Ideal for family reunions, group retreats and relaxing private getaways, we offer sleeping accommodations for up to 30 people and room for many more to camp, gather and celebrate. Commune with nature at Pine Grove Cobb Resort, nestled in 30 acres of the Northern California Mayacamas Mountain Range. Take a walk through the property, cool off in the year-round Cobb Creek or take a dip in the Mountain Spring water, non-chlorinated pool. Get ready to enjoy wood fired pizza and other delectable treats from our Cob Pizza Oven which is the perfect spot to enjoy a cozy evening with family and friends. The property also offers a large chlorinated swimming pool with diving board, water slide and kiddy pools. In summer season a poolside grill serves up yummy food. We have cabins, glamping and group tent camping available - as well as our Sanctuary Treehouse, a Hipcamp favorite.

Nominated by our wonderful Hipcamp guests as Best Treehouse in the U.S. to visit in 2022.  Tucked away above the banks of Kelsey Creek is The Sanctuary Treehouse, an idyllic nature getaway. Built mainly from California Redwood, this accommodation boasts clean lines, square corners and rustic feel. It features one bedroom, a large screened-in porch and outdoor deck. You may awaken to the sweet sounds of the creek below and an abundance of birds above This is an upscale camping experience. There’s no electricity in the treehouse, but we offer a portable electric charger and plenty of warm LED lights at your disposal. This peaceful getaway features a queen size bed and comfortable linens.  Enjoy the morning sun or dark night sky from the outdoor porch.  You’ll feel you’re in your own private island, as you descend the walkway to a secluded, enchanting creek beach, with large mossy rocks perfect for sitting, snuggling, or yoga. Dip your toes in the water and enjoy the sounds and sights of this serene and sacred space. The treehouse is built 20 feet in the air and supported by 2 magnificent Douglas Fir trees. It’s our most recommended anniversary and honeymoon cabin, thanks in part to its off-set location and excellent stargazing from the outdoor deck. It’s the ultimate accommodation for anyone wanting to experience nature in comfort and privacy. - The Sanctuary Treehouse is our most secluded accommodation. - This one-bedroom cabin is 190 sq. ft. - Standard occupancy is two guests. - Take the time to unwind and disconnect. Cell phone service is pretty good. Wifi is available in the main campground area and is not available in the treehouse. - Guests staying in The Sanctuary Treehouse are provided with an electric charger. - The shower & bathroom (newly remodeled in 2022) are located in the main camping area, a 3 minute walk away.  - *Pets allowed in the treehouse.  When booking, select for an extra guest to accommodate for pet fee. - We can't predict the weather, so please note that in non-summer months, it could be wet, cold or windy. Big Leaf Gorgeous Creekside Cabin
The cabin is such a cozy place. More than enough space for a couple to stay. My wife and I loved the place. Have to mention the whole camp community is quiet and beautiful, very friendly to dog. Our dog had a wonderful time there.

We loved the group camp at Pine Grove. The bathrooms and showers were close by and well kept, the pool and creek were great for cooling off and keeping the kiddos busy. We definitely will be back.

Magical treehouse w/ our chihuahuas
The Sanctuary Treehouse
What a magical place for my husband and I to celebrate my birthday and Labor Day weekend. We are already making plans to return! Definitely recommend! We loved that we were assigned our own newly renovated bathroom where we could store our belongings/toiletries since it is a bit of a walk. Word of warning, if you’re someone that goes pee in the middle of the night, using the great outdoors is something you will have to do if you don’t feel like walking the five minutes through the dark woods to go down to the main campground. In the evening/night there’s total privacy to do so. The creek was amazing and refreshing. I’m 5’7 and at certain points, the water came up to my thighs. We were impressed since we thought it was going to be a little stream. The ambient noise of the coursing creek was my favorite thing. We enjoyed the spring fed pool and we enjoyed being able to take a shower every night. We made pizzas in the pizza oven that turned out great thanks to Joe’s helpful tips. Joe was great, he gave us a basic tour showing us the bathrooms/where to get potable water, and where to park. He allowed us to explore the nuances of the campground on our own, while staying available and responsive. I might leave a second review just for helpful tips since that’s what we were looking for when we were booking this place! Thanks Joe and see you next time! :) -M&W

