Musick Creek Falls by Shaver Lake

My friend and I had such a great getaway to Shandie’s land. It is really picturesque and peaceful, and the Midway Lookout was great. We loved that it was so close to the falls but not too close to be super loud. We spent the day dipping our feet in the pool under the upper falls, cooked outside a ton. The availability of firewood was a game changer and super appreciated. The outhouse was so charming and genuinely clean and fresh. Shandie was also around to show us how to get to some of the other falls. I would definitely be thrilled to come back and I’d stay at the same ground.

We loved our time camping at Musick Creek Falls! Everything was gorgeous, very private campsite and shandie even upgraded us to their premier site that ended up being available. Shandie was easily reachable throughout our stay and made sure that all of our needs were met. We even forgot some supplies which they had readily available for us to borrow! Will definitely be back.!

Scenic, Private, and Relaxing

I had an incredible stay at Musick Creek Falls by Shaver Lake for my birthday weekend, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The campsite itself is something special—the waterfall right next to us was absolutely stunning and made the entire stay feel peaceful and unique. Waking up to that sound and having such a beautiful, private setting was exactly what we were hoping for. The views around the campground are amazing, and you can tell a lot of thought has gone into maintaining both the natural beauty and the comfort of the space. Everything felt clean, well cared for, and thoughtfully set up, which made it easy to just relax and enjoy the weekend. What really made the trip stand out, though, was the host. They truly went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time. From being responsive to making sure everything was perfect for our stay, their hospitality made a big difference and didn’t go unnoticed. If you’re looking for a private, scenic getaway with a unique natural feature like a waterfall right at your site, this place is hard to beat. I’d absolutely come back again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable camping experience.

An amazing place

My daughter wanted to go camping for spring break and I wanted to take her up to where I used to go camping as a kid. I am so grateful that we found Musick Creek Falls, this place is magical. It is fairly easy to find thanks to the great directions and the signage at the site. The entire campground is laid out really well with the spring and toilet easily accessible. The water falls and the pools are really great. My wife was a bit worried about the sound, but it wasn't too loud and acted like a nice white noise. Our dogs had a blast exploring and jumping in the water. The views of the valley and the night sky are fantastic. This place really made for a special experience for my daughter and our family, this is what helps encourage her to want to camp more. While we didn't have the pleasure of meeting the hosts, they did call to check in with us which was great. We will certainly keep this on our short list of favorite camps to come back to.

I stayed at the Upper Falls campsite with my dog. I was the only camper there that night, so I explored the other campsites, and all of them are really nice. I think my favorites might have been the lower falls site and the one right below upper falls. Shandie was very approachable, shared local info, and even offered for me to switch to a different campsite if I wanted, since all were available, but I was fine staying at Upper Falls and it is a great site also.

This spot near Shaver Lake was an absolute vibe. The sound of the waterfall nearby made the whole place feel peaceful and secluded, and it’s the kind of campsite where you can really disconnect and just enjoy nature. The area was clean, easy to access, and had great scenery all around. I stayed during cooler weather, but I can already tell this place would be incredible in the summertime when everything is greener and the water is flowing strong. It feels like the perfect spot to relax, explore, and spend time outdoors. Definitely a place I’d return to again. Huge thanks to the host for sharing such a beautiful location.

Beautiful but not so private

I would like to thank Shandie for allowing us to stay over the Valentines weekend. Even though it was overcast and cold the bottomless firewood helped out a lot. The area is nice and the falls are beautiful. Finding the place was a little confusing once we turned off of the main road as there are very few signs directing you. The Musick Cove campsite sits at the bottom of the waterfall. This was our spot for the weekend and was told that we probably had the place to ourselves. One of the things that I noticed that has not been mentioned in any reviews is how loud the falls are. I can only imagine how it will be in the late spring to early summer when the snow melts. At first it was nice but then you quickly realize that you are shouting at each other to hold a conversation. Again I know it’s a waterfall and expected some noise but it can be overwhelming for some that may have misophonia or other hearing impairments. The other thing that bothered me was that the campsite above is “upper falls” was soon occupied. They could look down on us and see our every move. With such a premium price tag, one would expect a lot more privacy. Come summer time I would imagine that site would be overrun with other campers or hikers coming in to get a better view. We boondock 99% of the time so the thought of someone watching us bothers us. If you are accustomed to campgrounds then this may not be an issue for you. Overall it was a nice trip and great host. They also delivered firewood.

We had such an incredible experience staying here. The property is absolutely beautiful — peaceful, scenic, and truly the perfect place to disconnect and relax. The views alone made the stay unforgettable, and you can really feel how special and well-cared-for the space is. Shandie was an amazing host from start to finish. She was kind, welcoming, and genuinely thoughtful, even checking in and offering help if anyone needed anything. Her generosity and hospitality made us feel comfortable and appreciated, and it meant so much to be able to stay somewhere so serene and inviting. This was exactly the kind of peaceful escape we were hoping for, and we’re so grateful for the opportunity to experience it. I would absolutely recommend this spot to anyone looking for a beautiful, quiet place to relax and recharge. We would love to come back again someday. This was a magical place to spend the weekend. We went in the cold and had the place all to ourselves! The property is amazing with all the waterfalls. So peaceful and the owners were so sweet and in good communication the whole trip! We are definitely coming back!!

Camping by the Falls

This land is so very well loved by Shandie. It really is a hidden world from everything else. Not only was Shandie a wonderful host but her land is truly a gift to the heart. The road to the property is mostly paved and ends with gravel with some larger humps and bumps. But was plenty doable with my boat of a sedan with its questionable clearance. Just take it slow for the more nervous of drivers. Musick Cove is smack dab right next to the falls, and even in the late fall, is roaring with life. It's perfectly intimate for two. It's tucked away with plenty of trees and brush for privacy. If you do wander a bit you can see the other sites, one above the falls and Midway Lookout but like I said the brush and trees provide plenty of privacy. It had a charcoal grill and a fire pit for use. I can see maybe two tents fitting in the area but I would say it comfortably fits one much better. Outhouse is not too far from the site and is clean and cared after frequently. Go explore the land! Of course safely and respectfully but so many things to discover just by walking around. So happy to see the lands returning after the Creek Fire. Could not recommend this enough. Will be returning when the snow melts and brings more life to the already beautiful world Shandie and her crew take so much care for.

An amazing view and sleeping there is a dream with the waterfall running all night. Shandie was such an amazing host, my dog ended up getting lost and she did what she could to help me find him even extending my stay another night free of charge. We will 100% be returning.

Wonderful experience

I did camping on Sunday night at Music Creek Falls, and it turned out to be one of the best experiences ever! The place was beautifully maintained — surrounded by nature, peaceful, and had the perfect waterfall right next to my tent spot, which felt so private and special. Even though it was quite cold, my dog and I couldn’t resist playing in the crystal-clear water. The night sky was breathtaking for stargazing — something I’ll never forget. But what truly made this trip special was Shandie, the host. Since we were two females camping, she went above and beyond to make sure we were safe and comfortable. She personally carried firewood for us, provided hot chocolate, offered sleeping bags, and made sure we had everything we needed for a cozy night. I’ve done many camping trips before, but I’ve never felt this safe and cared for. Shandie’s kindness and attention made this camping experience unforgettable.
