We invite you to Quail Rock Retreat! Resting almost a mile high in the high desert with a constant breeze you will instantly unwind. With feathered visitors daily like hummingbirds , Quail, hawks, road runners, ravens, owls and other species of birds along with furry four legged visitors like rabbits, jack rabbits and others coming to drink from our water hole. Our mature gardens wrap around the house & courtyard patio sports mature flowers & plants indigenous of the area. You will relax watching the amazing & Illuminating stars in the dark sky and totally quiet and private surroundings. The outdoor hot tub and gas fire-pit add to the ambience and memorial oasis experience. Inside you will find a wood fireplace with plenary of wood and miles of beautiful views of Pipes canyon, mountains and rocks in every direction. The kitchen also sports beautiful views out the large picture window. A Viking stove and just enough cook ware to prepare your meals as you like and also an outdoor gas BBQ. There is a bedroom inside with a swamp cooler and another bedroom in a free standing studio steps away with a large TV with access to WIFi channels. Both bedrooms have very comfortable queen size beds. There are 2 couches In the living room that turn into 2 twin size beds with plenty of bedding. Sleeping a total of 6. We have high speed Internet so why leave... Oh yes to hike. Plenty of day hikes out from our door in every direction. People say “Our property & surroundings are more like Joshua Tree National Park than the Park is”. Looking forward to hosting you and sharing our little utopia.! Megan & Phil

Quail Rock Retreat Boulders Hot Tub

Had a great stay! Boulders behind the house are quite impressive. Saw a coyote drinking from the little pond within moments of arriving. The house is well laid out for views and animal watching and everything is very thoughtfully placed.

Unforgettable

The house is remote but the sandy road is accessible by any car. The interior is highly stylish as well as practicable and very comfortable. The property is surrounded by stunning desert views, glorious sunsets, stars, typical rocks, fauna and flora. We couldn't have hoped for a better place to stay in Joshua Tree. Everything was perfect—unforgettable experience. Thanks so much Megan for sharing!
