Lake, kayak, Goats, chickens, and fresh eggs- what more can one ask for! The site was perfect for our little family and Jeremy was the perfect host! We can’t wait to visit again.

The Lake View Tree House
overall we had a great experience! it was hot but the a/c in the treehouse kept us cool. we went down to the lake and took a dip, it was calm and private, the fresh eggs are such a great add on as well! their dog Luna was the sweetest thing and stayed with us the majority of our stay, i would definitely strongly recommend a AWD or 4WD car that isn’t too low to the ground, we unfortunately had issues getting to and leaving the listing with our car. other than that great stay!

Very nice camp are. Jeremy was really welcoming and communicative throughout the entire process any questions asked he was very quick to reply. The lake is beautiful had a family outing and it was gorgeous. Fresh eggs in the morning horses were really friendly. Hill was very steep but all in all we had a great time and would be back again.
Also kayaks very fun don’t skip this site must see.

It was our third time at Jeremy’s farm. My top 1 camping!
Jeremy is a fantastic host — friendly, helpful, and always full of great tips. We genuinely enjoyed chatting with him during our stay.
The farm is peaceful and full of charm, with the sweetest dogs, beautiful horses, and a chicken coop where we picked fresh eggs for breakfast.
The lake is stunning — crystal clear, full of fish, and we even saw turtles and crawfish. Can’t wait to come back!

We had a great time at Jeremy’s ranch. Their 10 year old dog, Luna, spent most of her time with us and showed us the way to the lake and back to the site. Definitely a great host! Jeremy was also easy to reach and quickly responds to my questions. Was a nice little getaway with a beautiful view of the lake.

I had the most fantastic time celebrating my birthday here with friends. Jeremy was very friendly and attentive, answering all of our questions. The lake area was so private and beautiful and we spent all day laying on the beach, kayaking and swimming in the clear, cool water. 10/10!

We loved camping at the Painted Lakes! Jeremy and Michelle were great communicating before and during our stay making sure we had the best time on their property. The site has lots of space for setting up camp and relaxing among the trees and animals. Loved walking to the lake and kayaking. It is a quiet piece of paradise. Great setup with a gas grill, gas fire pit, and an outdoor couch on turf.

Overall we had a great time we all fit on the same campsite. This place is very steep to get to the water depending on what site you get restroom is a good walk away. Views were great stars also very beautiful but for the price which is similar to a regular campground you will probably be better off at a campground with a shower and flatter ground. MUST BE DOG FRIENDLY. Dogs were with us 90% of the time we also woke up to a dog rummaging through the trash so we had to clean that up.

The Lake View Tree House
Epic stay at the tree house. Kayaking during a moonlight, showering outside with a view and grabbing eggs at the chicken coop were some of the many highlights. We’d love to come back some day! Thanks Jeremy

Awesome time With a great view! Host was so kind and accommodating. We had so much fun kayaking. Convenient that there was a chicken coop with fresh eggs just a 3 min walk away. WARNING there is a semi steep hill dividing the tree house from outdoor kitchen/shower/portapotty. Car is parked maybe 4min walk away from treehouse and you have to cross the hill to reach the car, so just keep that in mind.

This was my first experience camping on someone’s personal land. I had the opportunity to camp with my friend and her group of friends. Jeremy provided very detailed instructions for entry and location on the property, but even if you get confused he is super helpful and such a chill guy! We even met his son Hawk who helped make a fire pit for us!
We camped on the horse and lake view site, which is right at the chicken coop. *Bonus* we were allowed to collect eggs to enjoy 😊 Something to look ahead is for weather, depending on your vehicle because there are a few steep inclines that get slippery in the rain. Also, bring shoes to hike in to go down to the lake as that also has a steep incline. Being able to pet the animals made the hiking worth it! We got to play with Juno and Luna along with the goats, horses and chickens. Side note, there are a lot of fun spots for photo ops. I would definitely camp here again!

Jeremy's land was so beautiful! I loved kayaking in the lake, waking up to gorgeous sunrises out the windows, and petting the dogs, goats, horses, chickens. Jeremy and his whole family were really sweet to be around when we did run in to them on the property, and as a host he was quite helpful if we ever had questions or requests. Would definitely stay here again.

What a beautiful place! Jeremy was such a wonderful host and it is a magical place. First thing when we got there, Jeremy handed me a lamb that was just born that day! What a dream! We ate fresh eggs for breakfast that we gathered ourselves from the chicken coop, skipped rocks and kayaked on the lake, and pet all the horses and sweet dogs. We were sad to leave.

