This is a spot to crash. It's not glamours, in fact it's just a livestock pen. It was fine for crashing on the way to socal but I would not recommend camping here. If you have a vehicle to sleep in great! The sunset/sunrise view is nice. Basically it's like camping in BLM land but there aren't people shooting guns in the middle of the night and there is a porta potty. I would not pay $50 to sleep here though. I only did it because REI was giving 30 free dollars for hipcamp. There is horse poo(dry) all over. I liked waking up to the roosters!

Camping with cows, horses, chickens
Stacie was very accommodating and kind with our grandson and daughter feeding the animals. Nice having porta potty and the shade of the laser shot.

A good old fashioned dirt lot surrounded by friendly cows and friendlier people. You can watch the hosts putt around on their utility quad hauling hay around to the critters to feed them. A good spot.

Perfecting resting stop
We camped here for the Norcal renfaire just 10 minutes from Casa de Fruta! It was lovely, you could see stars clearly at night and in the morning the lovely landscape!

Stay at the ranch
Stayed here for a night and had a good experience. Host is accommodating and there was a clean porta-potty available. You are listening to the farm animals throughout the stay, so if you like that sort of thing then this is the perfect place.

Nice place for an overnight stay.
Perfect place for an overnight stay! Flat level ground, open space, porta potty is clean and maintained. Adorable farm animals to look at while relaxing for the evening. It’s nothing fancy if your looking for the works campground but exactly as described and perfect for us.

Highly Recommend!
This site was incredible! Off the beaten path as we we’re driving the coast and came inland for the night. We met the host as she was finishing up ranch duties for the night and she was so nice and helpful! I made friends with the mama cows and we saw the horses and chickens. The toilet did the job. We felt very safe for the night and it was nice waking up to the roosters nearby.

A ropin' good time!
We had so much fun here! It was a nice, clear spot for our large tent with plenty of space for our our car, camping table and bike parking. Tbe port-a-potty was clean and well maintained with soap and water to wash at the sink inside too. The farm animals were so sweet and our dog was pretty fascinated watching them. I saw someone else mentioned a calf being born and I'm happy to report that at almost a month old, it's so cute! I'll add pictures to my review. I took quite a few. Stacie gave us some quail eggs, so we cooked those for breakfast and they were delicious. Tbe roping competition was fun to watch as well and all the people who came onsite for the event were really friendly and seemed excited to tell us about the rules and how it all works. Overall we had a great time and recommend the camp to anyone who wants to get out in the country without being too far from civilizationime wineries and restaurants. There's quite a bit to do in the area. So many of the foods we eat every day are grown right in the area so enjoy nature's bounty! Fun time and we would stay there again :)

Fun stopover, beautiful area
Fun stay on a ranch with lots of farm animals. Stacie was very friendly and helpful and even walked out to help us find the way in for our night time arrival. Beautiful surrounding area, plenty of open space for parking, and porta-potty was very clean and stocked with toilet paper, hand sanitizer, and paper towels. Perfect place for our stop on the road home!

It was a nice place to stay, but it seemed to be very expensive to be able to just park a trailer in an open field. It was nice to hear the farm animals throughout the night and to wake up to a rooster in the morning. If you are staying for a night or two, you might as well try to boondock instead of pay for the same amenities you’d find in a Walmart parking lot.

Cattle roping and apricot picking
McGrady Ranch was a great place to stay. Very private lot. We got to see some cattle rope practice. Missed an early morning calf birth, but watched the calf trying to learn to how to stand and walk. Went to the nearby B&R Farm for apricot picking. Stacie was very responsive, and told us about some great hiking trails with California Condor spotting. Had no issues finding the place.
