The view from our tent camp was gorgeous! Direction view of Shasta from T2. Lots of mosquitos at night so be prepared. Bathroom was very clean and nice. Would definitely come back!

Chaparral Loop: Tent Site T5
The view of Mt. Shasta makes this site, but there were definite downsides. The campground had a one-way gravel road with a steep grade - the host reached out to give us a heads up about it a couple days before arrival but it wasn't clear upon booking that low-clearance vehicles could have difficulty accessing the site. The site itself had very little shade and the noise from the road made it difficult for my partner and myself to sleep. It was unclear if any potable water was available. One of the two bathroom stalls had a mouse living in it. What kinda got to me was the site I specifically booked for the unobstructed view of the mountain and its added privacy with being further from the bathrooms and other sites, was given to a family and I was not notified prior to arrival that they moved me to a different site. I would have appreciated the communication prior to arrival.

Amazing hidden gem! Karen and Jay were awesome! The Shasta trailer was adorable with everything I needed! Very comfortable! If you want vintage 60s this is it! Decorated to match the theme…. Loved it!!!!

This is specific to the tent camping spots at the top of the ridge with the view of Mount Shasta. This seems like a nice place to stop if you’re passing through with a small setup and need somewhere right off the 5 to quickly camp for the evening. The RV park looked cute and clean. However the tent camping spots were really small and very close together. You might want to consider if you look into staying here that I-5 is right there, you can see and hear it. That, and it can get very hot up there as there is no shade, that of course will depend on when you go so just be mindful of that. If you’re looking for a camping experience in this area, there are lots of spacious campgrounds if you are willing to drive into the woods a little ways, but if you need a place to quickly stop for the night and have a small setup this is not bad. It wasn’t for us so we did end up leaving unfortunately.

We were there when a group of about 15-20 tone deaf men took over the community fire pit, drinking and yelling profanities (with kids around) from 6 pm until about 12 am next to our site. This went on every night we were there. From Thursday to Sunday. Owner shrugged and said it wasn’t quiet hours. 11pm? Regardless of the hours, he could have asked them to tone down the volume. The lack of respect for anyone there trying to have their own family time or peace and quiet in the evening was outrageous. Next time the group should rent out the whole campground, which isn’t even that big… or at the very least the owners should let other campers know in advance this group will be there (they said it’s a yearly gathering, so they could have warned us and given us the option to cancel.) The owner offered to move us to a spot he said he never sells. but when I went to move the owner said I couldn’t because he sold it. Incredible!
On the other hand, my 11 yo loved the animals. We had an amazing trip to the lake and mt Shasta. The campground did have a nice view up where the tent sites were located. I won’t be back though out of principle and I don’t recommend if you expect to have quiet enjoyment of your evenings.

The view of Mt Shasta is amazing. Its presence is breathtaking. The tent sites are on a bluff facing the mountain - and the freeway, which is out of sight but very close. The sounds of the traffic can be soothing, like waves of the ocean, but might not be everyone’s cup of tea.
Important note: there is a steep gravel hill you must climb to get to the tent sites. DO NOT SPEED UP THE HILL, as tempting as that may seem. It looked like I would benefit from some serious momentum getting up the hill but there can be tents nearby and children so go slow. I got yelled at for coming in hot, rightly so.
Not much to do or see around here as far as I could tell, but for a beautiful place to spend the night, it’s pretty cool.

Convenient stay on the way up north or the return south bound trips through the area. All the amenities. Got to stop by the camp store this time and it's very cute.... snacks, tshirts, souvenirs, and things you may have forgotten for your trip.
It was a warm day coming through but it was about 5 degrees cooler at the camp and the shade was falling over it for the evening so made for a nice temp.
Made it up to the tent are for the view of Shasta this time. It's fantastic to sit up there for the view (assuming you're not bothering tent campers). Lovely little tent camping area also with flush toilets and warm showers. Pretty sweet spaces
Road noise is the only complaint which can't be changed. Was more noticeable this time through as we had the windows open on the van to get some cool air in.

