Set up camp and relax in one of our private manzanita surrounded tent sites. A short three min walk to our cobble beach along the beautiful South Fork America River will keep you cool during this hot summer. Or use our sites as a base camp for the many hiking and biking trails in the area. Taste some local wines at one of the many wineries or grab a growler at a nearby brewery. Propane fire pits are provided for your stay at your camp site, with one tank of propane included for your use... Because what is camping without looking at a fire and roasting marshmallows? Our fire pits sure help add to that *camping feel* but COOKING OVER FIRE PITS (OTHER THAN S'MORES) IS NOT PERMITTED, so please plan to bring your own camp stove or preferred camp-cooking appliances and the required fuel. We look forward to your stay with us! FAQ: What should I bring? For our standard tent or RV sites, the sites include a picnic table and a propane fire pit with propane for heating/ambiance only. You should plan to pack everything you would usually expect to bring with you to a typical Forest Service or State Park campground... For example: propane camp stove or equivalent with your own propane/fuel for cooking, extra tables for your personal camp set-up needs, shade tents or pop-ups, games or camp activities, camp cots/pads/air mattresses, camping bedding, tents, camp chairs, etc. We are happy to answer any question you may have!

Site 6

Our New Favorite Spot

We've been camping in northern California for over 20 years and this is now our favorite spot. We loved how secluded the site was, it was setup so that everyone could enjoy their sites and not be bothered by others guests. Matt was friendly, responsive & the propane fire pit was an added necessity to wrap up the whole camping trip. After all, what's camping if not for roasting marshmallows! Finish it off with your own little private beach, that was the icing on the cake. I almost don't want to leave this review because I don't want others to know about the cool spot we've found, that way it can stay our little secret. You'll see other reviews talk about the clean porta potty and believe it or not, it's so true. If we were to critique anything it'd be just as a note for others. We don't care but could see how others might. There is a bit of poison oak but pay attention & you'll be fine. Site 6 is a bit of a walk from the flush toilets & showers but personally we didn't need them and felt the porta potty was fine, the flush toilets got a lot of usage so they could've used a little wipe down. Our site had a sink & water but they weren't connected, again not a problem for us but could see how it might bug others. Either way, if you don't want the adventure that's ok with us, it means more time for us to book the site because it really was an awesome spot & we can't wait to return.

I love camping on Matt's land! I've camped here twice now and already have my 3rd trip here booked for the end of September. Nice bathrooms, showers, and gas firepits provided, with easy access to the American River.

Site 5

Site 5 is a great and very private site. We had a great time with friends and rafting next door. The campsite has bathrooms and portapoties. A wheelbarrow to carry your stuff to the site. All perfect, clean and stocked with paper, kitchen towels and soap. We would definitely come again.

Site 2

In a van down by the river.

Great trip to Manzanita Camping Co. we stayed in site 2. Pretty private. The fire pit is a nice amenity.. the bathrooms were nice and clean and the showers (2) had plenty of pressure and hot water. Just a small walk past site 6 to the river. Matt is a great host. We will consider coming here again for sure

Site 1

Nice campgrounds, messy bathrooms

Overall, we had a good experience. I appreciated the personal greeting from the host. We loved having access to a bright open bathroom free of charge with flush toilets and a shower. The campsites are far enough apart to offer privacy and they are very close to the river. Our experience would have been better if someone was tending to the bathrooms during our three day stay. The spider webs and spiders were all over the place and with many campers each room became very dirty very quickly. The hose was also dried out and broken spraying the user while in the on position. Considering it was over 100 degrees, I welcomed it, but if it were cooler out, I wouldn’t have.

Site 7

Campsite 7 was amazing. There were plenty of trees that provided tons of shade and plenty of space to set up tents. The restroom facilities were located conveniently and were clean! An additional bonus for us was that the river was just a short walk down a trail. Matt was an amazing host and I would definitely look forward to staying here again!
