Serenity Lake Tent Camp
Amazing stay! Would highly recommend. The lake is a great way to cool down, make sure to bring a floatie to really enjoy it. There's a fire pit, picnic tables, flushing toilet and hot shower for use too. Allen also had firewood and ice available for purchase, he was a great host. We did see a couple of scorpions, so just be aware of those, someone in our group was bitten but it was harmless! Will definitely be back!

Serenity Lake was amazing. My husband and I stayed for a week in the middle of July, so we knew we’d be in for some hooot weather. Even then we were a lil unprepared. Our cooler really wasn’t big enough for all the things we needed to keep cool. Allen was a lifesaver and gave us a styrofoam cooler he had! Then we were all set to face the heat. The water was cold and refreshing and a beautiful color. There was a lot of wind and a lot of ants, but hey it’s the desert. Overall, we had a very relaxing time away at Serenity Lake.

The lake is really nice and Allen is great. We came there with three kids and a dog and they had a blast. Don't let the way to the place confuse you, the town is slowly disappearing but the lake is very nice.
Only issue we had was a massive amount of wind. Need a strong tent!!

Serenity Lake is a beautiful property that is well-maintained by Allen. He was a great host and super accommodating. He really set a welcoming tone as we were greeted at gate. The property is divided into RV pull-in and tent sites. Everything was easy to navigate and Allen, again made us feel at home. He had kayaks for rent and firewood (which were both brought out to us by him).
The views from each direction are amazing! The man made lake is very clean and filtered. It was awesome to take a dip during a hot day. There are lots of trees and space to enjoy. There is a restroom and shower nearest to the entrance which was handcrafted with art inside. Everything was definitely well-thought out. So unique.
Great visit! Hoping to come again.

Amazing place! Super private & quiet with beautiful views of the mountains & desert. We happened to be the only ones there so extra special having the lake to ourselves. Allen is an excellent host & super helpful. Even had jumper cables for one of our cars whose battery had died. Highly recommend!

This camping trip was perfect! At first I was a little hesitant about reserving but I’m glad we did. The lake kept us cool from the heat. The bathroom and shower were clean and cute. Allen was great and checked on us to make sure we were good. Thank you Allen for your hospitality!

This was a our first time at a private lake and i have zero complaints, the Lake was kept super clean and the restroom and showers were clean as well, the campsites were very far from each other so it feels like you have so much space to do what you want, the Lake is clean and fun to play in, they rent out paddle boards and pedal boats but we did not rent any, make sure to take inflatables to hang out in the Lake, Allen was super helpful and always around if you needed him, i would definitely be coming back soon

Everything about this location was perfect. We just happen to go on the wrong weekend. Super windy and cold but there was a time during our stay where the sun did come out and the wind calmed down. We brought in rented AVTs so we were able to enjoy the great open land near the campsite. Alan was very nice and accommodating I loved how the bathroom had the ceiling open. The whole campsite was well kept. I can honestly see myself coming back on a much hotter time to really enjoy the water.

The pictures and reviews are as accurate as they come. The place was relaxing and beautiful.
Also, Allen was a fantastic host!!! He gave us tips where to fish on the lake, dropped off ice, delivered firewood we picked out...he was just the best a host can be :)

Too awesome!! A tropical paradise in the middle of the desert. Built by Allen himself. Awesome fishing, swimming, campfire pits, sites, trees.....even the sand is amazing. I could go on and on. You'll just have to go see for yourself.

This was one of the coolest camping experiences! Allen was an incredible and hospitable host. We purchased firewood from him and he even helped us set up our fire. We sat by the fire, ate dinner under the stars and stayed up late chatting by the lake. It was so perfect to get to camp in an oasis while traveling through the desert (I don’t think I’d camp in the desert unless in a oasis—-way too hot). We will definitely be back again when we have more time to swim and boat around the lake for sure! Thanks so much!!

We absolutely love this camp ! Allen was by far the best camp host we’ve ever had ! The lake was so pretty and perfect for cooling off! Desert winds picked up in the evening which is super common for the area/time of year. We’re already planning our next trip back ! ◡̈

Like everyone else here we had an excellent experience. This campsite checked off all of the boxes for us and I would highly recommend it to anyone. It is extremely well run and worth the cost. Hopefully we will get to visit again sometime. Thank you for everything Allen!

Serenity Lake is an absolute gem! Allen was an awesome host. Very kind and generous! We were lucky enough to enjoy the entire property by ourselves! We had an amazing time floating on the lake and dirt biking in the surrounding area! We will definitely be back!

Serenity Lake Tent Camp
We had the best stay at Serenity Lake, and we highly recommend it to others who are looking for a very low-key, relaxing weekend next to a beautiful little lake with outstanding hospitality.
Our group included three adults, two kids (first time campers) and a dog. The trip to Serenity Lake from Downtown LA took 3 hours on the way there (and 2 hours on the way back), so it was an easy drive. Allen greeted us at the gate, let us choose our campsite, gave us the lay of the land, and checked on us periodically over the course of the weekend. He, at various times, sold us firewood & ice (very convenient), blew up our pool floats with his air compressor, gave us tips about different parts of the lake, weighed in on a minor veterinary issue our pup had, and was just in general a totally kind and friendly person. The lake water temperature was perfect for a hot day, and we enjoyed watching sunrise and sunset right from our campsite. Pro tip: bring a device with the Skyview app. We were able to see Mars, Venus, and a bunch of constellations at night.

The site was great and the view of the night sky and sunset were spectacular. Allen was a great host and very accommodating to his guests. Kids had a lot of fun playing in the water. The bathroom was very clean and well-kept. Great spot to visit with friends or for families. Would definitely visit again.

Serenity Lake is awesome! Allen's creation on this land is so impressive. He has made this property into an oasis in the middle of the desert, which can be no small feat. There are a wide variety of experiences you can have here, from a secluded tent site at the end of the lake to an RV site with full hookups near the main camping area. The amenities are great:

∙ Large firepit
∙ Potable water
∙ Flushing toilet + awesome bathroom
∙ Firewood for purchase at camp
The water felt like a bath and while you are in the middle of the desert, there are a number of trees planted throughout the property to provide respite from the sun. My trip was pretty quick here, but I would definitely come back and stay for longer if I had the chance. This is a great place to get away from the city, recharge and stargaze.

Fantastic time here. We went at the hot time of year and on a holiday weekend. I’d recommend bringing your own shade, all the spots have shade that moves with the sun throughout the day, but we were very grateful to be able to have more shade than just the trees provide. Thankfully the lake is a few steps away to cool off at any moment. It was more crowded than usual according to our host, as to be expected on holiday weekends. The sites were laid out with more than enough privacy. The host is very nice, easy to talk to, and quite available for your ice/firewood needs.
