It's a really charming little cottage with a comfy single bed with a trundle. Loved the decor with an deer antler rack hanging on the wall, cow hide table covering and lovely lamps, etc. It's rustic for sure but was a great very affordable option right around the corner from the amazing Bob's Well Bread.

Cabin 2 was very charming, clean, and peaceful. The instructions were clear and easy. The location was perfect! A short 5-10 minute drive to Solvang and Los Olivos. I would stay here again. 👍🏼

Lovely location, easy stroll to Bob's Well Bread for a luscious breakfast. the Bunkhouse is truly an historical treasure, however, it's tight for a couple, and especially if a dog is also along for the ride. Trundle bed itself seems too small for two, but expanding it to sleep two more comfortably was not an easy task (even two of us didn't seem to have quite enough hands). Then the expanded bed is double-bed sized, but it's so big that access is blocked to bath and kitchen and really very little room for suitcases.

On the plus side, close to town and easy to get to. It is not very private but rather is part of a driveway area with multiple parking spots with one for an RV/van and others for the cabins that are available. It was quiet. However, after returning from dinner, someone had parked in the spot. I had to knock on the door and Lisa did text the woman but she was asleep. So she had me park in any available slot, including near the house, which I did. It’s hard to say how long an extension cord would be needed from the RV/van site, but likely 100 foot. While fairly expensive, I think the whole area is more expensive.

The unit would be better for one person. A bit small for two. The pictures of the are bit misleading, since we were prohibited from using any of the amenities that are on the green grass. Beautiful spot and nice and quiet

My son and I have stayed in the bunkhouse multiple times and have always felt so welcome! It is just the right size for us and Lisa is always so attentive and kind. The backyard is truly a beautiful location and so peaceful to wake up in. If you are looking for a simple and cozy place to stay near all of the action this is truly the place! PS - aspen is the sweetest little dog :)

Ok for me but would never recommend

Very comfortable bed. The site is indeed rustic/ quite charming and totally doable if expections are low. The biggest turnoff was not feeling welcome as conveyed by note that greets you to indicate all the areas where you are not allowed, ie: all the beautiful lawn right outside your door. Additionally, I'm not convinced the unit had hot water for a shower (and you'll definitely want shower shoes), there was no way to open windows or close them if they are already open without having either the window or the handle literally fall off into your hands (if you're fast enough to catch them). Yes, coffee and tea provided, but only if you care to fit into the cubbie where the hot pot is kept and if you feel like putting the hot pot on the ground because the plug doesn't reach the outlet. Ok for me but I would never recommend to friends.

Charming; not as advertised

Overall a positive experience. PROS: Charming, safe, clean, quiet, easy parking, great access to everything. CONS: -Advertised LARGE backyard with fire pit, but.. inside the cottage is a binder that states most of these areas of not for our use? Most of the yard is “private” (even had signs) so you are designated to a smaller space near the wine cottages. Strange. That was a bit off putting. -Messages host to confirm and thank, never heard anything. Felt a bit unwelcoming. I am grateful for a peaceful stay, but will look elsewhere next time.

I stayed at the bunkhouse- it was so cute! Very cozy and so peaceful. The outdoor space was beautiful. Word to the wise, try to arrive before dark (unlike me). You’ll be able to see the pathways much better.

We’d stay here again

This is a good value and a fun experience as long as you understand what you’re getting. The place is compact, the bed a twin (unless you set up the trundle) and the door is more like a gate, but it’s cozy and comes with more thoughtful amenities than we expected. Plus, the yard offers a nice place to pico or sit the fire. We would happily stay here again.

It was good for a night with my small kid and old chihuahua in tow. Could make it work with two adults. Property is beautiful and so convenient. People who are upset about bugs, etc., probably should have more reasonable expectations — it’s not a tiny house, it’s an old cabin. There isn’t much of any privacy in this location. The wine cottages next door looked like they did and we will try those next time when my husband can come with us.

Mainly, it had no comfortable place to relax in the cabin. The bed’s height was way to high for my 80 year old body to get into. It alllooked very “cute” but did not accommodate my needs nor my husband or dog’s. We ended up not spending the night and got a room in Solvang

Awesome value for the area!

This place was sweet! Lovely piece of land with multiple units, 5-10 mins from Los Olivos, wine tasting, and everything that sweet little area has to offer. It is a small, no frills place (if you are a "fancy" person probably wouldn't recommend..), but it was clean and comfortable and got the job done for 1 night at a fraction of the price of anywhere else in the area!!!!

Exactly as advertised Very tight for two people. Would only recommend for a single person. We just needed to stay a place for the night and it served its purpose. There are gaps in windows and doors through which tiny critters could get in. Shower was good. Sheets and pillows were clean and place cozy but snug.

Rat!

Property is nice and interesting. Bunkhouse is as described - small, better for one than two. Door is a pain to use as comments reflect. When we tried to set up trundle bed, there was rat poop on the blanket. A few minutes later my wife saw a huge rat run from under the bed to the bathroom. She immediately grabbed her belongings and ended up sleeping in the car. Place needs a proper door the prevents rodents from freely entering and better pest control or a couple of cats. There was a rat trap in the unit but it was obviously not effective enough.

Lovely stay

We loved our little staycation without kids and I was pleasantly surprised as how much bigger cabin 1 was compared to pictures. We started our trip spending time in Los Olivos. We walked to Bobs Well Bread in the morning and took yoga at Old Oak Meadow yoga 5 minutes away. It was a great central location for everything we wanted to do. I didn’t use the little sound machine that was provided but very much appreciated it was there since I’m a light sleeper. We would love to return someday!

This place is not for RV!!!! No hookups what so ever. She mention you should bring an extension cord but that ain’t the problem…. The plug isn’t for RV and for $80 for just a spot (also our original RV stop was blocked so we couldn’t access to it). We messaged her, she didn’t message us back. And we called her, she knew nothing about RV hookup, when I searched specific for electric hookup for class C electric hookup, and this showed up, the listing is false advertised!!!!!!

The property was beautiful and located just off the main road. Although the lock to the cottage was a minimal (sliding “latch”) , we had felt safe to leave our luggage behind. The best part of the trip was being greeted by a little brown dog named Aspen.

Book it!!

What a fantastic find!! Perfect place to stay while exploring wine country. The cottage was super cute, cozy and well appointed with amenities. Outdoors had serval seating options with a tranquil fountain for a chill vibe. Close to great restaurants and a fantastic bakery around the corner. I look forward to coming back and have already recommended Lisa’s place. Enjoy your stay!!

Nice spot to get rest from driving. The garden and surroundings are gorgeous! The simple ground ist directly at the street. Some more informations concerning: wifi (mobile network poor), what is allowed to use or not, could be sent or described upfront. In comparison to other spots, expensive.
