Try out camping without having to rough-it! or swing through for a safe place to spend the night in your van, or tent, while taking advantage of San Diego and all it has to offer! Within 30 miles or so, you can plan a visit to the Zoo, Museums, Sea World, Scripps Aquarium, Safari Park, the beaches, or mountain lakes or deserts nearby! San Diego Canyon Creek is a small patch of woods, near a road in a neighborhood, surrounded by rocky peaks, with a creek that most often runs year round! We have multiple species of song birds, owls, hawks, and other wildlife that live in this Riparian Habitat, with a chorus of frogs throughout the summer nights. It's a very short walk to the neighborhood park- equipped with several types of playground equipment and public creek access, or a five minute drive to a Crestridge Ecological Preserve containing multiple trails. If you'd like to hang out on the property, we offer a table and chairs with each campsite to lounge in while enjoying the fresh air and nature. In addition, our SHARED amenities include a propane fire pit, an outdoor kitchen with mini fridge, blender, coffee maker, kitchen sink, including, hot water, a two burner stove, a griddle, a toaster oven and a BBQ area. The bathroom now includes a flush toilet, sink and shower. We are continuously making improvements. Fun Fact: Harbison Canyon was named after John Stewart Harbison - aka the King of the Bee Keepers. He arrived with over one hundred colonies of bees in 1874 and within 7 years he became the worlds largest honey producer. Today there are just a few bees in the area.

Creekside Campsite
It’s a BEAUTIFUL spot but so loud. Really loud cars race by throughout the day and evening. But the site is lovely and if you don’t mind loud cars occasionally coming by, you will enjoy this site.

Honeycomb Cabin
Stayed here 2 peaceful days!
I liked that there was a tiny cabin to stay in & that there was a full outdoor kitchen & bathroom. I would like to suggest that the tiny home could have a light at the head of the bed for reading at night. Although this may not be possible, a screen for the front door of the cabin that could have a lock on it would be nice to create a cool draft inside. Otherwise I would like to suggest a larger rectangular fan to fit into the window. The bed was comfortable & I slept well. The bathroom &shower were clean. Great shower! Adding hooks near the shower for your towel to hang from could eliminate any excess water on the floor. It was nice to have a table with 2 chairs under an umbrella by the cabin. The creek was nice & relaxing to listen to in the evening along with the tiny frogs. Lots of birds & huge trees added to the beauty & shade along with the large tarps hanging over the kitchen & BBQ area. All outdoor campers know that no matter what there will be tiny ants outside so be really careful not to leave crumbs anywhere & clean up in the kitchen to avoid them. In regards to traffic noise, that is everywhere in CA. The hammocks were a nice touch although the one by the cabin is a bit low to the ground with a very open weave. Obviously a crowd favorite, from plenty of use. It was nice to talk with Laura as she & I figured out her brand new BBQ! I was only the 2nd person to use it. Laura was very nice. Overall a relaxing getaway for me! Thank you Laura!

Cute & close to activities
I brought my little sister (13) camping here for her first time and it was great! The communal kitchen is super convenient, the bathroom was clean and the campsite was close to many hikes. The host, Laura, was super friendly and accommodating. Thanks so much!

Waterfall Campsite
Easy getaway plus extras
Frogs, crickets, birds and a babbling brook. Count the stars at night and explore the creek in the day, or just relax in the hammock. It's all good. Outdoor kitchen, fire pit, and tables provided.
