Mystic Forest is a small, family-run campground between Klamath, CA, and Crescent City. We have 50 acres of beautiful forest sprinkled with redwood trees. We have restrooms, showers, a game room, a mini golf course, horseshoes, and a half-mile trail. We are pet-friendly. At the office you can find some grocery and redwoods souvenirs. Our laundry facility will be closed indefinitely for repairs starting on August 10th.

You're welcome to pitch your tent but just realize that it's the rainy season and you may get poured on. Also, the site may get a bit muddy. But your reward for braving the elements is that you will have the Redwood Parks to yourselves! If you don't mind the rain, it's beautiful around here during the off season. The tent season officially starts May 15th.) Nice decent size site at the entrance of the forest. You have access to the campground amenities such as restrooms, showers, game room, mini golf, horseshoes and the half-mile trail.

Beautiful, flat, surrounded by trees tent site. Tent site #8 has a huge hollow redwood tree, you can walk through it. Hot showers are included. We have a game room (billiards, ping pong, foosball), a mini golf, horseshoes and a half-mile trail in the forest. We are pet-friendly, though no wood scavenging. 4 or 6 person tent will fit but bigger tent won't fit because of the roots. If you have a bigger tent, you may want to take a look at sites #7, 12, 15, 16, 21 or 22. This site is right next to #10, so if you are coming with another family or have a bigger group please ask us if #10 is available.

Little, cozy site in the forest. Park right at the site. There is a fire pit, a picnic table and beautiful trees all around, including redwoods. If you have a regular size tent you'll be fine but if you have a bigger tent, you should look at sites #7, 12, 15, 16, 21 or 22. Tent site #11 is adjacent to tent site #13, something to keep in mind if you are traveling with another family or a bigger group. This site is a little cheaper than the other ones because it is smaller.

This is a cozy, smaller size tent site, under some redwood trees. The picnic table is on one end and you can pitch your tent on the other side of the site. Parking is right there at the site. Not fully secluded but does have some bushes here and there. If you are coming with another family, tent site #5 is adjacent to #9 and #13.

You have access to all amenities the campground has to offer. The site is suitable for tent camping only, not the best pick for van camping simply because of the way the site is laid out. If you want to van or car camp, then #7, 12, 15, 16 may be better picks :-)

The site has some trees and bushes surrounding it but is not fully secluded. 19B is a no-campfire site (we only have 2 sites that are no-campfire sites, this one and tent site #16B, all other sites you can make a campfire at unless we have a ban). Standard 4-person tents will fit in there. There is a picnic table. You can park right at the site. This site is cheaper because it's a no-campfire site and it is small.

She’s an oldie but goodie, she is clean and freshly painted on the inside. Birdie is a 1996 motorhome. She has a full bathroom and a small but fully stocked kitchen with a gas-burner stove top, microwave and small gas oven. Birdie has central A/C, electrical outlets, a TV, and WiFi. She features a queen sized bed in the private back bedroom. The sofa converts to a full-sized bed and the dinette becomes another twin-sized bed. Birdie comfortably sleeps four adults or two adults and three children. All linens, sheets and towels, plus blankets are provided. If you are looking for something bigger, take a look at the Puma which is the other RV we have for rent.

Puma is a 2-bedroom, 6-person RV that we rent out for onsite lodging. A/C, heat, restroom with a shower, fully stocked kitchen with stove and oven, picnic table and fire pit. All linens, sheets and towels, plus blankets are provided. The first bedroom has a queen size bed and the second bedroom has 2 bunk beds plus a pull-out sofa (2 adults + 2 kids or 4 kids could sleep in that room). Total, the Puma could comfortably have 4 adults plus 2-3 kids or 2 adults and 5 kids. 5 adults wouldn't be comfortable. Currently located in a beautiful, secluded spot in the forest. It is next to Birdie The RV, our second RV for rent, something to keep in mind if you are traveling with another family or a bigger group.