Big Leaf Gorgeous Creekside Cabin
Married couple, 5 yr old LOVED this place, adorable cabin, loved the back patio with the awesome outdoor shower. The birds in the morning and the sound of the rushing stream was wonderful, Joe was so friendly and supplied us with charcoal and eggs! As the previous comment mentioned, there are homes and other cabins - but you still feel like you have your own space in this place. I thought it was very clean for being in the middle of the woods and I would love to come back! (:

Furnished Glamping tent
We stayed for 2 nights in a tent — and it was amazing! The tent itself is super cozy and well-designed: stylish furniture, beautiful decor, and everything you might need — a small fridge, kettle, mugs, coffee, sugar. Very thoughtful! The beds were comfortable, the linens were clean — I slept like at home. There’s also a fan for hot days and a heater for chilly nights. The deck has comfy chairs to relax in. The pools were clean, the water was great, and there were plenty of floaties for both kids and adults. There’s a small café on-site where you can grab a bite, some water, or ice cream (prices aren’t the cheapest, but it’s great to have it nearby). The host greeted us, showed us around, and explained everything. We had our own private shower and toilet — everything was clean, nicely designed, and towels were provided (more than enough!). The property is large and well-maintained. There’s a pizza oven on-site, which was a real highlight — we even learned how to make pizza in it! The only downsides: there’s a road nearby and you can hear cars passing by (not too loud, but noticeable). Also, there are cabins on both sides of the tent — they were empty during our stay, but if they were occupied, it would feel a bit too close for my comfort. Overall, it’s a great, peaceful, and stylish place to stay. We really enjoyed it!

Big Leaf Gorgeous Creekside Cabin
Joe, the host, was very kind and accommodating. He made the check in process very easy. The cabin was super clean and comfortable. It had everything we needed. That said, we wouldn't return. The cabin is within an area with other cabins (homes?), many of which are occupied by permanent residents. There are random items/junk throughout the property, and sadly along the creek. There didn't appear to be an area for a campfire and there definitely wasn't a camping vibe (no other campers around, no fire pits, mostly just permanent residents inside with barking dogs). It was more of an Airbnb within an outdoorsy mobile home park than a cabin in the woods. The cabin next to us was covered in tarps and red caution tape, with a windowless white van parked in front of it. I think it could have been a comfortable place to stay had we been more aware of what the environment was really like. We were expecting a cabin in the woods, and that's not really what it was. We ended up leaving early as we thought we'd be more comfortable back at home.

Big Leaf Gorgeous Creekside Cabin
This is our second time (this summer!) staying at Big Leaf Creek side cabin with Joe. Both times, the cabin was incredibly well stocked: think toys for the kids, coffee, olive oil and fresh eggs! The bed and bedding were comfortable and the room gets pretty dark to ensure a great nights sleep. The property sits creekside from fresh run-off and has two swimming pools available. The food offered poolside was great! High points for having great lumpia and my son loved the mini corndogs. The only thing I would change is heating the swimming pool. There is a fresh water pool that is freezing and the pool is similar in temp. Even on a 90* day, it was hard to be in the pool for more than a few moments.

Furnished Glamping tent
I love the glamping tent set up and the ambiance. My family and I had a peaceful but enjoyable stay. My kids loved the pool. Very relaxing place, the bathroom is modernized and clean. Sir Joe was so nice to us. Will definitely recommend the place. Can I just add there's also a nearby gas station and grocery store. 💓

The Sanctuary Treehouse
A truly private sanctuary tree house just like the title alludes too. A private creek beach perfect for chilling and keeping cool with or without furry friends. Public pool w/ good food at the grill. Tree house was not too hot even at a high of 105 during my stay.

