2 acres hosted by Kathy G.
1 lodging site · 2 tent sites
The Enchanted Hollow is a quaint 2 acre homestead canopied with large oak trees, a creek running across the land to a small pond, year round green pastures just minutes from the small community of Penn Valley. Sounds of wildlife surround. Sharing land, water and air with a wide variety of birds including hawks and owls. Squirrels, lizards and deer even small fox play in the surroundings. Night chorus of frogs and crickets. Fish, turtles and amazing birds are found in and around the pond. There is a crystal labyrinth on the property that can aid in grounding and meditation. Lay in a hammock or hanging chair and commune with nature. The Hollow is 10 minutes from downtown Grass Valley about 15 minutes to Nevada City (for strolling/shopping), and 15 minutes to Bridgeport Crossing on the Yuba River, (which is a great swimming spot), or Englebright Lake, (for great fishing). There are also many other great river and hiking trails nearby. Fine dining, bar, a grocery store and other convenience stores are minutes away.

Enchanted Hollow Campsite Tranquil
This is a great facility run by even better people. Kathy and Michael were friendly, caring and very accommodating. Their dog Milo is a furry, friendly and gentle. They commented that they have a rooster but all the chickens were well behaved and quiet. No surprise wake up calls. The grass was soft and easy to stake on, trees were well spaced for multiple hammocks. The composting toilet/restroom was clean and odorless. Shower provided hot water and good water flow. Highly recommended!

Peaceful Grassy Meadow
Such a sweet experience in a beautiful grassy field below Kathy’s homestead, it’s all you need for a peaceful get away. She was so kind and made us feel very welcomed! The town is also very sweet and welcoming, we enjoyed the farmers market and the short gorgeous drive to Yuba River!

Enchanted Golden Bell Tent
What a great weekend getaway! I drive up from the Bay Area and Kathy was outside to great me and show me around. I brought my pet bunny with me and he loved spending time grazing on the grass. I spent the day in Nevada City, only a 30 minute drive from Kathy’s place. I’ll keep this place on list for the next time I need a break from the city. 😁

Enchanted Golden Bell Tent
Absolutely beautiful space! Kathy and her husband did a wonderful job making this such a peaceful and welcoming stay. They greeted us upon arrival and gave us a quick tour of the property. Amazing tent with easy access and parking. There is a compostable toilet, filtered water, hammocks, a fan, and much much more. This was such an amazing experience I could go on and on. This is one of my favorite places I’ve ever stayed.

Enchanted Hollow Campsite Tranquil
We loved tent camping at Kathy’s! It was an easy and perfect get-away We just wanted to be on quiet land and play frisbee, cribbage & catch up on reading. Kathy is a super sweet host and showed us around her property. Loved the green grassy area that we pitched a tent on. Cooking is easy if you bring a camp stove and cooler. We went out to dinner as well- restaurants are about 7 minutes from site. Kathy is very knowledgeable re Permaculture Practices, sustainable living, healthy food and does some really great energy work. We will definitely return for more peace and solitude!
