Sandy Beach County Park stands out as a unique destination along the Sacramento River, just south of Rio Vista, offering a blend of natural beauty and recreational opportunities year-round. This park features a 24-hour boat launch, making it an ideal spot for water enthusiasts, while its sandy beach provides a picturesque setting for relaxation, although swimming is not permitted due to strong currents and sudden drop-offs. The campground is well-equipped with 42 individual campsites, each featuring hookups for electricity and water. Amenities include picnic tables, barbecue pits, hot showers, flush toilets, and an RV dump station. A camp host and a resident Ranger are available to ensure your stay is enjoyable, and firewood is available for purchase. While dogs are welcome in the campground on a leash, they are not permitted in the day-use area, which includes the picnic area and beach. The picnic area overlooks the Sacramento River and is furnished with tables, barbecue grills, and a sand volleyball court, making it a perfect spot for gatherings. Visitors can enjoy the beach, play volleyball, or simply take in the stunning views of the Delta. Please note that picnic tables are available on a first-come, first-served basis, as reservations are not accepted. Fishing is a popular activity here, with opportunities to catch
