Welcome to Raven's Nest, a slice of West Sonoma County heaven. We are nuzzled in the bosom of Giant Redwoods, Bay Laurel, and Tan Oaks. Sitting atop seven acres, you'll wake and sleep to a foggy treetop eastern view, catching the perfect Moon and Sunrise. Ravens blast the treetop air at dawn and dusk while hawks and quail call through the day. Owl, Steller's Jay, Gray Fox, Squirrel, Racoon, Peace Eagle, Deer, Ring Neck Snake, Giant Salamander, Mountian Lion, Bob Cat, Jack Rabbit, and Skink are just a few of the residents we've seen living here. Raven's Nest sits atop the Salmon Creek Watershed, which flows from the spring water we drink here on Joy rd all the way down to Salmon Creek Beach along HWY1. 100 years of logging, this coastal area of California has been used and abused. It's now our turn to steward this land, the waters, and to help all of its residents thrive. Here is a list of a few activities surrounding Raven's Nest: coastal biking, trail running and hiking, beaches, surfing, farm tours, restaurants, wine, and cannabis tasting.

This place was awesome. Wayland knows how to make a gem of a glamping experience. The crows nest provides the perfect getaway from the hussle and bussle of the city. Everything was clean, the bed was incredibly comfortable and warm and the view was stunning. Couldn't have asked for a better say, and will hopefully be back.

The Nest was an amazing hideaway for the night. The cabin is beautiful and really does feel like a cozy nest in the forest! It was lovely going to sleep and waking up to the view of the treetops and the bed was super comfortable. I'm looking forward to staying here again!

Occidental Weekend Trip
This was a wonderful place to stay for our weekend trip. Nestled in with the trees but only a few minutes away from the cute town of Occidental. There were lots of great hiking trails around, no lack of things to do. The place was cozy, well furnished and had just the right amount of amenities. I would recommend staying here and hope to be back.

Rejuvenation in the Redwoods
I’ve done a great amount of traveling and stayed in some absolutely wonderful places. I would rank this site among them. The redwoods in the misty morning always leave me feeling like I’m in a fantasy. The “nest” has such a charming view, one could stare out for hours and it wouldn’t be anything other than exactly what you needed. I’ll definitely be making my rounds and staying another night or so, when I’m in this beautiful neck of the woods again. Rumor has it, a few luxurious amenities will available in the near future! All the more reason to circle back. Thanks for the hospitality, Wayland!

Incredible space, thoughtful design. We had an amazing time enjoying the silence and the view. Quick trip to downtown for shops and restaurants. Everything you need for a relaxing getaway.

The nest was such a beautiful cabin and we had a great time there. We booked it very last minute and had some communication issues but Wayland was a great host.