We couldn’t have been happier with our experience! We were in Site 5, which offered a stunning, unobstructed view of Mt. Shasta, it truly felt like we had front-row seats to the best view in town.
The bathrooms were always spotless, which is such a gift when you're camping. We also have to give a big shout-out to Erin, the camp host, who was incredibly welcoming, kind, and helpful throughout our stay.
It was so nice relaxing around the community fire pit at the bottom of the hill and we also got to enjoy the fresh eggs from the campstore.
If you’re looking for a convenient, accessible campsite that’s close to town and full of opportunities for adventure, Trailer Lane Campground is a fantastic choice. We’ll definitely be back!

I stayed in A7 with my van and it was relatively quiet except for the freeway noise. Bathrooms and showers were clean which was nice. Everyone in the campground seemed pretty chill and went to sleep fairly early

It's clear the hosts have thought of all the details from their own travel experiences. Warm bathrooms, hot showers, no generators going, close off the road and easy to get to. We didn't make it to the convenience store but it's a great idea.
There is road noise but didn't seem to keep me up. And loved the visit to the animals.

This is an RV park and my comments are based on that fact. If you are looking for a boondocking experience, this may not be your place.
It is a small park, maybe 20 spots total. There is tent camping up the hill. We were in A2, through the trees you see the trucks going down I5. You can hear the highway noise. But at night, not as noticeable as there is not much traffic.
Bathrooms are clean, updated, showers and flushing toilets.
Chickens, turkeys and goats on property. A charcoal grill near firepit. About 10 picnic tables scattered around.
An hour from Lake Shasta, but plenty of hiking near by.
Sites have electrical, water and sewer. Grounds are kept up.
A good place for base camp and doing things in the area.

Karen's hospitality is something that I would love to get in every place that I stay, when I travel. I answered tones of questions and got tones of very kind and very useful answers. Her place is wonderful and extremely comfortable. And there is also a hill with the best view of the Mt. Shasta. Definitely recommend Trailer Lane Campground for your stay in this region.

The campground host were very friendly and helpful and flexible and we really appreciated that. The campground is small and they have a nice communal fire pit and the bathrooms were very clean and heated with warm water. Spacing of the sites was a little close for our taste and also the sound of the highway was a bit disturbing but overall it was a good choice to stay for one night

This site was a gem! With a view of Mt Shasta, the campground is quiet and serene. With lake Shastina just a few minutes away, there are plenty of things to do, including hiking and a 15 min drive to see the waterfalls. The rv site is fully prepped and there is a market on the property with fresh eggs, rv supplies, firewood, etc. etc. Our two kids 7 & 11 loved the farm animals and spent hours walking on the property and enjoying the outdoors. The campground is safe and clean, and the owners are very welcoming. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Unfortunately, I was told (a day in advance) that the site I reserved would not be available due to winter weather and I was put in another site on the lower loop. That site, in contrast, did not have a panoramic view. When I walked up the hill for a sunset picture, I did not see what winter weather prevented my stay at the original, better site. I agree, for tent campers, the freeway noise can be quite jarring at times. The positive was the nice, helpful ladies at the store when I initially arrived.. Also, I realized too late that I had prepaid for firewood which I did not receive and when I inquired about a refund via the contact in the app, I was ghosted with no response at all.

Conifer Loop: Tent Site T1
As a woman traveling alone, I felt very safe and comfortable at Trailer Lane. The grounds were clean and organized, the bathrooms were spotless. I was not in the least bothered by the freeway sounds. I will definitely reserve a spot again next time I make the trip from California to Oregon. Many thanks for a comfortable, clean, safe place to stay!

This facility is more like a campground than an RV Park! Several back-in sites with full hookups on the outer perimeter, like A4, are surrounded by oak and pine trees. The facility is spotless in general. The bathrooms/shower rooms were heated, and the shower stalls were new and in perfect shape. Laundry facility onsite as well. It is a great place to restock and recharge if you are on a long journey or just spending time in the Mt Shasta, Weed, Yreka area. This will be my go-to place in the Nor-Cal I5/97 corridor.

Great spot - right off I-5, easy to get to, clean and you get some peek a boo glimpses of Mount Shasta. The layout of the campground is very thoughtful, the host has great communication and there is a little camp store if you forgot something. The animals onsite are a bonus!

This is a small RV campground in a beautiful region. We came in after the store/reception was closed, but found someone to sort us out. We slept in a rooftop tent, but most campers had RV’s. It was quiet and enjoyable.
