This site was great! Had beautiful views, decent privacy (although a few homes scattered nearby), and the water/electric were nice pluses. Keep in mind a 2wd car is okay if it's not wet but if it was raining, rear wheel drive may get dicey for drivers lacking slight off road or dirt road experience. Definitely understand the vehicle length requirements of the site. Would definitely visit again!

The view was amazing! And the campground is night a flat. Perfect for truck campers, and regular tent camping. Having water available was so nice.

Gorgeous spot!! It’s located in a quiet spread out neighborhood in the mountains so there are houses in sight but still felt private. Responsive host, good cell service, 2Wd accessible, water and outlet available too! This was the perfect spot :)

This place is pure magic!
I specifically sought Ellen’s property out for a recent photo shoot and it exceeded our expectations. The views are amazing! Epic stargazing and sunrises. Ellen was a dream to work with and went out of her way to accommodate our specific needs and was a great communicator.
Would highly recommend! Ten out of ten!

Great little spot! Definitely not by itself but you will feel that way quickly. The road in was doable even in my rental sedan. And the sunrises….wow. Really cool spot for a quick night. Def coming back!

This place is a gem, and I will be back! It’s tucked away by some of the best hiking & views in the Santa Monica’s. Sunset and sunrise are majestic. My 5 year old son and I had the time of our lives. So serene and private, and yet you can be at the beach in 25 mins or so. So beautiful!!

We loved camping on Ellen’s land in Malibu! The views were beautiful; although we were close to civilization, it felt like we were in solitude. The drive to the site was along a winding road through the mountains over Malibu, and the location just can’t be beat! If you are in the area, this spot should be at the top of your list!

Ellen was a wonderful host, and made sure to accommodate my requests. She provided very detailed instructions to the site and I was able to find it without any issue. The spot is fantastic! The view waking up in the morning is amazing, plus it’s fun to watch the cars go by on the mountain pass later in the morning. I will definitely be camping here again!

Such a great spot. Very cute and spacious. Even though we only live 30 minutes away it felt like we were in the middle of no where. Ellen was a great host and has set up a tranquil site. It’s a little bumpy getting in but no problem for our 25’ class C. Would highly recommend.

Amazing camp site! beautiful , clean , private. I had a problem when I arrived, and Ellen and Lou came right out to help me ! This is an amazing site for hikers, as an entrance to the backbone trail is just minutes away by walk. I will say this - if you are pulling a trailer you will need all-terrain tires or preferably 4 wheel drive to get up the hill, as the gravel gets loose after rain. no trailer, no problem, any car truck or motor home can get up the hill on its own.

I was there for a one nighter and the site was great as described! Great views at the site and easy short hike to a better view of the Pacific Ocean and Santa Monica mountains. Ellen is very quick to respond, I missed the turn, which is actually not that hard to miss, but I was distracted by greenery and views. Though not as secluded as I would’ve liked but way better than a public campsite. There’s an RV hook up with solar power. I would definitely come back since I don’t live that far.
