chickens, and ducks freely roam the property. The property has a communal clubhouse with a fully stocked kitchen, washer/dryer, firepit, hot/cold showers, compost and pit toilets, and an above ground swimming pool. Our business is committed to inclusivity and respect for people from all backgrounds and a safe space for solo female and LQBTQIA+ travelers. 30 minutes from park entrance, 20 min from nearby lakes, 50 minutes from Fresno. 3 hrs from SF, 3.5 from LA. We have running hot/cold water for our outdoor shower but NO flushable toilets. We have pit and compost toilets filled with cedar shavings for now! Our priorities: 1. Wildfire prevention 2. Community building 3. Environmentalism and Sustainability If you're coming July-Mid August please know it is HOT (95 average/75 night) and wildfires are a consistent threat. With that, wildfire prevention is a high priority. We have a lot of projects we have started and could use all the help we can get! Some of those are: - invasive species management - tiny home building - gardening/greenhouse building - event space building - vertical agriculture - chicken farming (underway and we have a lot of eggs to eat and share!) - raising livestock - medicinal plant growing + onsite apothecary - bus conversion site - tool and machinery share/rental Come book a cabin, park a bus, bring a tent, bring your cat/dog! We know the world is dark right now and we are just trying to bring a little light.

Thank you so much for the best time
I loved tent camping here! We were only able to stayed the one night but it was just beautiful. Everyone there was super welcoming and down to earth. All of the animals were unbelievably friendly and the view from where we decided to set our tent was spectacular, it was only a 20 minute drive to sequoias park entrance. We had the best time ever and will definitely be coming back!

Fun camping!
We had a great time here! We didn’t have to make our own fire which was really nice for two women travelers with kids. Friendly people at the camp. The animals and the pool were much welcomed! This is real camping, the spaces aren’t all flat. I would bring your own camping toliet and toliet tent if you have one. Stars were absolutely amazing! Short drive to giant sequoias and a really cool old mountain cemetery down the street. Really good hipster/country coffee place nearby. love to come back again!!

Tent Camping
Very special place
This camp is very special. Originally found a site that wasn't shaded and between the heat, my 3.5yr old, and bees, I nearly lost my marbles and left, but luckily found a better site in the shade and I'm super glad I stayed. The community is wonderful. Camp has everything you need, gas grills, heated shower, communal fridge, cooking equipment (cutting board, utensils, plates, etc). Sweet animals everywhere (ducks, chicken, horses, sheep, dogs), communal campfire. My son and I had a great time and are definitely coming back. Matt and the land keepers are wonderful!

Tent Camping
Nice campground.
We spent 2 nights at the camp, it was very quite and nice, the hot water shower was great, and we also enjoyed the atmosphere at the communal fire. the host was very helpful and nice. on the down side the camp needs some more work on leveling the tent spots, and mitigating the dust. overall we thought it was very nice place,
