Welcome to The Bunkie @ Wild Family Homestead We’re so happy you’ve chosen to spend time with us! Whether you’re here to unplug, celebrate, explore, or simply enjoy a quiet weekend in the woods, we know you’ll feel right at home. Wild Family Homestead is an 11-acre, family-owned homestead that we’re building one project at a time. Our days are busy away from the homestead, but here on the property, life slows down. It’s peaceful, relaxed, and centered around enjoying the simple things—gardening, caring for the animals, and creating a place where guests can unwind and feel at ease. Camping at The Bunkie is truly glamping. We have electricity at the site, but we use it minimally. A propane camping stove, candles, a gas BBQ, an oil lantern, and other essentials are included. Up to five people can sleep in The Bunkie. Guest are more than welcome to set up additional tents in the camping area. • One queen mattress in the upstairs loft, accessible by ladder only. • One double pull-out egg-crate foam pad with sheets and blankets provided. • One couch suitable for a child. During your stay, we invite you to enjoy the taste of the homestead. Guests have the option to order seasonal vegetables, fresh fruit, and homemade baked goods, ready for you to enjoy during your stay, make your visit even more relaxing. Check out the "Extra's Tab" to add additional Camping gear, Fire Pit, Propane, Camping Chairs or Garden veggies, S’more’s, etc. Sit back, enjoy the view, and wind down with a classic DVD movie. We will have everything you need make a camping meal and morning coffee. Pour over drip coffee, Tea Kettle, 2-burner gas stove, BBQ, 1-Pot/1-Pan , silverware/plate/bowls and simple spices.

The Bunkie @ Wild Family Homestead
We had such a wonderful stay here. It was the perfect place to unplug, slow down, and enjoy being together as a family. Our mornings started with pour-over coffee and farm-fresh eggs and vegetables, the kids loved exploring the property and seeing the animals, and our evenings were spent around the campfire making hot dogs. The stargazing was amazing, you could see everything. I really enjoyed watching DVD’s with my kids and explaining what a DVD was! The whole stay had such a peaceful, simple feel to it, and our host was incredibly kind and welcoming. It was exactly the reset we were hoping for. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a quiet escape

Great spot for a last minute trip to the Yuba with our dogs! Clean and brand new construction. Loved sitting out on the porch and doing some star gazing. It was blazing hot the weekend we were there - the swamp cooler helped, thank you!

Weekend getaway with 3 kids.

The Bunkie @ Wild Family Homestead
Whether it’s camping/glamping, AirBnB, Hotel, as seasoned travelers with kids, we usually pack & haul all of our travel essentials with us. While we recognize this may not be ideal for some, we certainly appreciate that The Bunkie had most of these same essentials and more. We visited during a fire ban, but the provided propane grill and stove handled all of our cooking needs. The bunkie was also fully stocked with all the essential cookware to prepare and enjoy our meals. A swamp cooler kept the cabin comfortable, especially in the early evening, and the DVD setup was a huge bonus that helped our young children fall asleep. If you are looking for a peaceful and quiet escape, this is the place. We look forward to visiting The Bunkie again in the future. Note: The rest of the property is currently under construction, so expect to see some work areas and materials nearby.