Forest Tent Camping
The pool is rented to day time users. Full of children during the weekend. We did not expect this and would not have booked it had we known. THe pool itself was large and water was very good. You cannot hike along the creek unless you are in the creek. THere is no place to hike along side of it. THe group camp site is amongst a bunch of private homes and is therefore NOT private.

The tree house is situated at the northern most edge of the property, over a creek that lulls you to sleep at night. Good use of no -electric lighting inside. Comfortable bedding.

The treehouse was such a lovely place to stay, you could hear the creek running and open it up to have the breeze blow through. The bathrooms were about a five minute walk away, but you get your own private bathroom complete with a shower and towels.

Beech Cottage Creekside Cabin
This was the perfect cabin! The balcony right next to the little creek was so so nice. The cabin was well stocked, the beds were comfortable. The grounds are nice, with a community fire pit and pool. Great little getaway. We'll be back for sure!

The Sanctuary Treehouse
This place is really special. Falling asleep to the sound of the river, in a cozy cabin high in a tree, far away from other people — it's a real treat. Joe is an unbelievably responsive host — even came down to the river and rescued us when we took the wrong path and needed a different way back. Highly recommend.

Location was good for our group mostly traveling from the Sacramento area (2 hrs) especially with the fall colors. It’s a 30 min drive from Wright Peak which is a beautiful hike. Amenities at the resort were great - bathrooms and showers were clean; the outdoor pizza oven was awesome; easily accessible spigot with drinking water; free wifi; and best of all, Joe provided free firewood the whole weekend (really generous of him to do that). The only cons were the HipCamp pictures make it seem like the open tent camping spots are in a separate area from the residential homes and cabins in the resort when in reality you can pitch your tent anywhere there is an open spot but you’re among the cabins and trailers of other residents, so your group doesn’t have total privacy and you do hear traffic from the main road which was pretty busy both nights we were there. . It also would have been helpful if Joe provided a short tour upon arrival of where everything is located in the resort and how the pizza oven works, etc. I had to text several times to ask questions and he would come over. Would have been better to provide a little tour at first and make sure we knew where everything was. Overall, a nice location with great amenities.

Joe is an amazing host and the camp grounds are amazing!! Lots of space to spread out, pool is available during the right seasons, there's a creek that runs through the property. It's great for groups and families. One of the best gems I've ever camped at.

The tree house is well secluded while still close to the bathroom (private for your stay). Everything was clean, cosy and even though the pool was cold, it was warm enough to get a quick jump in and out. You can eat on site (good and healthy food) and there's a fire wiid oven that you can use with tones of wood on aite to use! Still close enough from SF for a short weekend trip. We stayed there with our 5 years old. We were snugged in one bed but it was the plan of our adventure. Our son almost cried when we told him we had to leave! The highlight was the river beneath the treehouse, with lots of wild blackberries that we made a pie with the wood pizza oven. A great adventure for the whole family

The little treehouse was adorable! The creek is a nice little spot under the house and feels pretty private. There isn’t much to do in the area so it was a great way to just sleep in, relax, and wander about

The Sanctuary Treehouse
Great host! We arrived after dusk and had a hard time finding the location, but our host came out to find us and guided us to the right direction. The treehouse is not too big and has plenty of space for everything. At night, there is no actual light other than electric candles and small click lights, so be prepared to be mostly in dark. They do have a flashlight that works well however. The private restroom is really convenient. Great restaurants nearby as well!

Really enjoyed our experience here. Took three kids (10,5,1) camping solo for our last trip of the summer. We stayed in the glamping tent. This place was great, friendly people, the pools were great for all different ages. I loved the natural spring pool and the cold plunge effects. It’s was fairly quiet and unpretentious. We would definitely recommend to friends. The private bathroom option with code was great. Thanks again for having us!

We have a group of five families, and had the best time at the group site! The bathrooms were so nice and clean. There was a large washing station stocked with brushes and soap. Made it all so easy! The pool was so much fun, the kids spent hours hanging out, swimming, getting treats from a very yummy snack bar. We drove to clear lake state park for stand up paddle boarding, only 25 minute drive. We will be back!
