Saddle Up Camp

Loved this spot. So cool to be around all the horses. It is a working farm so expect there to be animals and noises, but I thought that’s what made this stay unique. The landscape is beautiful as well and the host is super friendly and easy to talk to! Definitely would go back!

Great overnight stay!

We had a great night camping at Saddle Up! We were on Site 12 which was well described and perfectly located for a great sunset view. The directions to the site were on point and our family enjoyed meeting the horses and goats! Perfect for an overnight stay. The owner was super friendly and next time we will definitely explore the horseback riding available.

Saddle Up Ranch Site 10

Overall, it was a unique experience. No one was really there to welcome us but on our way in we bumped into someone who didn’t give us the correct site. All understandable because everyone was working. We were eventually told where our site was, and then was given the option to relocate. I had no idea the sites would be so close to the horses, but we’re generally pretty flexible with new experiences. Plus the horses were beautiful and friendly! They’d walk towards us when we’d get close. We loved all 3 dogs and a cat that came to visit our site! That was awesome. We only did 1 night, it was a quick getaway for Father’s Day. You can tell the people there really cared about the ranch and animals though. We pitched our tent, made dinner and slept good for the most part.

Camping in proximity to horses was a treat. The ranch owner TJ is a very welcoming person and always ready to answer questions. We had a couple of pre-teen girls who were very happy to be allowed to help with the horses. Our whole group of 10 people went on a horse walk and TJ was not only unbelievable energetic in telling us stories she was also masterful at getting our youngest of five years old to go from nervous crying and afraid to get on a horse to smiling on top of a horse for 1.5 hours.

My girlfriend and I had a great stay here! We stayed at site 11, which was very close and a great view of the horses, had a picnic table, grill, fire pit, and plenty of space. All the animals are beautiful and well taken care of by the owners. We highly recommend this place, and encourage tips for the hard work and expense the owners put in, and the lives they save and give a better life to. Thank you to TJ for being so kind and welcoming!

Saddle Up Ranch is a lovely, tranquil place to camp and a horse lovers paradise. My family were amazed with the beauty of these rescued horses that all seemed so sweet and friendly. We are looking forward to come back for a trail ride. The goats are super cute.

It was a little difficult getting my van into site #5, there were two other sites there next to 5 with no one and the site was very small still. I can only assume these must be walk in tent sites. The host was great though guiding me to my site since I came after daylight and I really like what the camp’s mission is all about.

Great camp if you like to rough it!

We had a great time over Mother's Day weekend. The grounds are primitive. So if you are looking for water hookups, fire rings, full bathrooms with showers this is not that place. Their main focus is taking care of the horses and goats, as it should be. The camping sites are pretty close to each other and on the smaller side. We were a party of 3, and have a 6 person tent. Our original space was site 12, but after seeing it in person it would have been too tiny for us and all our gear (tent, pop up, and propane fire pit). Tony was kind enough to let us change our site to #9. The largest site they had. It was perfect for our needs. Could have probably fit 2 more tents there even. Everyone at the ranch was super kind. There was a little girl named Serenity, that was super friendly and made friends quickly with our daughter. Her dad was kind and helped us find our site. TJ was a gem. Her and her husband appear to be the ones that manage the grounds or own them. Not sure. They were both very kind, but TJ was amazing!!!! She gave our daughter her first lesson on a horse. She was great with her. Super funny and engaging. Watching our daughter on the horse was the highlight of our trip. If you like to rough it, this is the spot for you. I would suggest bringing a canopy. There's not a lot of shady spots. Also bring some fly tape or bug spray, you are on a ranch after all and in the desert, so be prepared. We had a lovely time, thanks Saddle up Ranch!

We LOVED the ranch! The spot (11) was absolutely beautiful, there was a grill and two picnic tables provided and a fire pit too! We had trees and privacy and a great view of horses. The host TJ (Tony) was fabulous and spent time making sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. 10/10 definitely recommend for your next trip!