This was a perfect little get away! It’s perfect if you don’t want to tent camp but you also don’t want to rent a huge cabin. The view of the lake from the tree house is breath taking and it’s amazing to be surrounded by so many animals. Their dogs were super friendly and respectful. We loved getting to pick fresh eggs from their chicken coup as well. There is a full outdoor kitchen with a mini fridge and a port-a-potty. It is very steep getting to and from the campsite and lake, so be mindful of what car you bring and if you have any issues with mobility, especially if it’s been wet out. If you don’t want to sit all day at camp there are so many amazing wineries nearby to visit. We had a truly spectacular time here and are ready to plan our next trip! Huge thank you to the amazing host for being so accommodating and friendly! We loved our stay here.

Took my large family glamping in the tree house and loved it! We brought sleeping pads and sleeping bags and we were about to for 2 adults and 5 kids in the treehouse. Two of our kids are teenagers, so basically adult sized.
Jeremy's farm is on a hillside, so be prepared for that. We liked hiking down to the lake to go kayaking. It's a bit of a hike back up to the treehouse, but we didn't mind. There was a heater inside the treehouse, which was nice since it was rainy and cool overnight. The sunrises over the lake were beautiful, as was the full moon rising over the lake. We went kayaking in the moonlight one night, and it was so peaceful.
Kids loves seeing all the animals (goats, sheep, chickens, horses), and they even found some of the goats to be playful. There was a kitchen nearby the treehouse that had a fridge and a sink with running water. There was also a grill, stovetop burner, and a griddle that made cooking easy. There were also plenty of pans, plates, cups, and utensils. The kids were able to get fresh eggs from the chickens every morning.
The restrooms were porta-potties. They were removed enough to not worry about, but close enough to be convenient. And they actually didn't smell hardly at all, which is always a bonus.
Host, Jeremy, was great at communicating with us. He and his family were warm and personable.
We loved our 3 day weekend autumn getaway. We're already trying to figure out a time to come back in warmer weather so we can swim in the lake.

This was SUCH a wonderful experience. Surrounded by nature, the sweetest animals, a gorgeous lake you can kayak on with the provided kayaks, fresh eggs you can pull straight from the coop…seriously, paradise. Would love to return.

We really enjoyed Jeremy's. Interesting house, cool territory, access to the lake and kayaks, the kids were delighted with the huge hammocks. We spent the night there, there was an unusually strong wind, we regretted that we did not take extra blankets from home, but Jeremy brought a heater.

Our stay at Jeremy & Michelle's lake site was absolutely magical. Watching the moon rise and sun set over the lake was an unforgettable experience. The serene surroundings and breathtaking views made it the perfect escape from the city. Even though it was our first camping trip, we felt right at home thanks to the warm welcome and helpful tips. We slept soundly and were only woken up by the cheerful sounds of nature. Thank you for creating such a peaceful and memorable retreat. We'll definitely be back!

The treehouse was so fun with the kids. The view is beautiful and it was fun seeing the animals and gathering eggs in the morning. Their sweet dog loves to show you around and plays. It is dusty so be prepared for that, like camping. Enjoy the day at the lake! The hammock was a nice touch too, big enough to hang on with the kids.

Had a great stay in the Tree Haus. The views are amazing during the day, and stargazing in the recliners on the deck at night was incredible. The outdoor shower with a view was also great. The animals were a huge plus especially for our toddler who loved them all. The dogs are friendly and a horse even stopped by the picnic table during breakfast to say hi. When we stayed it was over 100 degrees (in October!) and the AC unit did a decent job keeping the Tree Haus around 80 degrees from 12-3 which was just cool enough for our little one to catch a nap. We escaped to Prospect 772's tasting room to wait out the rest of the heat of the day. Great wine and only 5min away. Nights were quite comfortable and the sleeping situation was great.
The walk to and from the lake is not short - it takes ~15 minutes to get there from the treehaus and a bit longer back (uphill). That said, the reward of a cool swim was worth the effort and we had a nice picnic there.
The worst part of our stay was the dust, which I imagine is a non issue during other seasons. The dust stuck to our feet and legs like crazy. We ended up keeping a wet towel handy to wipe our feet and legs before going into the treehaus and it was fine. Just something to be aware of if it's hot and dry when you go, you will get very dusty walking anywhere outside.
All in all we had a great time. We got exactly the break we needed here.

The Painted Tents
We had an amazing weekend at the campsite with my wife and our dog! Despite the heat, we made the most of it by kayaking and cooling off in the lake. One of the highlights was feeding the farm animals—it was such a unique experience! Jeremy was an outstanding host, and his friendly dogs added to the charm of our stay. We especially loved starting each day with freshly laid eggs from their chickens, which made for a delicious breakfast. We couldn’t have asked for a better getaway!
