Decent spot, not our favorite
Overall we didn’t have a bad experience, the neighborhood felt safe and quiet and it was a block from the beach so we could hear the ocean waves at night. However, we really think the site could be improved if there was a bathroom available to use in the nearby house, or even a portapotty. The closest place with a public bathroom is a gas station about 5 blocks away, and while the gas station had a very nice attendant and clean bathroom, if you are someone who needs to pee in the night make sure your camper van has its own toilet.
There was also another car parked in the camping site one of the nights we were there, and we didn’t hear any communication about it from the host. We had to park part way into the neighbor’s driveway and we’re worried we might get a ticket or towed unexpectedly.
We were told there was an extension cord available for electrical hook ups, however, it was only 15 amps. Since many camper vans need 30 or 50 amps you should note that you won’t have an electrical hookup at this location. We were able to make due since we had solar on the top of our van, but this is just something to note that wasn’t immediately apparent from this listing.
Also, this listing is about 35 minutes from San Francisco WITHOUT traffic, so if your goal is to explore the city it is a bit of a hike.
I think this listing could just be a bit more transparent and have slightly better communication and offer a bathroom and then I would be happy to recommend it to others.
