Come get some space and some fresh air with your "household" on a private 1 acre campsite overlooking the vast pacific ocean. More than anything, we want you and your household to feel at ease away from the crowds without hiking 50 miles into the wilderness. Perched on a 100' cliff facing south and west from the north point of Ocean Cove on the Sonoma Coast, Separate Star Point is an untamed, rustic yet majestic environment - perfect for connecting with the elements. Take advantage of the infinite possibilities for adventurous rock climbers and fishermen or find your cliffside perch and let your spirit soar with the osprey across expansive pacific views and rugged rock formations. positioned about 75 yd down hill from the house (where myself or family may be staying during your visit). you will have plenty of privacy. Separate Star Point is located less than 1 mi from Salt Point State Park's southern entrance, a pardise for mushroom hunters and those who wish to wander in the wilderness or explore the coastline. 5 mi to the historic Fort Ross State Park (early Russian settlement). Drive 10 min north to Two Fish Bakery for artisanal deli sandwiches, baked goods etc and WIFI or treat yourself to fine dining and local wines at the Timbercove Inn. 2.5 hrs north of SF. 1 campsite w/ fire pit. Guests love staying here "There’s not much to add than what’s already been said — this site is an absolute stunner. Stayed for two nights and we were so sad to leave it. Setting up tent right next to the oceans edge on a bluff and waking up to the wide openness was like nothing we’ve experienced when camping, we found the views rivaling the lost coast (except you’re right near civilization if you need it). We can’t wait to come back!"

Beautiful view but noisy/overpriced
As others have shared, stunning views from this campsite. We may have had some bad luck, but this site turned out to be insanely loud with nearby chainsawing at 7am on a Saturday morning. Also there was a sweet cat hanging around the campsite - not sure if was the hosts or a neighbor's - but it was all fine until nighttime when it was raining and the cat jumped on our tent trying to get out of the rain, he totally destroyed the rain fly and it ended up raining in all night! Not to mention ruining my tent. Ah! Despite the beautiful views, we had a pretty uncomfortable stay here.

Great experience!
We loved camping on Benjamins land and honestly an amazing experience! The view is honestly the most unbelievable view you will get (camping or not) and the site was clean and big! The port-o-potty was beyond clean and it was easy to go and come as we pleased. Things I would prepare for when camping here (and nothing having to do with Benjamin or his amazing land!).... 1) This is not exactly a car camping spot and you will have to park your car at the top of a hill and walk all of your stuff down to the site so be prepared for that. We packed a little heavier than we needed to and thought we would be camping out of our trunk. 2) My BF and I live in California (and he's a very experienced camper) but were not aware that this part of the cost is very tick heavy, so make sure to check for ticks often and if you bring your dog (like we did) do an extensive tick check (even if you think they are fine).

This place is a dream! From the incredible view of the ocean cliffs, the privacy of the space, the sound of the waves, the beautiful stars at night, and the forest right behind you! Would highly recommend a stay here!

Sunset, stars, and a kitty cat
I had a beautiful, peaceful, and private outdoor experience with a helpful host and a very friendly and attentive cat. The instructions were detailed and useful. I'd definitely come back again. I found the surf at night (in February) to be alot louder than I expected -- much louder at night than in the day, so I'd be cautious if you're sensitive to that kinda thing. While there is a bench there, I was glad to have brought my own chair and table to prepare food/eat.

Star Point Camp is amazing. You are not going to find better views in a space that feels all your own. We stayed in our roof top tent in the parking location-we could still see the ocean-and our friend was in a tent down at the site. The site has a great fire pit and the water hose was a nice bonus, making cleanup easy. We wanted for nothing and can't wait to come back!

This is the best campsite you’ll ever find I promise. The views are amazing, you’re tucked far enough away that you really do feel like you have your own slice of the cove, and the site itself is perfect! Our dog loved it too!

The views were beautiful and it wasn’t too cold as I expected which is good. This is good for a light packing trip. Water is available around the site. Definitely will come back!

We had a great time at Separate Star just soaking in the views and relaxing. The stars were stunning — the Milky Way dipping into the ocean on the horizon! Lots of room to spread out multiple tents, and plenty of great hammock trees for enjoying a book or a nap, plus Simone the cat will gladly come visit and snuggle. There was parking for the car campers and a campervan, though it’s not 100% flat (close enough), but if you’re coming here not to tent camp, you’re missing out! The firepit area had a bench, but bring your own camp chairs and a table if you have one. There’s a convenient hose to put out fires by the pit. The site’s a couple minutes’ walk down the hill from the parking and porta potty, so prepare to make a couple of trips to bring things down. The property’s right in town, and those with Verizon were able to send and receive texts, though not much else. We didn’t want to leave.

I camped here last week for my birthday and could not recommend it more. Spectacular views and the host has the sweetest cat who hung out with us pretty much the entire time. Best money I've ever spent. Highly recommend stopping at Aquatica Cafe in Jenner, and also to bring cash if you plan to buy firewood in town as firewood is cash only and there are no ATMs or cash-back places close by. Thank you Benjamin for a such special birthday! I hope to return in the future.
