Camping at Harrison Serenity Ranch
My girlfriend and I had an amazing time at Harrison Serenity Ranch. From the moment we arrived, Vicki welcomed us with so much kindness and made us feel right at home. The property is absolutely beautiful — the views are unbelievable, especially at sunset, and the whole place has a peaceful, secluded vibe that’s perfect for getting away from everything.
We also loved meeting the resident pig, who was surprisingly friendly and made the stay even more memorable! The campground was clean, quiet, and thoughtfully set up, and you can tell the hosts genuinely care about the land and the experience they provide.
Highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a relaxing, unique getaway. We’ll definitely be back!

We had an amazing time glamping at Vicki’s. The stars were amazing, the forest calming, and we loved the yoga deck. Vicki was easy to communicate with and very helpful. The land is magical!
The beds were super comfy and my young children and older dog really enjoyed themselves.
Amazing adventure just over an hour away from home.
Warning- we did use our 4 wheel drive to get around certain areas (and we loved it). Not the place to drive a lowriding car.
We will most definitely be back!

Our crew had such a great time and Vicki was a wonderful host. She was responsive, accommodating, and friendly. The land and campsite were gorgeous, and our kids especially loved being visited by the resident pigs!

The camp was not as advertised obviously pictures make it look a lot nicer than it is the facilities that I was able to use was a porta potty. There was no flushing toilet. No shower made available to me. Those were things that were described as what was available so my experience was not very good.

My gf and I loved tent camping at Vickis land! Amazing views and it felt like we had the whole campsite to ourselves. It was more then we expected. PERFECT overall, Vicki is super friendly and very helpful. Her lovely dogs were cute and respectful. We will definitely book again, we felt like we were in the clouds. HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT.

We only stayed one night and it was vey nice. We have a 20 foot camper van and it made it up the dirt mountain road good and found a nice camp spot!

Great place for a weekend away from the city with a little history mixed in. Even better views and our host, Vicki, was very welcoming and fun to have a chat with during a quiet Saturday night. If you don’t have a 4x4, recommend taking the back road from Palomar Mountain down to the campsite.

I was greeted into the camp as I pulled up. Vicki was there to help get me situated. I followed, in my truck, to my camp site. I took the off-road site since my truck is 4x4. It was also the furthest away from other campers. I went alone to get away and get unplugged. The site is beautiful with stunning sunsets. I was ablw to unwind and get away! My site cam with a shovel for my camp fire and two lounge chairs. Bathrooms and showers were close by and clean and warm water for the shower! The campgrounds have a historic background, Nate Harrison had a homestead here and these are native lands, whcih I couldnt find much info on but will look up for I do plan on visiting more often. I will be back with family and friends and solo too! Every person either camping or working was very kind and helpful!

This is an awesome place--high above North San Diego county, surrounded by trees and spacious enough to feel away from it all. We had a great time camping with our 3-year-old and Vicki was super helpful throughout our stay. We highly recommend coming to stay at her ranch.

We absolutely LOVED camping here! The site was beautiful, there were amazing views, & the bathrooms were so nice & clean. They had fire pits & shovels on each site which was so nice. It truly was peaceful as everyone there kept the noise to a minimum & when it would get “loud” it was peoples laughter which would make you want to laugh & enjoy the moment as well. We definitely plan on going back. We took our dogs & they had a blast roaming around & exploring. There was a dog on site that I’m assuming is the lands dog who was very friendly & sweet, he got along with my dogs perfectly fine.

Great little place! Owner was very friendly and walked us around the campsite and telling us the history about it. It was very quiet with just the crickets chirping and also had amazing views! The campsite is off an off road trail that is up hill but any car is able to traverse up as there were many 2WD cars up the mountain.

Me, my wife, and our 19 month old daughter had a blast at Vicki’s campground. Upon arrival she gave a great, laid back tour of the grounds and we were able to pick our campsite. The views from the campground are amazing, we were lucky enough to be there during a SpaceX launch, quite the view.
We enjoyed the luxury of toilets and a running sink in the bunkhouse, if you need some luxury while camping, this is it. We brought our own tent but the tents she has setup look great too.
She has some really awesome animals on site that my daughter loved, she still talks about Pumba weeks after leaving the site. Solo was a great dog and he was kind enough to grace us with his company for dinner by the camp fire.
If you’re into history, the story of Nate Harrison is fascinating and you can visit the original site of his cabin, make sure to ask Vicki about how he got there.
Would and probably will stay there again, very family friendly, quiet, and spread out. Vicki was a great host.

