Wake up to the sweet sounds of birdsong and a running creek in the midst of a unique old-growth forest of madrones, black oaks and incense cedars that soar hundreds of feet high into the sky. You will be the ONLY campers on our land which has a sacred waterfall that runs year round over beautiful smooth boulders and borders Native American Nisenan tribal land as well as Champion Mine State Park.
Surrounded by forest, you are also only a mile’s walk/bike ride into town where you can take advantage of Nevada City’s incredible coffee/cafes, farm to table restaurants, pizzerias, breweries, wineries and fabulous shops...as well as its local theatre, music, art galleries and year-round festivals. Or don't go anywhere and instead explore the extensive watershed on and around our land where you can mediate in the cave behind our waterfall, splash in the creek, or
pan for gold!
Our land is also connected to one of the most beautiful hiking trail systems in the county that take you the famous suspension bridge over Deer Creek, a place of stunning beauty (and a very cool swimming/hangout spot for kids/families), as well as a short drive from fabulous swimming spots on the Yuba River, parks, and museums that reflect the county's rich Gold Rush history.
Please note that the main camping spot is close to/visible from the road which is usually quiet and has very little traffic. There are other more secluded camping spots on the land deeper into the woods but they offer a smaller area/tighter squeeze.
