Hidden Riverside Refuge
This campsite was awesome! Staying right above the river was relaxing and beautiful. David was a communicative and helpful host, letting us arrive late on Friday night and even lending us a camp stove when I forgot ours at home. I hope we can come back and camp by the river again soon!

Hidden Riverside Refuge
Man! I didn't want to leave, this place was so much fun. I came on a weekday and had the entire campground to myself. It was located right alongside the river and nestled in between some lovely mountainous cliffs. SO BEAUTIFUL.
There was an amazing outdoor shower available (cold water) and toilets (porta potty). Each campsite had picnic tables too, there are some rules for the grills there, so just check in with the camp host if you plan on using one.
At night, it was so quiet. Well, you hear the river, but it's peaceful ya know. You can see the milky way!!! Boy oh boy! That was my favorite part.
The surrounding town, Knights Ferry, is such a cool little historic place. A population of only 98 people, old storefronts, a museum, and the longest wooden bridge west of the Mississippi is located just right down the road from the camp.
The next morning, I woke up and met up with our hosts who run River Journey Adventures and they took me kayaking/rafting down the river! The river changes year round, so right now it was pretty chill going down the river. Be sure to check in with them for a fun trip!!
