Come explore the outer edges of Lodi Wine Country while taking the time to ground yourself in nature. You’ll be staying in our special off-grid glamping cabin, steps away from your new goat friends. You may even wake up to a goat peering in your window or chickens and turkeys free-ranging while you explore the property.
We are minutes away from the area’s best wineries and can even make you an itinerary to visit our favorites upon request.
But be sure to make it back in time to witness the sun setting over the vineyard and settle in to the sounds of the nighttime around you.
Optional add-ons to your stay include local wines from our wine fridge, use of the cedar barrel sauna, playing with the goats, a special date-night package with charcuterie/champagne, and more...contact us for more details.Our greatest hope is for guests of the Golden Goat to leave refreshed and reconnected. The Golden Goat experience is an adventure you will remember and want to share with your loved ones.
Some details about the propety: Our bathroom is rustic. We do have running water for the outdoor wine-barrel sink and bamboo shower, and the shower has hot water, but it is an open-air shower. Most of our guests love this experience, but please note is it not for the faint-of-heart, especially in winter months.
To help do our part in water conservation, we also use a waterless composting toilet. It is simple to use and there are instructions posted in the bathroom.
The cabin is off-grid and powered by solar, which means the electricity available to you in the cabin is highly dependent on the weather. We do not have AC or heat, but offer a fan and plenty of blankets.
If you need to charge your electronics, do some work, or check in with the “real world”, head over to the Tractor House. Here, you can lounge in comfort, go for a run on the treadmill, relax in the massage chair, and refill your drinking water from the minifridge. You will also find complimentary snacks in the fridge.
