Lisa was a very great and responsive host. You can tell she has thought of everything you might need. Although we didn’t get the privilege of meeting her directly, we did get to meet her sweet pup.
The cabin has its quirks that I found to be quite fun and unique, the fire pit is a great touch underneath the stars and the property is in perfect proximity to Sue Meg, Trinidad, and some really cool beaches. We will be back! 🩷

Absolutely heaven in Trinidad.. Covey the dog is your welcoming committee but the birds and banana slugs stole the show. Love this place and can’t wait to return.

I could write a novel on how much my girlfriend and I enjoyed our stay. First off this is in beautiful Trinidad, CA which is an amazing redwood town with gorgeous coastal beaches and views and so close to the national park. Secondly, Lisa and her Husband Jeff are phenomenal hosts and you can tell they take excellent dedication and care into this space they call the elf cabin. The cabin itself is GORGEOUS it is so perfect for its size and surprisingly so so so so SOOO CLEAN especially for how rural it is located, you get the perfect package with a beautiful outdoor vibe as you sleep but the comfort of sleeping at home. There is a camp style kitchen with two plug in stove tops and a fully functioning bathroom with amazing running water. This places literally deserves awards, please you need to do this as if your life depended on it the price to reward ratio is ridiculous it was so much fun and so cozy!!

Amazing spot! Hope to come back someday. In the middle of the redwoods with so many local hikes to explore. The spot has everything you need. Highly recommend!

Perfect spot to explore the coast and Redwoods! We loved waking up to the sound of chirping birds while being cozy in the comforts of the cabin. Everything we could have needed was provided in advance in the cabin and Lisa was very communicative and helpful during our stay. We would recommend to anyone looking for a cozy basecamp near the coast and redwoods.

This was a very cute cabin. You fell asleep to bird noises, which felt like a movie moment for me. It’s also extremely cozy in it. The commute from the cabin to the city was very good. The hosts were really helpful. Overall an amazing experience staying here.

We loved our stay at elf cabin! It was much roomier than we imagined. It’s very cute and cozy. They did a great job putting the cabin back together and remodeling it. The bed was super comfortable. It’s nice to have all the amenities of a hotel suite, but be in the coastal forest. We made a fire in the fire pit and enjoyed the cool night. You can hear the ocean waves not too far in the distance. While there are neighbors relatively close, it felt very private. My only regret is that we did not get to meet Covey, but we arrived after dark! Perhaps next time, we’re most certainly planning to visit again!

Awesome cabin in a low key area with plenty to explore. I enjoy stopping in Trinidad as I travel through the north coast and the property was very quiet and perfect for a much needed getaway. Look forward to staying again sometime!

This cabin was the perfect escape tucked into the center of the redwoods. It was a dreamy getaway in the perfect location to explore all the redwood parks north and south. The cabin is also a 5 minute drive from Trinidad with great restaurants and cafes. The cabin itself was so well equipped, cozy, and fairly private - all creature comforts provided. We’d absolutely come back again!

I stayed here overnight with my best friend and we absolutely loved the Elf Cabin. It was so cozy and quaint, surrounded by trees and nestled in a beautiful little yard. We could hear the ocean from the cabin and just a short walk down the road lead to one of the most stunning beaches I’ve ever been to!! Though it wasn’t a very swimable beach, it was the perfect place to catch the sunset. I can’t wait to come and stay here again!!!

Such a gorgeous place to stay. My partner and I loved the cabin so much and the surrounding area leaves you breathless. Jeff and Lisa are a really lovely couple and the care they put into this place really shines through. Would absolutely recommend.

My husband and I spent two nights in the Elf Cabin and absolutely loved it. The kitchen was very well supplied, the bed was super soft and comfy, and the outdoors was incredibly calm and peaceful (except when it wasn’t due to a lumber planning operation next door which I suspect was a temporary situation and it ended after a couple of hours).
The coast is not easily accessible for 80 year olds as it involves lots of steps or very dicey trails. However, the surrounding beauty of the area more than suffices for the age-related problems. We hope to return regularly.

My friend and I absolutely loved staying at elf cabin. The property smelled amazing with all the eucalyptus trees, and felt so magical in the rain and sunshine. The cabin itself was super cozy and had everything you could need. Perfect little kitchen for cooking breakfasts before heading off to adventure (stocked with tea, coffee, cooking oil, salt, pepper) and the shower had an excellent water pressure. The bed was insanely comfortable. Everything is so charming and cute and thoughtful. Wonderful hosts as well, super accommodating and able to help out in extra ways if you need. This was the best Airbnb/hip camp style place I've ever stayed hands down. Loved it and would love to come again!

The pictures of this sweet little cabin do not do it justice. It was lovingly restored and every detail has been thought of. It is prefectly appointed and soooo cozy on a cold night. We made simple meals and enjoyed making s’mores with our 9 year old in the fire pit. They brought a little sleeping pad for our son and it was perfect. Definitely recommend!

I had an excellent experience! The cabin is well assembled and appointed. It’s definitely one the of the best cabin experiences so far. The bed is very comfortable, and the shower is perfect. I found the cabin very clean and welcoming. Would definitely stay again!

Well located near Trinidad and the highway, but very quiet. My welcoming committee was the host's friendly dog who stopped by a couple of times during my stay. Really cute cabin equipped with a kitchenette (hot plates, microwave, mini fridge, cooking utensils and pots/pans). The mattress was super comfy and I slept well. Would definitely stay again!

Magical! We loved our stay on this gorgeous property with kind and friendly hosts. Perfect home base for our two night trip to visit Redwood National Park. The cabin is cute and cozy with a comfortable king sized bed and an awesome skylight looking up into the forest. Super quiet and peaceful. Trinidad is one of the most beautiful places I have ever visited; Trinidad State Beach down the street is a must visit. Would absolutely stay again!

We loved staying at the Live Edge Studio while visiting Redwood National Park and were pleasantly surprised by how spacious and special this spot is. We'd travel back to Trinidad just to stay here again! We enjoyed the fresh veggies from the garden, wild blackberries, and the beach just a half mile away. The bed was comfortable and the heaters in the studio made the space so cozy. The provided snacks, oatmeal, and coffee were such a treat. I would recommend this spot to anyone looking for a peaceful accommodation in a natural setting.

The minute we arrived there was a strong sense of calm. Such a serene location down a narrow winding coastal road. The studio was very sweet and comfortable with plenty of space, zero plastic and all natural soap. Lisa and Jeff were both very nice and welcoming! The local beach spot was very nice as well. It was a good walk down the road and a somewhat steep beach access! We absolutely loved it and would love to visit again. Thank you!

A wonderful place to stay near the redwoods! The guesthouse really feels like a remote retreat, but it’s located within a short distance to anything you might need. Not to mention it’s beautifully situated in Trinidad, a gorgeous little costal town.
Lisa and Jeff are great hosts and provided so many amenities. They were very helpful answering any questions, and offering suggestions for nearby dining. (The pizza place is delicious!) There’s also an incredibly convenient supermarket nearby.
We also really loved the fire pit right outside our door, stocked with firewood and comfy chairs.
And be sure to visit the secret beach!
Last but not least, Covey is a total sweetheart :)