Pet-free RV. This is a little 17-foot RV with a queen size bed and 2 bunk beds. Important to note that this is a pet-free RV. It's the only pet-free accommodation we have and we're doing this because some people are very allergic to pets. There's a fire pit and a picnic table, plus you have access to the rest of the amenities the campground has to offer: playground, mini golf, game room, trail and of course, the beautiful forest. The Black Bear Cabin

Cute tiny cabin (400 sqf) in a beautiful spot in the forest. 2 bedrooms. The first bedroom has a queen size bed and the other one has a bunk bed (twin at the top and full at the bottom). Private deck, a fire pit, fully stocked kitchen, A/C, full bathroom, beds are made and you have towels/soap/shampoo. Parking is right next to the cabin.

The campground was amazing! It was just as beautiful as the pictures and had great amenities. The showers and game room were perfect. We didn't spend much time at the campground itself because there were so many beautiful hikes and things to see around the area. I would definitely recommend staying here!

The campground was very secluded while still being in a very convenient location (laundry and trash very close by!). You’re right next to a trail and the nature views were gorgeous! Just remember to bring your bug spray, lol!

We loved our stay here!! The land is absolutely gorgeous, being right in the Redwoods and literally around the corner from the Trees of Mystery. The hosts, Patrick and Maya, were the sweetest humans and so much fun to chat with! They have a stocked camp store, a game room with tons of books, and ping pong and such, and a ton of cool Redwood trees and tree stumps scattered throughout the camp. Our tent site, #16, was just inside the forest but felt very private on the other side of the trees from the RVs. We are really looking forward to paying them another visit!

Good Ole Birdie the RV
Patrick and Maya are so great! Check in was super smooth and they even upgraded us to a better RV cause of some technical difficulties. The campground was private, cute, and nicely maintained. If we come back around to the area we would definitely camp there again. Also, the hiking trails are well kept and they had Starlink for speedy WiFi.

Good Ole Birdie the RV
This little camper checks all the boxes: Quiet, private, clean, solid roof to keep you dry and warm, SUPER comfy bed, and the softest sheets. If you want the campground experience without the camping then look no further. Birdie is low frills, but has everything you need. Yes, you can hear the 101 during the day, but it's pretty much dead silent at night (the campground has electric hook-ups so you won't hear generators running). It's beautiful, there's a redwood to greet you in the morning...what more could you want!

Mystic campground was wonderful! The camp hosts are extremely friendly and helpful. The campground was quiet and the bathrooms were really clean. The dishwashing station was heaven. If we come back to this area we will definitely stay here again!

A great campground! Close to some amazing redwood experiences and down the street from the beach. The hosts are extremely friendly and made sure I was taken care of. The campground itself is small but I felt I had plenty of privacy.

Patrick is such a warm and welcoming camp host, and the property is absolutely lovely. If you're looking for a private tent site with great tree coverage, #22 is it. We'll be recommending Mystic Forest to all of our friends visiting the Redwoods, and hope to be back ourselves one day :)

We had an awesome time camping here! The tent sites were beautiful and private, and there were redwood trees really close by! Patrick and his wife have so many lovely amenities available, and they are a very kind couple. We were so blessed by the care they put into this campground. Highly recommend!

Such a great location for exploring the redwoods! In the center of all of the best hikes in the park and a gorgeous beach for sunsets. The site was great, felt private with all of the trees and an easy walk to the bathrooms. Having WiFi at the main area was fantastic! Hosts were super welcoming on check in and have a great little shop with an espresso bar.

Dude. Patrick and Maia have such a cool thing here. We tent camped in one of their Hipcamp tent site and it was lovely. Having access to the clean showers, dish washing station, and Patrick’s free organic lattes in the morning was so awesome on our road trip up the coast. Hopefully we’ll be back some day

This site was a great place to set up camp to go explore the Redwoods. First off, the family that host this place are so friendly and helpful. I found them just delightful. Right across the street is a little restaurant/convenience store that I got an excellent burger, beer, and biscuits and gravy the next morning. Trees of Mystery is a few minutes away, and then there are amazing Redwood trails about 30-40 minutes away North or South. The camp had WiFi, hot showers, clean bathrooms, and a cool trail loop on the property. Some people in camp were a little noisy, but everyone was friendly, and by about 10:30 it did get nice and quiet. It was a cool place to camp in my opinion. It reminded me of camping with my family when I was a kid. Nothing fancy, but everything you need. I would stay here again without hesitation and recommend it to anyone looking for a site with seeing the Redwoods in mind.
