Rivers Bend is the gem of the South Fork of the American River. A sought after location for rafting, kayaking and other river and nature enthusiasts. Rivers Bend has ample space for you to enjoy as you watch the river flow by. We provide bathrooms with showers. Besides rafting and river activities, there are many great hiking/biking trails nearby as well as historical sites and quaint towns. Whether you want to rent a house, park your RV or set up a tent we can probably help you.The River Shack is a air conditioned 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom house that overlooks our camp grounds and river. It has a nice deck and amenities.

Grassy Grove Tent Site

This was a great location, with the river so close by. The grassy area sits inland from a larger group camping/event site which can be rowdy in the early evening but quiets down before bedtime. The camping area is generous, with plenty of room to set multiple tents, and with a picnic table for cooking and lounging. There are a couple trees which can be used for pitching a tarp to ground shelter, which is what I did, but it could be tricky to set up a hammock. Things to note: the 49 is quite close and motorcycles can sometimes be heard but mostly, the river blocks the sound - which is great. The campground is adjacent to a house, which has a fan that can be invasive sometimes. Thankfully, it is mostly white noise that blends in with the river. Finally, the bathrooms are very close by and well-provisioned. Unfortunately, the lights are extremely bright and do cast shadows in the campground so make sure to face your setup away from them. If a diffusion screen were to be put over the windows, this would become a non-issue. Adam was a fantastic host, and I would definitely recommend this location for a laid-back river camp!
