Hello I stayed here a couple nights and saw a kid running around with a metal pipe and manger to scratch up my car a good bit I didn’t freak out or anything but I might not be able to get this fixed money tight recently it would be great for Hipcamp to reach out 760-653-6359 she was a nice lady could tell that it was hard she was sweet and nice tried to be kind

Oat Prairie at Eyrie Farm
Beautiful, peaceful property with awesome hosts. We stayed in the back Oat Prairie. We found it very easily. We camped in the spring in between rains, so the pasture was green and our 2wd vehicles had no problem getting in and out. Camping Grounds were mostly flat with a good amount of space. Hosts showed us all of their animals (chickens, turkeys, quails, pheasant, ducks, cows, and a horse) and were very welcoming and informative. We didn’t think the noises from the street were bad at all, like some of the other reviews. Birds made some noises in the morning of course, but I think that adds to the country camping experience.

Signs for where to camp are small. Did not realize that we would be looking for a chainlink gate rather than a driveway.

I enjoy staying at Anna's. There are gas stations, grocery stores, restaurants etc. located 2 miles from location. Location is very serene and quiet. I got to meet Anna. She is very kind. I look forward to returning here.

Had a bit of trouble finding their driveway on both Waze & Google Maps. A Quaint little farm with friendly animals and people, it was a sweet little camping spot under the pepper tree. The street in front was a bit noisy at night, but more secluded from other campers than many campgrounds. It was an interesting and enjoyable experience!

Great getaway for the family - Anna and Joe were charming hosts, making the experience even more special by giving us a tour and providing a delicious breakfast during our stay. Great wineries nearby, would highly recommend!

This was a wonderful, unique stay on a poultry farm! I could tell this family loves their animals and takes great care of them. Lots of birds to wake up to and farms all around. Anna was an awesome host. I bought some duck eggs from her and they were absolutely delicious. Would come back if I am ever in Ramona again!

We enjoyed our stay at The Eyrie Farm. It meets all the basic needs for camping and Anna and her husband are very welcoming hosts.
They showed us the animals and let us feed the chickens. Very nice experience, especially for kids!

Had a LOVELY time here! Anna and John were very friendly hosts and were very gracious and accommodating for my 9 year old son with Autism who sometimes got a little too excited around their farm animals. Been reading some other reviews and I do want to comment that their security dog, Skylar, is very good at her job but is also 100% people friendly. Very quaint little camping nook, and just 5 mins from downtown Ramona. You’ll have a great experience here with genuine hosts.

I spent 3 nights in Ramona at this site and was happy that it was level and shaded. I even set up a 10 x 10 exhibit space I'm working on and made some photos of it. I would camp here again for sure! Thanks, Anna.

Our site was under a very large tree with shading branches hanging down. The ground was level, soft yet firm (perfect for a tent) and there was a big picknik table and fire ring for our use. Water was convienient and the potty was near but not to near... Road traffic was fairly constant during the early evenings and mornings and it was a little to close to the main residence to feel truly secluded, but we found the rates reasonable, the site very lovely, the hosts very kind, the animals friendly, and tidy farm.

The Eyrie farm/party tree was a good stay for our needs. It was a lovely farm with good hosts. The party tree is gorgeous however, the location lends itself to a lot of car noise and farm animals during the night - which was no big deal but kept us up (bring ear plugs!). So if you are sensitive to noise, I recommend the other areas within the farm. The food provided was great!

We only stayed 1 night but we had a very nice time. The area is beautiful with an awesome winery right down the street. Anna and her husband were very kind. Fresh coffee and pancakes were wonderful. Even got to try fresh duck eggs for the first time! Only wish there were more animals to interact with. All in all we had a great time and would love to come back!

We visited Anna and John's farm and had a wonderful time! They were really sweet and took our daughter and friends around to meet the animals. Our daughter got to feed their beautiful horse, feed and pet the rabbits, hold a baby chicken and more! We got to hang out with their majestic turkey Castor right at the tree. The party tree made the space feel secluded and cozy. They served us breakfast and coffee both mornings and it was really a luxury while camping. They made it easy for us to relax and enjoy just being there. Thank you for the lovely experience!!!

A cute family owned farm. If your looking to pop a tent and stay for the night it works. I was able to even leave my tent up for the couple days I was there. That was nice.

This was a great site to stay at for access to the surrounding mountains and the beaches north of San Diego. There is a bunch of space for different groups to spread out on the pasture, and it was great seeing the animals. For people coming in late summer/fall, just know that there probably will not be grass on the pasture—at the beginning of October we camped on dirt.

Well,, the pictures are deceiving, your literally a stones throw from the busy street , which doesn’t get any quieter at midnight. The yard your camping at , is literally in the front of the house. We could hear the owner at night , that was ackward . We booked two nights but at at 7:30 the next morning we packed up and got the heck out of there. Toooo weird. No thanks. I looked back at the reviews to notice the last ones was in 2018,, that should have been a sign. I should have took photos. Then it wouldn’t seem so negative. Hipcamp don’t allow hosts to post pictures that are opposit of what you get.

Anna was very welcoming, and the hosts took us on a tour of their farm upon our arrival ... introducing us to the quail, turkeys, chickens, rabbits, horse and guard dog. My daughter (age 9) loved it! Unfortunately, we weren’t able to stay because a member of our party started feeling sick from something she ate before we arrived at Eyrie Farm. But we plan to go back very soon.

