Stallion Oaks is a Star Host
Star Hosts are highly rated, responsive, and committed to providing incredible experiences.
In 2003, the Grosvenor Family Foundation donated the 238-acre retreat property located in Descanso to The Unity Center. Much of the land, including more than 12 structures were destroyed during the Cedar Fires in October of 2003. In the years since the fire, members of our community have lovingly tended to the land and slowly nurtured the trees and flowers. The result is acres of pristine wilderness, with hiking trails, a small lake and even a hill of daffodils that bloom every Spring. Our vision is to create a world-class retreat center and campground that promotes spiritual renewal and personal growth in a natural setting, by providing a location for education, inner reflection, positive recreation and acceptance. The Ranch is owned by The Unity Center, a progressive spiritual community that emphasizes living consciously and making a positive difference in the world. This is a sacred and special place . So whether you're planning a retreat, a wedding or a special event, we hope you'll come away from the Ranch feeling renewed.

Stallion Oaks Ranch ~Tent Site

Tent site · Sleeps 6
Escape from the hustle and bustle of the everyday world and immerse yourself in nature. Delight in starry nights rather than city lights. Reconnect with the deepest part of yourself and feed your soul at Stallion Oaks Ranch where people of all ages come together to recharge, relax and rebuild their lives. A truly unique experience!  At this time there are (20) main dedicated tent-sites, (2 of 5) 16-foot bunk-bed yurts, and (1 of 6) 24-foot bunk-bed yurts near the common areas,  available for camping spaces.  The 16-foot bunk-bed Yurts have (3) bunk beds in them, which can sleep up to six people. The 24-foot bunk-bed Yurts have (7) bunk beds in them, which can sleep up to fourteen people. No linens are provided for bunk-beds.   The numbered (1-12) tent sites have partial shade; the alphabetical (A-I) tent sites have no shade and are entirely in the sun.  There are no special set-up at the sites, only ground for pitching tents. There is one communal campground fire-ring that can be utilized by all onsite.  Fire usage will be allowed in this fire-ring only and must be approved by the site managers and local Fire Marshall, based on fire safety levels during camp-out periods. We cannot guarantee fire-ring use during your stay. Bring your own propane camp-stove (recommended) for cooking personal meals... and plenty of blankets and warm gear for evenings. Onsite, there are (3) more additional 30-foot open-space yurts and one large open space Barn-Lodge Meeting Hall.  Although, there is a swimming pool onsite, it is not available for rent during camping events.  All of these additional spaces are reserved for use during special events and must be rented directly through the owners of the property, The Unity Center - San Diego, at special event pricing and have special rental restrictions and terms.  Stallion Oaks Ranch is a privately owned and operated outdoor retreat venue, covering 243 acres which is backed up against the National Forest and is located in a fairly secluded mountain-residential area.  The site has multiple walking trails located on the property (including a trail-head to Pacific Crest Trail), a walk-around lake, peace-pole with full-size labyrinth under the oak trees, a man-made medicine wheel, and multiple meditation spots, along with a couple outdoor gazebos.  The property is located just 45 minutes from downtown San Diego and several beaches and just 15 minutes away from Viejas Casino and about 30-60 minutes away from other common tourist sites.
