Ocean Forest is a Nature Lover’s Retreat on the Mendocino Coast. Magical and pristine Old Growth Redwood groves overlook a beautiful Ocean view. The Retreat has 4 unique glamping cabins. The Garden and Honeybear Cabins have French doors with beautiful old growth forest views and glass-door wood-stoves. The Adobe Earth Cabin is surrounded by a covered Gathering Area with Earthen benches, and a firebrick pizza oven and simple outdoor kitchen. The Redwood Tree Cabin has French doors, a loft and a redwood deck. All cabins have comfortable memory foam queen beds, cozy heaters, private outdoor fire pits, plenty of forest or ocean view seating, hammocks and gathering spaces. The land has direct access to hiking trailheads leading into miles of redwood forest. Ocean view seating and gathering area (shared space.) Just a 5 minute drive to the coastal trails in Mackerricher State Park, famous Glass beach, Ten Mile Beach and River, The Dunes Nature Reserve, and much more. Ocean Forest is Off-the-Grid with simple lighting in the cabins and outdoor solar string lights. The Cabin have private outdoor hot showers in the redwoods. The Earth Cabin has an outdoor bathtub. Outhouse Eco-composting toilets. Tent sites available to book along with all the cabins for extra guests. Please note that the cabins are 10x12 and each comfortably sleep 2 people ( and perhaps small children.) For additional guests we recommend brining a tent. Please note that the Earth Cabin and Redwood TreeCabin are close to each other and share a composting toilet in a common location. There's privacy fencing in-between and plenty of private outdoor space as well. The Garden and Honeybear cabins are far apart . Adventurous nature activities available just minutes away! Including: beach horseback riding, guided ocean and river kayaking, famous Skunk train and Rail bike rides through the redwoods and more. Or enjoy hiking, mushroom picking, and soaking in the unique magic of rare old growth redwoods right on the property. Close to the amenities charming Fort Bragg and Mendocino have to offer including delicious restaurants ( seafood at the harbor) yoga studios, botanical gardens, art galleries and more. The Redwood TreeCabin
We loved our tiny house at Ocean Forest! We stayed in the Redwood Cabin and enjoyed our experience greatly. Listening to the ocean all night and sleeping next to a redwood tree was exactly what we were looking for in a Northern Cali adventure.

Honeybear Cabin at Ocean Forest
What a wonderful place! We enjoyed the campfire and seeing the stars at night. I also loved the outdoor shower, and the accommodations were cozy. Elizabeth was helpful during our stay and Ben & Grace helped answer my questions. Definitely don't miss out on this opportunity next time you are in the Mendocino/Ft Bragg area :)

The Redwood TreeCabin
Loved our stay at the Redwood Tree cabin. Was easily accessible with all the amenities needed. Loved our own private shower and sink so we didn't necessarily have to share with our neighbor like we thought. Nights were peaceful and quiet. Very close to town and the beach! Can't wait to come back again one day.

Honeybear Cabin at Ocean Forest
Unique glamping experience
I love, love, love this glamping site. The thought and creativity put into each little cabin area was fantastic. The sites are a little close to each other but they we never felt crowded. The shower and compost toilet set up where top notch and showering while looking into the forest view was amazing and the placing was perfect no one could see you if chose to keep curtains open. Directions were flawless, we were greeted on arrival by a friend who stays on property, she showed us how to use shower and bathroom as well as how to like wood burning stove and let us be after that. Honey bear cabin was adorable and lighting and generator charging station for light was provided. Definitely one of my favorite Hipcamp’s to date. Kudos to Ben and Grace you’ve done an excellent job of creating an off grid totally unique glamping experience!!
