My wife Gigi & I spent three days at Sangria La Wine Country.
The camper we stayed in was the perfect mix of cozy charm and thoughtful comfort. It felt private and intimate, just what we were looking for. Inside, everything was clean, well-organized, and had just the right touches to make us feel at home.
One of our favorite spots was the outdoor pool—sparkling clean, peaceful, and surrounded by nature.
The pagoda area was another highlight. Shaded, breezy, and beautifully designed, it was the perfect spot to just sit and stare out over the valley.
There were so many thoughtful amenities—from the string lights and fire pit to the small grill and various areas to sit. Everything invited us to slow down and savor the moment. We really didn’t want to leave to go on a wine tour because we enjoyed the site so much!
If you're looking for a peaceful, couple-friendly getaway, surrounded by nature with just the right amount of charm and comfort, this is it.

A quaint spot 3 miles or so outside of Ramona. Just tucked away enough you can almost drive by and miss it.
The tiny cabins has its charms, not extravagant but has what you need.
I would recommend keeping the windows cracked, the airflow is superb, did not feel stuffy once. Mind your head when you go to bed or the ceilings are closer than you think but there’s still plenty of room to stretch out your arms.
Nature is an arm reach away, bats eating the bugs at night, mourning doves cooing in the morning, coyotes playfully walk by.
Plenty of eateries nearby, from drunken noodles to shrimp burritos it was a pleasant surprise to get such good food.
I would come again, I’d like to enjoy the pool more and walk around as well.

Loved it - had a great time at the cabin, the pool and grounds were perfect and I loved visiting Ramona, checking out some of the wineries, restaurants and the bakery - and making new friends. Definitely plan to come back.

The property is nice we arrived stayed for two days after we left we were told the trail was dirty and it was not. We were told that we had food and drinks in the pool we did not there was a garbage can fool of water bottles and one adult drink. And the owner complained about everything thing we also paid our cleaning service fee. There was nothing to clean but the trash can and a plate that was left outside. And we were told not to come back. And the reason that is is because we are African American. I would not want to return any where I’m not welcome. Terrible customer service

A truly lovely stay. The pool in July was just fantastic. It has a nice depth, the water is perfect, it has amazing views, plus umbrellas & chairs around.
The tiny cabin is cozy and very nicely appointed as long as you are ok going up the sturdy stair-ladder to go to bed. Many things are supplied, so you don’t need to bring every little thing (silverware, paper towels, etc). We brought pool towels and floats but those were also supplied. This place has it all: Linens, bath towels, basic shower supplies, wifi, AC, etc. It has everything mentioned in the listing and more. Bring a propane tank & tongs to use the bbq and/or fire pit, which were in great condition.
I was glad we brought drinking water, but there was even a pitcher of water in the little fridge. Maybe also bring mosquito repellent if you’ll be out at dusk in the summer (otherwise we didn’t see them).
Location is convenient while also being extremely peaceful and remote. I love this part of our California countryside.
We did not get to meet our Host Becky, but she was very friendly, responsive, and helpful and I felt like a special guest due to all the thoughtfulness and peace that this special place provided.
On the way home we just talked about how much we loved it and didn’t want to leave.
Becky, thank you for a lovely stay and we’re already figuring out when we can come back.

Becky was such a great host!! She was very responsive over text to any questions or needs we had. She even let us borrow an umbrella because it rained unexpectedly!! Really one of the best hosts I’ve experienced and would come back again!

We loved our stay at The Merlot Cabin. The place was super clean and so cute. Bed was so comfortable we joked that we wanted to take the pillows home. My favorite part was the pool. It was so nice to go for a dip with that beautiful view in the background. Overall a very comfortable and relaxing stay. Would highly recommend the place! Only thing is you have to climb up a ladder to get to the bed. (It’s big and sturdy don’t worry) It was easy for us, but made me think that if you have limited mobility or trouble climbing this may not be the place for you. But for us it felt like we were sleeping in a treehouse! So fun!

Perfect oasis. The pool and views were amazing. The RV had plenty of space for 2 people and the AC was perfect for a hot day. We spent most of the morning in the cabana and then easily walked to wine tasting. Becky and Eric were super responsive and friendly. Highly recommend!

Absolutely stunning view. Pool was warm and inviting. Merlot Cabin peaceful and cozy. Becky (host) was wonderful and welcoming. Around but never seen, very private. LOVED LOVED LOVED the space and location. Cutest town would absolutely stay again. Oh and let's bot forget the short walk to the winery. Heavenly!

We really had an amazing time in Becky's cabin. Just enough space to get that much closer to your favorite person. She accommodated us in every way possible. We were given a list of restaurants (upon arrival via email) in the area to choose from for breakfast and dinner which was sooo helpful! AND THE POOL!!! I loved it so much. I will def be back.

The Merlot mini-cabin was perfect for a private getaway. The property was beautiful with a picnic table and pool/cabana with a view. Perfect to sit in the shade with a slight breeze. The mini-cabin was clean and comfortable. A lot of thought was put into the details. There was a mini fridge w/freezer, coffeemaker, kitchen utensils, toiletries, towels, games, tv (w/Roku to watch Netflix etc) and A/C and heater if needed (opening the windows with the 80 degree weather was pleasant). The loft bed and pillows were also very comfortable with fans to circulate the air. Becky (the owner) was easy to reach for any questions and even provided tips for local eats and neighborhood events. She was the perfect host and we look fwd to visiting again.

We had such a relaxing getaway here! The views from the pool were stunning, and the camper and outdoor area were clean and well kept. The winery was only a few steps away and was such a fun excursion! It was a great way to unwind for a short weekend.

This site is awesome. The cabin is super cute and clean. Having the bed upstairs is fun. It's cozy and romantic. The pool is great. Relaxing floating looking out over an infinity view. It doesn't get any better than that. Winery is right down a short path. Tons of hiking right down the street. Quick 5 min drive into town for bars and restaurants.
100% recommend going and plan on returning in the future. If you're a guy reading this, take your woman on a romantic getaway here. She will absolutely LOVE it. Or any person reading... you're significant other will love it. Glamping at its finest

We had a lovely stay at the "Sangria La". The evenings were very peaceful sitting out by the pool overlooking the valley. We took a day trip to Julian and had a great time in the area. The town of Ramona is just up the road with numerous restaurants and stores. This area is an antique lovers paradise.

Super cute spot with a great view! We loved the area and were able to hike through the winery and the trails straight from the cabin. The bed was super comfy and Becky provided so many utensils and supplies. Great weather for the pool too, we had a great time!

We had a great stay at the tiny cabin! It was very comfortable and the views were amazing! It was a super relaxing getaway for myself and my husband. I highly recommend walking on the little trail to the Turtle Rock Vineyard for a glass of sangria. Don’t forget to bring your propane tank. You need it for the grill AND fire pit, which we didn’t realize. The little kitchen had a coffee maker, mini fridge with creamer, condiments, & coffee. The TV worked well and the Wi-Fi worked, but was a little slow. Becky was easy to get in touch with for questions. If you are looking for a relaxing weekend away, I highly recommend this property.