We had such a great time here! The place is super peaceful and relaxing, and Vicki was really helpful in finding us a spot that worked best with our child. Our kid loved meeting the pigs and chickens — it made the stay extra fun.
The tents are nicely spread out, so you don’t feel crowded or disturbed by others. We especially enjoyed the foggy mornings with the fresh forest smell — such a perfect little getaway!

A beautiful property. Peaceful and relaxing. Vicki was friendly and communicative. I went on a Sunday thru Tuesday. Not many others there. Plenty of shade. Bring bug spray, you're outdoors!

What a beautiful place! So quiet and serene. The road up is a a bit rough with a lot of tight turns and potholes, so try not to go at night like I did and go slow - but the views are worth it.
Super quiet - I was one of only a handful of campers there. Saw one of the best sunsets of my life here as well. The host was also a delight! Plus, they have flush toilets and showers which is awesome! Will be back soon!

Harrison Serenity Ranch was just what we needed—super friendly hosts (including a friendly pig who came by for a visit), cool people in the other campsites and a great place for dogs. Phenomenal views around the campsites, some cool trails to explore as well. There are some glamping options but we were tent camping. It's not super fancy, nor should it be (that would kinda kill the vibe!) but it has everything you need. We'll defintely be back!

We had a wonderful tent camping at the Harrison Serenity Ranch. Vicki was communicative, helpful and kind before our arrival. We read some reviews commenting on the road, so we were a bit nervous, but honestly it wasn’t so bad. Slight off road on gravel road, but no pot hole on uneven road bumps, it wasn’t a big deal. The ranch was easy to find and we got our choice of sites as we were the first there. Our campsite was large, had a picnic table and fire pit, was close to the bathroom and had an amazing view. The facilities were better than expected- multiple clean toilets, numerous shower stalls, paper products and soap. The camp host Rick was also very friendly and talkative. We “hiked” around the property and got to meet some lovely dogs and pigs. Overall it was an awesome stay! I would definitely come back here. It was quiet at night, great stargazing, very serene and special.

Great view and a fair amount of privacy which was welcomed, especially on a holiday weekend. Being so close to San Diego but also a few thousand feet higher meant cooler temps too! Very friendly host and a nice sized walkable property. We'll be back! We hope to meet the pigs next time...

I loved this place! I had so much fun here, even just for a night. It’s far away from town to where I felt like I was going on an adventure, and close enough that I could see the fireworks from Seaworld, where I live, with a good pair of binoculars.
We also got some yummy fresh eggs! Bathroom and shower situation are nice.
This place is very serene and quiet, such a tranquil escape. My time here was absolutely restorative. Can’t wait for more

Our site had a great view and decent distance from adjacent sites. Bathroom was comfortable and clean. Vicki was warm and hospitable. The only thing that makes me think twice about coming back is the bugs.
We got lucky in that the mosquito level was surprisingly low the weekend we were there. There were swarms of little flies which were annoying but bearable. But as soon as we took out food to start preparing dinner, we were swarmed by wasps and they took over the food. I had thought that the audible din of buzzing in the background had been the flies but…apparently it was the wasps. We hid out in the smoke of the fire. They subsided after dark, at which time we relaxed and did some campfire cooking. Then my son found a tiny brown scorpion under a chair…then we found a gray one and a beige one nearby within 5 minutes. These were all tiny, about the size of my thumbnail, plus the tail. Hard to relax after that so we just called it a night and escaped into the tent. 😮💨

Harrison Serenity Ranch is the most beautiful place to call home for a weekend. Rick was awesome and very friendly. Checked on us and always said good morning. Even gave us some of his personal stash of firewood, so we could still have a small fire that first night, when we were told they did not have firewood for sale. It has beautiful views and a serene atmosphere. And bathrooms and showers were definitely a huge plus. Thank you for such an amazing experience in the mountains.

Such a great spot! The ranch owner and staff are amazing and definitely go above and beyond for their guests. Views are incredible and you’ll probably see their ranch pig roaming around!

Great experience. Low key quiet campground. I don’t need high end facilities, so put me in the non glam category. Victoria is very responsive and the camp host, Nick, is there to welcome you and get you situated. He is very accommodating. Overall, 5 stars. Thank you, I will be back.

Incredible location though it was quite the drive getting up there. A little confusing getting around but the host and the manager were so lovely and made sure I knew where I was going. Tent was cozy and the bed was super comfortable!
