Come stay at our ( rustic campsite ) the site is under some large oak trees next to a little open area. With 19 acres. We welcome guests to camp on a somewhat private part of the ranch (on occasion, equestrians may ride by). We can accommodate up to 6. We only allowed up to one vehicle. You are also welcome to hike to this site if you wish! At the campsite, you'll find picnic tables, a fire pit for small fires, and NO running water. NO electrical outlet is at the campsite. There is NO functional bathroom. We do have a portal potty. Walking around the property, you'll find small hiking trails. Permission may be granted to hike to the hilltop for entry if requested. Some firewood may be provided at a cost. Please NOTE if you are allergic to POISON IV: LET ME KNOW IN ADVANCE SO WE CAN TELL YOU WHERE IT IS IN THE PROPERTY. We are not responsible for you or your party getting in contact with Poison IV. We have goats on this property and we have two gentlemen come to the property to feed them and let them out. Goats are very friendly. Goats are not TRAINED TO BE PETED. This property is very peaceful and quiet. Headlamps are a great idea, otherwise, flashlights for sure. No electricity at the campsite. No SHOWERS at the campsite, and it is very dark between the campsite. We are located only 5 miles to Down Town Ojai and approximately 20 min drive to the Ventura county beaches and about 5 miles to Ojai major shopping center. The Ojai Olive Oil Company is just next door so you can drive to their tasting room. Make sure you call The ojai Olive Company to make reservations. Overall this was a great experience. The place was lovely and allowed us to get into nature for the weekend, but it was still close to Ojai, so we actually spent Saturday in town. Site 1 is a little more built up then a typical recreation.gov site, which is nice in some ways - two picnic tables, solar-powered string lights that allow you to walk around at night without a flashlight, a charcoal bbq, a trashcan, chairs, etc). For our taste we didn't need the little man-made fountain or the couple of plastic trinkets around the site, but that's just our personal taste. The fact that the creek was running made it very lovely. And there are lovely views of the mountains. And we didn't see too many other people around, which was great. Edith was sweet and responsive.

Lovely little camp spot with quite a bit of care put into its development and maintenance. It was a quiet and peaceful night. It was so nice to have chairs, fire pits, shade, and even lighting all set up already. The many solar fairy lights made it magical when they all came on automatically at dusk. The host was very responsive by phone and helped us guide us to the correct location.

This was a great spot for my family. Edith was great at directions and communication and the campsite had everything we needed. It was a great location and the kids are wondering when we can come back.

Overall, the experience was meh. First had an issue with getting to the actual site, since it’s tucked away behind the olive oil company. The host did not answer the phone even tho I called her 4 times and kept her updated at what time and how far I was to the camp site. When getting there we didn’t know which actual camp site it was because she wasn’t there to greet us even tho it said in the listing she was going to be there. Aside from that- the porter potty was covered in spiders and wasn’t given clear directions on how to get to the view at the top. We walked around trying to find the stairs she was talking about to get to the top but ended up giving up cause we didn’t feel safe. Felt more like a junk yard than an actual camp ground, lots of random stuff laying everywhere. You’re better off at Dennison camp ground up the street for the fraction of the price. Not worth the money, don’t let those photos fool you.

Great peaceful spot. Really enjoyed it with my kids. It’s next to stream but in summertime it’s dried up which is the only downside. Edith is a great host, she has lots things in works for future improvements , like shower is on the way and other things . Port-a potty’s were clean. There is no running water as of now , bring more water than you think . Downtown ojai is 10-15min away if you forgot something. I was there in the middle of the week so no one was really around . Check out goats roaming around on property and little secret hang out spot on top of the mountain.

Absolutely loved camping here! There was so much open space to explore and some amenities that made our trip so lovely. Our host was very helpful and we really enjoyed seeing the goats roam around during the day. Will def be back!

Edith's spot was amazing! Tucked away in a small valley, but also really close to downtown Ojai. The views were beautiful at night, plenty of seating and a picnic table which was great for us to have our thanksgiving dinner at. Really just a beautiful spot back there I would absolutely stay again!

Edith was so wonderful in meeting us a couple of times prior to our gathering. We had a pretty large gathering with many moving parts and she was helpful all along the way. The land is lovely please make sure to honor the land with your visit. Keep it clean... during the hot months if you can water the plants.... it is a loving, welcoming land and should be treated as such. We had a memorable 4 day retreat with our group and hope to return again in the future.

Edith's property was peaceful and quiet, just as we'd hoped. We visited in the summer so it was hot, but we were expecting that and picked this spot specifically because it is shaded. We were very comfortable. The hills and rocks around us were so lovely. We enjoyed watching the goats on the other side of the field be let out each day for grazing (although one of our dogs did not approve so please consider that if you plan on bringing dogs). There is a lot of old furniture and tools about but plenty of space to set up your own stuff. No bathroom or running water so plan to pack in and pack out. All in all, we would visit again!

It’s due to false advertisement. When I check online it says that there are amenities available at the camp site like toilet, shower, kitchen which unfortunately weren’t there. And the camp ground is rocky. Not suitable for people who doesn’t prefer using air bed mattress or foam. Please tell the host to update the advertisement in their website ti prevent future confusions.

This camp area was picturesque. There were different areas that we could choose to set up our camp. The site we chose has a beautiful set up, with a dining table and outdoor solar lighting. The property also has some chickens and goats. Our little pug had a great time meeting the other animals. The host was responsive throughout the entire stay.

Camping at Los Encinos ranch in Ojai was fantastic! Our host Edith was very accommodating and friendly. The grounds were beautiful and well kept. Lots of space and she even took us to the top of the mountain. After hiking up the beautiful rocks and trail, we reached the top where we had the most amazing view. 360 view of Ojai valley in all its beauty. There was a cute table with chairs to chill and take it all in. We felt safe and relaxed. Away from it all. Our camp site was huge. Owls calling all night. Morning birds were in abundance. We slept so well. There was no electricity or running water but hey, it’s camping right! Lots of solar lights to light our path around our camp. Everything was perfectly placed and thought out with every detail. A wonderful experience. Highly recommend to anyone who just wants to disconnect and enjoy the natural beauty. We will definitely return.

Edith was an extremely welcoming host. Her beautiful sanctuary like setting was so relaxing. We booked for 2 nights and liked it so much we ended up adding another. It was a wonderful trip of peaceful bliss under the night stars.

Magical, especially this time of year (Spring)! You won't find these epic views and this much space anywhere else. I loved being in the mountains, but still pretty close to town and at a lower, and warmer elevation. There's something for everyone at this site. My favorite was the variety of wildflowers on the property. We also enjoyed hiking, star gazing, looking at the baby goats, and listening to the creek as we went to sleep.

This is a beautiful, peaceful setting surrounded by nature in the foothills of Ojai. You can take a short hike up to a vista point that offers a great view of the valley. It is a short drive to town and all the great restaurants, shops and tasting rooms. It was a bit tricky getting our 18 foot trailer and truck up the narrow rocky dirt road to the camping site but it was worth the effort. Dry camping only.

Edith’s site was awesome. Very peaceful, right next to the creek. I highly recommend the hike up the ridge with the view of Ojai Valley. A short drive from town for supplies. Overall we loved it and can’t wait to come back!
