Mill Creek Resort felt like a real campground! You had the atmosphere of camping with other people but at the same time, the sites felt private and were all bordered by trees. The lodge, bathrooms, water spigot, and dishwashing station were all amazing!

Campsite was nice and spacious And well groomed. The people were so nice and friendly. Campground was very quiet at night. It was nice to hear the flowing river at night while falling asleep. It’s a great place to camp right outside of Lassen national Park.

Great spot. Beautiful forest setting with cool campsites. I’m a van camper and the site wasn’t super level but close enough.
I enjoyed my stay and I’d definitely go back.

Site 9 - Campsite right outside Lassen NP
Beautiful campground. Bathrooms and showers always clean. People are very respectful of quiet time and staff is great! Mill Creek is right down the hill for those of you who like to bathe in cold water. Lassen is very close by. I would definitely return if I’m driving up in that direction.

I tent camped at site 13 for 3 nights in June and I will definitely return. The campground is well cared for and sites are clearly marked. Loved having flush toilets and shower facilities that cost $1.25 for 7 1/2 minutes which is plenty of time, but you can pay for more time if you’d like. The restrooms were clean, but a bit of a walk from site 13. There are pit toilets that are closer, and smell like…well, pit toilets. They, too, are clean. There is potable water very close. The only drawback of this particular site is that it has the marked trail to Mill Creek right along the side of it, so if you’re looking for a bit of privacy, you might want to pick site 9 or 15. Additionally, a glamping site is right on the other side of the trail. Not a worry if the campers are friendly. The camp hosts are friendly and I was able to have a campfire which was awesome. There’s is also ice available for purchase at the camp lodge. There’s a ton of fishing close and access to the park is superb. Thank you for a wonderful time.

We loved camping at Mill Creek Resort. Campground and facilities we're clean during our weekend stay. Staff was friendly and informative. They even hosted a yoga class in the meadow on Sunday morning which was such a special treat for me. Definitely would go back again. Thank you!

Beautiful area and everything I want out of a great camping spot. Lots of trees, love being close enough to hear the creek. Plenty of trails and things to do around here. This campground really has everything. I cannot wait to come back here again and hopefully stay for longer.

Site 15 - Campsite right outside Lassen NP
I'd rate our camping experience at Mill Creek a 8/10. Overall we had a great time and the campgrounds are well maintained, quiet, and easy to access. The only thing we didn't love was the amount of bugs we encountered since our camp site (#15) was next to a small marshy creek (not mill creek). The main office has wood, ice that you can buy onsite or purchase when you're booking. We loved hanging out by the river with our dog, too! We're planning to book again at some point in the future so we can try the fancy yurts.

Forest camping outside Lassen NP
We really enjoyed our stay at Mill Creek! The location was perfect for accessing the southern part of Lassen National Park - only a 10 to 15 minute drive away. The campground sites are spaced close together so you can hear all your neighbors, but the access to bathrooms and a dish-washing sink with running water was a plus. Also nice that the host had firewood and ice for sale. The camp was understandably busy for a holiday weekend, but we stayed the night after the holiday and almost had the place to ourselves. Would definitely recommend staying here, and we will have to check out the glamping sites for a future visit!

During my visit I got in a car accident, totaled my car and was nearly stranded over a holiday weekend. The staff went above and beyond to help and ensure we got home safe. Great customer service. Thanks to them.

Mill Creek is an amazing spot with a peaceful, safe vibe. The movie in the meadow was so sweet. Guests and staff are friendly and helpful. I'm looking forward to going back and getting a T-Shirt.

Site 5 - Campsite right outside Lassen NP
Very peaceful land for campsite setup with lots of trees. Restrooms were very clean with flush toilets. We had the sweetest tasting water from their potable water faucet. The cost of the campsite was reasonable. It was raining heavily from late afternoon and we didn’t have any sort of large tarp to spend our evening outside the tent so we ended up waiting in the car for a long time. It would have been great if there was some sort of shelter or community kitchen kind of area where people can cook and spend time on the days when it’s raining. Would definitely recommend this campsite on sunny days

Highly recommended! 15-20 min drive away from lassen volcanic national park. Everything you would need is available in the cabin. Very peaceful area.

We had a great two-night stay in the vintage camper van! It rained a lot Saturday night, but the van kept us dry and warm. Very effective space heater! It was stocked with many great amenities like various cookware, a kettle, a French press, etc. We were able to cook some delicious meals in the van. There was no wine opener or hand soap, however. There were multiple sets of sheets and pillowcases, so that felt clean and organized. We didn't get a chance to use the outdoor cooking supplies because of the rain, but that was nice to have! The camper ceiling is a bit low, so if you are taller (6'1 and above), be mindful of your head. The showers take quarters, so plan accordingly if you want to use them. Overall, a cozy stay!

It was one of an experience, cold under pine trees with reachable proximity to the Lassen it is a go to place. It's clean and we had good fire camp with the grill . The rest rooms were clean

The spot was great. We had no problems finding the campsite. The bathroom, showers, and water all worked and were well kept. The drive to lassen national park was fairly quick. Would recommend this site.

We fell in love with our campsite! It was very clean and quiet and our campsite 12 seemed to have the most privacy, mind you I think we were the one tent campers our last 2 nights, probably because we checked in on a Sunday and left Wednesday.
The honor system of the firewood available to us for $6 a bundle and ice for 4 was extremely convenient, as opposed to the cute shop on the side of the highway 10 minutes away that sold bundles for $10.
We had a campfire going every late afternoon into the late evenings to keep us toasty in during the brisk October mountain air. We could hear the flow of Mills Creek right below us as we fell asleep each night under the stars.
We went on a few adventures to include the 25 min drive to Chester to check out the local fishing spot and fill up our gas tank before drive around lake Almador, following the beautiful yet windey drive to go visit the historic hot springs the Lasson National Forest offered us. There's no swimming in these hotsprings and you'll understand why if you visit but that didn't stop us from taking dip (or cold plunge rather) in lake Helena's freezing yet picturesque aquarium waters.
The shower available to us at the camp site was welcomed to get a quick scrub down and warm up in the hot water before preparing some tritip on the open fire with the provided firepit grill.
We will definitely be back! Maybe even to try out one of the yurts they have available to rent.

We loved tent camping at Mill Creek! It was an amazing experience. Bathrooms were clean, fully stocked, and had hot/cold showers. At the lodge you can find fire wood. There were options to pay by cash or by Venmo, if you didn’t have signal they are kind enough to go by an honor system and pay later. They also had quarters for the showers and laundry in case you forgot to bring your own. There are lots of trees for shade and hanging hammocks. Site 12 was very large and a little further from the other sites which gave a little extra privacy. There was a trail near by leading to the creek. Overall loved the place and anyone reading must go to experience!!

Everything was perfect! Pots and pans on site made cooking easy. Shower was amazing! Fire pit took me back to my childhood. It’s hard to find campsites that don’t come with too many rules or annoying neighbors but this had neither. What a nice break from civilization! Thank you!!

As much as I love to leave good reviews, I'm a bit disappointed in this booking. On the listing for my tent campsite, it says that showers are available. When I scoped out the showers during the stay, the doors were locked with a sign saying that the showers were for glampers only. This put a big damper on my stay, but luckily i had body wipes and plenty of water.
The place was clean and had plenty of space between sites. I did find a doggy poop bag on my site next to a tree the morning I left. I was by myself and didn't have a dog with me. Please don't be that person.
Other than that, I'm not sure I'd come back. It's off season, so I'm not sure if things would be different with more campers around.
