Tepee at Mojave Campsite: (a Lakota word) is a dwelling that first originated with indigenous Indian tribes predominantly in the Great Plains. Archaeological evidence dates to an initial period 2,500 years ago. Such tribes as Kiowa Apache, Blackfoot, Cree, Cheyenne, Lakota, and Comanache utilized the tepee. Our Mojave Campsite teepee faces east, allowing a gentle sunrise to warm the interior. Properly vented for fresh air circulation, supportive poles point high to the Creator, yet firmly grounded in Mother Earth. The accommodations are complete with solar lighting, a cozy queen size bed, laundered sheets, blankets, side tables, comfortable chair, and a guitar. The fully enclosed bathroom with flushing toilet and sink are steps away. Campsite bench table with umbrella and a firepit are also, close by.