The Eyrie Farm was amazing. I had a great time visiting! Come say hi to all the FUN farm animals.

Ducks: Minerva, Fleur, Harley & Quinn, Bucky, Jester II, several unnamed
Goose: Lucy / Lucifer.
Anna and John are really nice. I had a chance to have a delicious breakfast with them.
The campsite it in the front of the property but not right next to the street. The space is huge and it's right under a huge tree that they call the "Party Tree".
The host give you a lot of space and not in your business. They will check you in and then you can come and go as you want.
This is a very unique location and I highly recommend it. :)

Party Tree at Eyrie Farm
We had a great weekends at the Eyrie Farm. The host responds promptly to our messages. Our kids enjoy visiting the farm animals: chicken, goose, horse, rabbit, turkey. The site that we booked was spacious enough for 4 adults and 4 kids. The restroom is clean (but it would be better if we can have some light on the way from the camping site to the restroom, because it was scary a little bit to go to restroom at night.) Otherwise, we had great experience with the booking.

I was very excited to stay at the Eyrie farm with my girlfriend for our anniversary, as we have had a lot of success staying on farm properties of the same description. With that said, staying in what could only be described as a dirty, unventilated and poorly converted storage shed does not come close to the expectations given by this overly optimistic and heavily curated listing, and I would strongly suggest you stay elsewhere.
Two hours before we arrived, I received a hostile message from the host accosting us for leaving the gate open to the farm — hardly the way to make a guest feel invited when we haven’t even set foot on the property. When we finally did arrive, the host was on her way “out to dinner” and hastily showed us around the place and took off before we really had time to talk or ask any questions.
What we were left with was really a hard sight to behold after a long day on the road — we walked into a hot stuffy room that had clearly not been meaningfully cleaned in any capacity. The bed was made, but there were stains on the blanket and hairs and suspect splotches on the white sheets. The bathroom was particularly dirty, with dust, spiders and bugs abound. The water reeked of sulfur, so much so that we could not shower or drink it. The washing machine was covered in loose dirt and the only way to turn it on was with a wrench. The ceiling fan hardly did more than push around the stuffy air in this room with only a paperback sized window.
When the host did come back, I asked her if she had another fan to use, and she pointed to the small ineffective space heater on the table already in use and said “that’s a fan” and told us we could leave the door open — not exactly ideal when the outside was teeming with more bugs than inside. I brought up the sheets and she insisted that they were clean and that there was another set under the bed. During this interaction, a wasp flew into the room and she hastily caught it and threw it out with her bare hands. She brought us some fresh eggs, which was a nice gesture, but not exactly the kind of hospitality we were looking for in this situation. The hot plate and used condiments in the mini fridge did not exactly inspire a home cooked breakfast.
We decided to change the sheets and do our best to get comfortable, which was exceedingly difficult given the 85 degree nighttime temperature and no real ventilation. I can say I did not sleep very well at all and we wanted to get out of there as soon as possible in the morning.
After we left early the next day, I received a message from the host letting me know that because I “needlessly” used the extra sheets that she would be charging an extra $5 cleaning fee. As if this entire experience was not aggravating enough, she had the audacity to scold us yet again and scrape us for five bucks.
If you are offering up a patch of land to let someone pitch a tent on, you don’t need to have any standard of accommodations because your guests pack in and pack out what they need. But if you are offering a bed to stay in, there is a very different base level of attentiveness and consideration that you need to have. This host does not come close to meeting that base level. If you only have $60 to spend on your accommodations for the night, better stay at the Motel 6.

We had a good stay. She accommodated our last moment booking and breakfast as well. On our first day, we got late by 17 min to do check-in because our balloon ride got pushed out, but she was cooperative and let us checked in. However, I would highly recommend to try to follow in-time. We also got to feed horse and see new born turkey baby, which was an amazing experience. Thank you!

An fun place to stay! Lots of animals and our hosts were very nice. They gave us a tour and let us feed the animals. The site is right beside their house so it’s definitely not fit for a ‘party’ but it’s a fun way to spend a night or two camping. Very close to town. Lots of grocery stores and restaurants near by

Party Tree at Eyrie Farm
The camp spot was very spatious and the tree provided a great amount of shade. The hosts were enthusiastic about being welcoming towards us and I had a great time learning about the animals on the farm. The signage outside on the gate could probably be larger just so it’s clear where to turn in. Overall, camping at the party tree was wonderful and I’m glad I went!

We just got back from such a fun night on the farm. We took our five year old here for his first camping experience and it was wonderful. He loved it and so did we. The site was just as pictured and we had a great tour of the farm with Anna and John so highly recommend adding that. We also added breakfast and that was a delicous We had the opportunity to collect our own firewood from the scrap wood pile so it was good we had packed an ax to chop some of that. Definitely recommend bringing ear plugs, the roosters and dogs are loud throughout the night.

Great for bike camping. Rode from Encinitas to Ramona for one night stay. Anna was quick to reply via text. We rolled in, set up camp, and left before sunrise. Had everything we needed and a rooster to make sure we didn’t oversleep. Great burritos just 2 miles down the road.
