Welcome to my home: My Dad moved here when I was 4, and lived here til he passed away, so this land is very special to me. I've been rebuilding the structures and pouring my heart and soul into it since September of 2019, and I'm very proud of how far it's come. It's definitely a labor of love, and I truly believe I'll be making additions here for the rest of my life. People have been camping in the meadow in the summers since the 1950's, and I'm happy to carry on the tradition, by opening it up to you. There was a fire on the property in 1901 which cleared out the forest and left the burnt out stumps which you'll see by the shower. There's one old growth redwood on the property, behind the glampy tent, but everything else in roughly 120 years old. EXTRAS: If I'm around, I can show you the trails on the property. Extra blankets and towel rentals are available for a small fee, when available.I have a 12 x 14 ft glampy tent in a redwood forest, with a queen size bed inside, sheets, comforter, four pillows, a heater, a dehumidifier, light, table with chairs, mirror and a rack for clothes.  The tent is located in my meadow, which is also where the garden is located.  PARKING: Please park on the wood chips and do not drive past the wood branch semi circle. SHOWER: The outdoor shower is located half way between the tent and the blue house. To turn the shower on, make sure the red light is off, and look for the red knob below the silver colored gas heater. Turn the water on and then flip the on/off switch beneath the silver heater. You should hear clicking while the heater ignites. Please make sure you've fully shut off the red knob when done. If it's not fully shut, it will leak water.  I love my shower! It gets steamy, I have candles and crystals out, I love it. However, it's very tempermental, so please don't mess with it. If it stops working, let me know immediately so I can fix it for you. HEAT: There is a heater in there which is great and normally warms it up pretty quick. But if you’re cold and need extra blankets, please let me know. Also, keeping the dehumidifier on while you’re gone will make sure it’s warm and dry when you get back at night. GARDEN LIGHT: There are lights going around the perimeter of the garden, and a little greenhouse there, which you are welcome to hang out in. To turn on the garden lights, plug in the brown cord at the electrical box. TRASH: Due to bears, I will only be taking recycling from now on. Please pack out the rest of your trash. FIRES: There's a fire pit, and tons of kindling in the forest, but please keep fires small. Please do not use the wood in the wood shed for fires. This is wood I have cut, bought and gathered to keep my house warm. There are bundles of cut trees and branches by the parking area which you are welcome to use for your fire. There is a fire extinguisher in the greenhouse for emergencies. DOGS: Please do not book this site if you plan on bringing a large dog and not taking care of it. If you bring a dog, I would like them to be leashed at all times, not left barking unattended, and their poop picked up. SMOKING POLICY: No smoking or vaping of any kind are allowed in the tent. You will be charged a fee of $100 if this rule is not followed.

Such a Cute Place!
Kimberly’s land was a great spot! We really enjoyed the location as well as the tent itself. It was very comfortable. Would definitely recommend and would stay again if in the area!

Super comfortable , close to town
The tent is essentially a bedroom outside. It had a full bed, heater, comforter, mirror, table and chairs and a lamp. It has electricity to charge your phone! It could be a pro or a con , but it's not so remote. You're in someone's back yard(surrounded by trees, but you can see a few houses). The outside shower, for example, is behind another house. It's less than a 5 min drive from town with a grocery store and beach access and maybe 2 min drive to 101 highway. It's a convenient stop on a road trip from the redwoods. Beach view in town is gorgeous!

Beware of Kimberly’s temper
During our stay, Kimberly's temper became a frightening and significant issue. Upon arrival, the lack of signage made it difficult to find her place and navigating the sharp drop onto her gravel driveway was almost dangerous for cars with low clearance. While the accommodations were adequate, interactions with Kimberly soured the whole experience. When checking out, Kimberly screamed at my younger siblings in a rage. I rushed over as the commotion scared us all, especially given the presence of other young children. She accused us of smoking, despite only having a small fire in the provided fire pit. As per her description, she allows guests to use branches for fires, but they weren't clearly marked, leading to confusion and Kimberly’s subsequent berating of us for using the 'wrong' branches. Despite our apologies and attempts to make amends, Kimberly continually insisted only on extra payment and threatened additional action if we did not give her exactly what she wanted. We reluctantly gave her all of our combined, remaining cash, feeling coerced and badly treated. I recognize the frustration but it does not make it okay to lash out at others, much less guests. As a result, Kimberly's unprofessional behaviour and angry demands left us regretting our decision to stay there.
