Country setting yet 5 minutes to Humboldt State University, Arcata square, or Eureka, 15 minutes to Trinidad, Su-Meg (Patrick's Point), Blue Lake, and Moonstone Beach, 45 minutes to Redwood National Park, and so much more! Parking spots are on flat grassy field, near neighborhood road, typically very quiet and dark at night. We have nice bay breezes most every summer afternoon, and summer daytime temperatures are usually around 65 degrees. Abundant organic fruit free for the picking includes blueberries, blackberries, thimbleberries, kiwis, plums, pears and apples depending on the time of year (typically June through November) and we usually have fresh duck and chicken eggs, veggies, and culinary herbs (rosemary, thyme, sage, lavender etc.) to share from our garden, which is a work in progress, like many things! You're welcome to hang out by the very private creek for morning coffee or afternoon picnics and great bird and wildlife watching--if you're lucky you might even get to see river otters fishing and playing in the creek! You might want to bring water shoes or rain boots if you'd like to wade across the creek and explore the beautiful, serene 60 acre private nature preserve that borders our property. We have a young son and you'll often find us working and playing in the garden, creek, or around the property during the daysOffering a sweet and convenient spot midway between Arcata and Eureka (5 minutes to both), just a couple minutes off 101 but with a rural feel on a mini-farm. 10 minutes to CalPoly Humboldt, Arcata Community forest, plus many other wonderful spots. We're in a lovely, quiet, walkable neighborhood, perfect jumping off spot for your adventures. Perfect for self-contained travelers. Family and kid friendly, we ask for quiet evenings (after 9 pm) for all to enjoy. Feel free to wander down to the year-round creek, pick fresh fruits around our 1 acre property (July-October), and either visit with our family if we're around, or just have your own space. Fur-babies (leashed) are welcome in the camping area, but not in the back part of property shared with chickens, ducks, and our own furry family. Lots of good spaces for walks around the neighborhood! Water and house power available by request--no restrooms, no dump station--byo adapter and hose please! Water and power are expensive here, please be conservative. Parking spot is on grassy field, close to the neighborhood road, typically very low traffic/quiet at night. Please be considerate of our wonderful neighbors! **Property is not available if the ground is too wet--please check with me first!** ** Update: Please read all site details including maximum vehicle #s, length, people allowed, dog leash requirements, etc. We love welcoming kind travelers and welcome those who understand this is our home and not a party/commercial space with, for example, 24/7 concierge service. Due to a number of folks this summer who have not respected our space: moving forward, anyone arriving who exceeds the capacity of our offered space, breaks property rules, or who otherwise does not respect our peaceful property and neighborhood.... will be kindly and immediately referred elsewhere without refund. We had such a lovely evening here! After arriving, Laurie let us pick apples from her tree then we hung out by the creek enjoying our treats :) we would absolutely stay here again!

she was really nice. I cancelled because i was afraid I couldn't back my trailer up into her spot - it's a little bigger than recommended for her place. But she was just lovely to work with.

Laurie was there to greet me and explain her site and surrounding area. There was a nice place to sit, decorated with fresh beautiful flowers. I enjoyed a nice conversation, able to pick some fruit and enjoy seeing the creek that runs through the back of the property. Close to the Land Trust which I drove to and enjoyed before leaving.

Small spot next to the host’s driveway in a very quiet peaceful rural neighborhood just outside Arcata. Laurie was very welcoming and invited us to pick fresh blueberries from the garden. Yum! We did a beautiful short hike on a neighborhood trail through a redwood forest. Somewhat lacking in privacy, but on the whole a super spot and a great location. I’d stay there again.

Our stay at Laurie’s Bayside RV Spot was delightful! We parked on a flat grassy spot with a view of her garden and a neighbor’s barn, and were able to easily hook up to electricity. There was a bouquet of flowers waiting for us on a small table with two chairs next to it. Laurie met us, showed us where to pick blueberries, brought us fresh eggs from her chickens, and told us where to take a lovely walk in the fern-covered forest nearby. A lovely host, we will definitely stay here again!

Laurie has a great spot in a beautiful rural part of Humboldt - 5 min from Eureka to the South or Arcata to the North. Nestled among small hobby farms she has access to a green space adjacent to her property, or it is a lovely walk up the lane to a trail amongst the ferns and Redwoods. The grassy camping area is perfect for tents or a camper van. We were able to get our 23' travel trailer situated, but it was a bit tight - I'd be hesitant to squeeze in anything bigger, especially if youre not comfortable backing a trailer. Once we were set up though, we had enough room to put out the awning and spend time outside. There is a hedge separating the site and the house, so we never lacked for privacy. Laurie shared we were the first trailer on her spot, so we were glad it worked out so well!

We had a lovely stay! Laurie was so sweet and accommodating, she even brought us a table and chairs because we didn’t have any, beautiful property in a Sweet neighborhood! We will definitely be back!
