We loved camping at Lawson's Landing ! We had campsite 316 which is the farthest from the road and had the whole campsite to ourselves for 2 nights. The campsite itself is also pretty big, can sleep 6 so lots of room to spread out. The weather was beautiful, the area was super clean and quiet. There was lots of deer, rabbits, squirrels, and QUAIL hanging out in the area. The beach access was perfectly easy, about a 5 minute walk from where we're staying. In general we felt super safe with our stuff animals and humans wise, even on the beach !!!
If you forget to pack anything there is Dillon Beach General Store about a 2 minute drive from the campsite entrance and Valley Ford Market about 20 minute drive out that has any yummy food you could want and any supplies you could need (they even had a tent because we forgot to pack the poles ha ha ha).
Definitely would recommend and will definitely be returning with more friends :)

This site was great! Easy to navigate through the campground and each site is well marked. The dunes and the beach are beautiful. I got to enjoy my first pacific coast sunset while camping here and it was magical! Would totally recommend!

This review will be colored by the foul weather (cloudy, foggy, rain), but I really can’t find much to recommend this site. It was expensive, with very little in terms of facilities. Smelly toilets, hard to find water, no electric, no privacy, crowded.

We enjoyed this location. Being in our motorhome it seemed like we were on a boat. Well, sort of. Beautifully cool compared to Sacramento.

I didn’t realize what a walk-in camp was and there’s no way I could’ve done that because I’m too old. So we switched to number 235 which is not a walk-in and I didn’t have to carry all the camping equipment into the campground. My truck was able to be parked right there.

This place was so unique and beautiful from the moment we drove in. The girl who checked us in was very nice, and the campsite was clean and natural feeling. There was never any bugs or extreme heat, but the nights do get misty so be sure your tent is waterproof! My dogs had a blast and we were never even charged for any pet fees. Overall I felt very welcome and comfortable, it was an absolute magical stay and I cannot wait to plan my next trip there.

I loved that the tent site was so close to the beach, and all the walk-in sites near me had a soft green grass. The family camping nearby played music the entire time, and I found it annoying, but decided not to say anything; they turned it down at quiet time, and I had some earplugs. I didn't enjoy carting things back and forth to my car, but it made me plan to be more minimalist for any future walk-in camping. I had a great walk on the beach, loved the ocean air, and even though the campground is huge, with tons of RV's all around, my tent site was all in all quite pleasant. The store only sold giant bags of firewood; for me, a smaller bundle would have been helpful.

Overall we had a great experience. But the campsite is a parking lot with porta potties. Its a hike over the dunes to the beach. The beach is beautiful once you climb out of the camping area.

Overall it was a nice place but, there was a lack of privacy ie: the campsite on one side of us decided to fish right behind our trailer consistently moving back and forth.

Disgusting and awful. Bathrooms were absolutely filthy, trash all over the campsite. I don’t recommend this place at all. Waste of $

I loved tent camping and finding Lawson's Land at last minute was a huge find! Will definitely be coming back! Just gotta watch out the seagulls flying by and pooping on you.

This was the first time I used Hipcamp.
I didn't see an RV sight available when I booked it.
It might of been an oversight on my part because I was learning how to use a New App.
When I checked in the host was able to correct the booking and we had a great stay at Lawson's Landing.

This whole space is beautiful, many vistas and gentle walks to the beach and to the bay. I don’t think I anticipated the RV spaces would be so close together. Was a little difficult to stretch out with very little privacy. Thank you for the lovely stay. I will come back again but be more careful of the location of my reservation

The camping site was quite large and had nice grass to soften up the tent camping. A short walk over the dunes and you are staring at the ocean.

I can recommend if you are looking for a typical campground full of RVs, activity and music. It was crowded and there was no privacy, but the grounds were exceptionally clean, the staff was very friendly and helpful and the site is in a beautiful location.

We really enjoyed our overnight stay here. The campsite is right next to the ocean so we enjoyed multiple walks on the beach. The restrooms were clean. Personal fire pit and bench on the campsite made it easy to cook. Stars were beautiful at night, we will be back soon

My husband, pup and I spontaneously decided to take a quick camping trip to escape the heat this weekend and found Lawson’s Landing, what fun find! The campsite was meticulously clean and comfortable! Though you are quite close to your fellow camping neighbors, you can literally just hike over the dune and enjoy the expansive beach, and find a spot for yourselves. We loved our little getaway and plan on making this one of go to spots. Thank you!!
