Terrapin Tent
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the terrapin tent! Whether you’re a first time camper or an experienced camper, this is the perfect place to stay if you want a chill, low-stress weekend outdoors. We brought the bare minimum from our camping gear (propane stove, jet boiler, cooking utensils, etc.) and felt more than prepared with all the additional amenities already provided at the site for our stay. The tent itself, the bathroom, & the surrounding land was clean & very well kept! You can tell there was a lot of thought put into this campsite. Rudy was great at communicating directions & responded to my questions almost immediately. Highly recommend staying here if you’re in need of some outdoor relaxation & amazing sunset views!

We had a great experience at Moontower Ranch. Elizabeth and Rudy have truly built a great site to experience the desert tranquility with many premium conveniences.
They make it so easy to enjoy camping without having to lug around heavy or bulky items like a tent, air mattresses, stoves, etc. You pretty much just need to pack for a regular hotel stay, add some food to grill and drinks to imbibe, and you are set. Pretty much everything is provided!
Easy, beautiful, relaxing. Moontower Ranch is Hipcamp at it's best!

Great site! The tent and bed are great, with a lot of nice little extra touches. Beautiful outdoor space backing on the desert. Really enjoyed the evening there!

Terrapin Tent
Such an amazing little spot! The host was super friendly and helpful. We stayed the night, went to Joshua Tree National Park during the day then came back to the tent for dinner, s’mores, and stargazing! It was our first time camping and we loved that it was still close enough to town to feel safe but definitely still private and cozy! Would definitely recommend.

Terrapin Tent
We loved our stay here! We had everything we could need and more. Enjoyed napping in the hammock, relaxing by the fire, and dozing in the comfy bed. It was our first time camping in the desert, and it was an amazing experience. Highly recommend.
