Everything was great at this campsite. It had a cute fire pit and felt private even though there is another site next door. They had wonderful communication and were very helpful upon arrival. I would highly recommend.

A lovely, peaceful spot. We camped in the #2 site, which is close by the shower and bathroom. Ken is super nice and helpful. Would stay again!

We had a great tent camping experience here! Such a nice space and location, and so many artistic and thoughtful additions to the site create a wonderful environment. The host was available for any questions and gave us several recommendations for hikes in the area. (Montana de Oro State Park nearby is truly a gem for hiking by the ocean.) We would definitely stay here again!

We had a great stay at SLO #1 - Ken greeted us upon arrival and was a wealth of knowledge when we asked for local dinner recommendations and about the area in general. The site is more improved than many - touches like a communal sink and private shower (cold water), solar lighting, and a porta-potty were appreciated. Our site-mates were lovely to chat with as well, and as our spaces shared a divider/fence, there was mutual respect for one another's privacy, too.

What a great spot! This spot has incredible views of the rolling hills and vineyards surrounding the area from the ample provided seating in the shade. My son and I loved our stay and used ours days to ride bikes around SLO county while enjoying campfire time in the evenings at the camp. Ken and Judy are simply the most welcoming and kind people you will meet and were there to help us out with any needs we had. We’ll definitely be back.

We had a wonderful evening staying on this beautiful property...just one night, but it was SO quiet and we slept so well. The birdsong in the morning was lovely and the ride out to the property was great...so great to meet wonderful people through hipcamp.

We last minute (I mean 7pm night of) and they were so welcoming and had everything prepped for us. The property has everything you could dream of. It truly felt like a vacation. We will definitely be coming back and bringing friends!

Great little camp. Beautiful views of the rolling hills and vineyards. The hosts were very thoughtful and communicative. Bathroom is a porta potty style, but VERY clean. Would highly recommend to anyone planning a trip to or thru the SLO/Avila Beach/Pismo Beach area.

Site 1 - SLO Country Camp
We spent two nights at this well-appointed campsite. Level parking, nice chairs, picnic table and fire pit along with a clean potty and kitchen clean up area. It's quiet with lots of special decorative touches. The site is a short drive to San Luis Obispo and the coast. We went kayaking from Avila and Morro Bay, strolled downtown SLO and found a nearby brewery for more relaxation. I would definitely camp here again.

We really enjoyed our stay here! We’re a family of 5; plus two dogs and my mom joined us as well. The scenery is just beautiful, weather was great. We got to see cool wildlife, lots of birds, and listened to owls and coyotes at night. The added features of portapotty (very clean) and the “kitchen” and sink make the camping experience super easy. Camp hosts are very responsive and welcoming. We would definitely recommend staying here.

We have stayed and Ken and Judi’s place before and absolutely love it. Proximity to SLO and ease of getting to and from the campsite is a huge plus. Ken comes by to check on his guests and everything was prepared for us in advance. Highly recommend!

The campsite was pretty private and more amenities than we expected! The fire pit was great and we liked that there was a sink to wash dishes in. Also, it was quite peaceful as there is only one other site and there is plenty of space between them. I would recommend staying here.

Beautiful rural neighborhood with rolling hills and close to town. Host was so great and the camp sight was very well maintained. I felt very safe camping alone. Went on a walk around the neighborhood and it was very picturesque. Highly recommend!

Camping at Ken and Judi’s is always fantastic. The layout is perfect. Enough privacy if you want it, but it’s easy to say hi to your neighbor (and pet their dog) if that’s what you’re into. Having a shower and a kitchen sink is an added bonus. We love staying here and will be back I’m sure!

I loved tent camping at the property. It was just as advertised, and a perfect little get away. Directions were easy and everything was clean. The hosts were easy to communicate with. I brought my dog who also had a great time. I will definitely be coming back!

Ken and Judi’s place was a perfect stay for a quick overnight for me and my friends. The location is beautiful and quiet. The sites are very clean and with all the amenities you could need. Firewood, sink, toilet, shower, etc. The sites are close to the main house but still private. There is a beautiful orchard full of different stone fruits and apples nearby and cats roaming around. Ken came out to make sure we settled in nicely and he was very kind, generous and knowledgeable. We had a lovely time.

We loved camping at Ken and Judi’s! Beautiful and well-planned sites with greenery and lights. Nice fire pits and camp kitchen facilities. Gorgeous views all around and an amazing sunset. Close to towns and many activities. We hiked at Johnson Ranch just down the road, a wonderful dog friendly trail, before heading to the beach. Highly recommend Ken and Judi’s and will return next time we are in the area!
