Site 1 - Lower Lake Farm Camp

The campsite was great, close to the beach and to the redwood national park. Jose and Carolyn were very helpful and responsive. We had the camp to ourselves, could be crowded if fully booked, but the location is perfect and the hosts very nice!

Mixed feelings

Big barky dogs, lovely lawn

This spot is quite lovely and mostly quiet. We were not ready for the three large dogs constantly outside right infront of all the sites. They bark very loudly at all hours. We were awoken 4 times during our week long stay between 2 and 4 am. At one point they were barking for 30 minutes Im the early morning hours. They will also go nuts around 7 am and 6 pm every day, I’m assuming when they are fed. The property was beautiful and the hosts were pleasant but I’m really not sure if I’d recommend this place to others because of how much loss of sleep and general irritation the loud barking dogs brought. I also have a cat that sits outside with us on a leash who couldn’t be outside almost the whole time we were there because the dogs went crazy when they saw him. Close to beach, and fun art festivals.

We absolutely can recommend staying here. About 1.5 miles to a public beach that had few people and miles of beach to walk. About 10 minutes to the Jedidiah Smith Redwoods National Park visitor center. Quiet location and welcoming hosts.

Jose and Carolyn’s place is beautiful and quiet, just a mile from the beach. I was looking for a stay last minute when I was in town property hunting. Carolyn was super quick to respond and accommodating. I’ll definitely stay here again when in the area

Peaceful Reset

Thank you so much Jose & Carolyn for your amazing hospitality & kindness you showed us during our 2 day stay. Lower Lake Farm Camp was 40 degrees cooler then our temp at home allowing us to refresh, reset & relax. Your recommendations & suggestions were spot one. Watched a beautiful sunset at Kellogg Beach, biked to the Earl Lake & the Smith River, enjoyed the surfers on South Beach & star gazing. There was so many wonderful adventures nearby so we'll have to return to discover more. We so enjoyed the fresh squash out the garden & feeding the animals. Josh bent over backwards providing us with a picnic table, fire pit, wood & assistance in hooking our trailer up. Thank you K&D

Beautiful Crescent City Farm

We loved RV ing at the farm. The property is huge so lots of spacious room to spread out. The goats, horses and pups are fun to watch. Jose welcomed us to the spot and Carolyn came by to say hi and dropped off some freshly picked vegetables. The pit fire was a nice touch.

Site 3 - Lower Lake Farm Camp

Very kind and helpful hosts! Ramone was amazing. He saw us coming and helped us navigate their entrance-which was a tight fit for our 40' Class A. He got us safely in! He also let us borrow a ladder for some RV repair work. Carolyn showed the kids their new lambs and allowed our kids to pet and feed their livestock. Their property has 5 sites so your whole party could stay here. They are a very short drive from the ocean and have great access to Crescent City and the Redwoods.

Carolyn and Jose are very gracious hosts. They were available to answer questions, but generally left us to our privacy. The sites are well spaced in an open area. The location is close to the northern end of the Redwood National and State Park, as well as just over a mile from Tolowa Dunes State Park.

Amazing stay!

We had a great time, Carolyn and Jose are amazing guests, they made us feel very welcomed. Their place is beautiful, and just 10 minutes away from Jedediah State Park. Our baby enjoyed the animals, and we loved the fresh eggs.

Farm stay near Redwoods and beaches

Really nice property and kind hosts. Jose and Carolyn made sure we had what we needed and invited us to roam around and talk to the animals and see the greenhouse plants. Super close to Kellogg Beach which was really an awesome place to view the sunset. Also very close to the Redwood forests, Smith River (and kayaking), and Crescent City. Quite a nice place to stay while we played!

Like a peaceful oasis

Absolutely loved my stay here. Hosts were so kind and accommodating. I was taking a quiet break between festivals I’m working at and my cool, quiet and comfy stay at this farm was replenishing and lovely. The animals are sweet and the water tastes great. Such a great place to cool off from inland summer heat and gather oneself like a mini-retreat. I hardly left there because I slept well and it was so peaceful. It’s an oasis in these hot and frenzied conditions of modernity! I will definitely return when making this circuit of gatherings throughout Oregon and NorCal next year!

Jose and Carolyn provided a phenomenal experience on a gorgeous property only 1 mile from a gorgeous, "locals vibe" beach. They were very responsive, welcoming, laid back hosts. We will absolutely be going back for all of our future beach trips. 20/10 recommend.

Lovely setting on a small family farm. The hosts are very friendly and have made this a nice place to camp. It is generally quiet though three beautiful dogs in a fenced yard make their presence known occasionally. The full hookups are nice. New 30 amp electrical. We parked a 28’ travel trailer and that’s about as big as I’d try to park there…not a ton of space to maneuver. Also, we arrived after an incredible amount of rain in late winter and our rig wasn’t easy on their lawn. They were understanding and I’m sure it’ll be in good shape after some drier weather.

Peaceful setting, with the Milky Way at night. You can hear the ocean in the distance. Ramon greeted us when we arrived and helped us get our trailer parked in site 4. Carolyn is very responsive and offered us vegetables from their garden and fresh eggs. Both are very friendly.