Thits place was fantastic! If you can set up horseback riding with them - we didn't because we have a five year old but we saw a group and it looked so fun. The horses are nearby and it was so wonderful to see them during our short visit. We also got to see the goats. And there were three gentle dogs that would periodically come and check in on us. They were so sweet. The place was great. Communication was easy and fast. Directions were accurate.

Stayed at campsite 1 with my two doggos. What a great night we had. The horses were so beautiful to look at. We got lucky and were the only ones at the cluster of sites. Had to get a spontaneous camping trip in for night, the local campground was booked out. And I’m glad it was, it was great to find this gem available. I loved how I could book it instantly. Looking forward to coming back soon!

Small site right next to the horse pens, took my 3 yr old here and he loved feeding the horses and goats. It’s fairly close to highway 79 but the noise wasn’t too noticeable. Great hosts, very friendly. Looking forward to coming back and booking some horseback rides next time!

Wow, what a treat! My weekend stay at this spot was awesome! To be surrounded by so many beautiful horses, and to be able to volunteer my time and help out the owner (TJ) and just have a weekend to myself was exactly what I needed. TJ is phenomenal and what she does to help the horses is nothing short of a selfless act. The horse back ride I went on was calming and fun too! I recommend this place for sure.

We had the best time camping on this property! It was private, peaceful, and had such a cute setup. The hosts were welcoming, and we loved getting to interact with the animals—petting them was definitely a highlight! Horseback riding was an unforgettable experience and made the trip even more special. If you’re looking for a relaxing getaway with a touch of adventure, this is the perfect spot. Highly recommend!

LOVED this place! I stayed at site #12 and it was pretty private, it had beautiful views of the mountains and overlooked the ranch. Came with my gf, brother and mom and we all enjoyed it so much. We were thrilled to pet and feed the animals on the ranch and all the beautiful horses! Highly recommend it, the host was awesome and her do Coco is the sweetest! Will be back for second round for the horseback riding!

This place was pretty awesome! Came with 3 other people and we stayed at site #12 the BEST site! Beautiful views of the mountains and the ranch. The host was really nice and helpful. Loved that we were able to feed and pet the horses and their dod Coco was the sweetest and well mannered dog. Will book again, highly recommend it. They also do horseback riding!

My group had a great time hanging out and going horse back riding! The night sky was amazing you could see so many stars. All the camp hosts we ran into were friendly and kind. The bathroom was the cleanest port o potty we have ever seen!

Great to be camping right beside the horses pastures. The view of the mountains is beautiful. We helped feeding the horses and even went on a ride. TJ is a super horse woman. She is also really welcoming, made us feel like we were home!

Weekend at Saddle Up Ranch

We had a great time at the Saddle Up Ranch - I would highly recommend if you are looking for a low key place to sit back and relax. The site was just as advertised and fit our jeep and ground tent really well. It was great walking up and seeing the farm animals and was fun to see the tour groups come and go as well. The staff was super friendly and we even got to feed carrots to all the horses

Camped here with a group of girls and we absolutely loved it. The site is well kept and TJ, the owner, is super friendly. She runs an amazing horse rescue and she was a great guide for horseback riding on the trails. Would recommend!

Tony’s land was perfect for a small getaway during Labor Day Weekend. There were several open campgrounds available that allowed me and my friends to set up and go camping! The horses were a fun added bonus to the trip 🐴

We camped here for one night and arrived at the location at 3 p.m. It was pretty hot, so we waited in our tent until about 5 p.m. before we did anything. It's a beautiful property with a lot of gorgeous horses, sheep, and goats. The owner was really nice and accommodating, too, and my kids enjoyed the animals and being able to roam free. We will be back once the weather cools down. Also, there were a lot of flies, which were gone by 5-6pm.

Camp sites are on top of eachother. We left 2 hours after setting up because all we could hear were our neighbors yelling at their kid who we assume was autistic. Things were already tense because the owners dog peed on the neighbors tent and they blamed us. Owners were nowhere to be found. It was uncomfortable.
