it was our first time staying here and it was a lovely location. it was spacious, accommodated our RV, had water and electric hook ups, a lovely pond that we walked around in the early morning and watching the sunset come up was beautiful.
we spotted tons of rabbits and birds everywhere — it looked like a movie location.
the only small issue (not in a big way for us) was that if you plan to use the showers / restroom here, it only fits 1 individual at a time. so be prepared to wait if you plan to use.
nacho was a great host and very communicative throughout our stay.

loved that they had both water and electric hook ups. the views were great and we walked around the lake in the early hours and it was beautiful with the sun rising and all the birds chirping.
the entire location looks like a movie scene.
although this wasn’t a huge deal for us, as others have pointed out, the shower area is just for one person. so if there are a lot of campers there wanting to use it, be aware of the wait times.
nacho was great, friendly and very communicative.
we will def plan to stay here whenever passing by.

Lakeside RV Site #10 Furnace Creek
Nacho reached out with a message right away offering a greeting and additional directions that were very helpful and made our arrival seamless. Our RV site (#10) was lakeside and offered a lovely view. We found the campground and lake very peaceful. We enjoyed our stay (regrettably only one night) very much and will definitely come back for a longer visit if our travels bring us back this way in the future.

Lake Olancha was a great spot for us, however it can't be overshadowed that there's a single bathroom/shower combo for the entire location. I waited in line for over 45 minutes for 1 person who took their time as if there wasn't a whole campground waiting their turn to use the restroom or shower.
Not only that, I was only able to convince my non-hardcore camping friends to come along BECAUSE there were "restrooms and showers" available on site, of which there was only one.
This campground is REALLY really cozy and was a great refuge after spending all day in Death Valley National Park. It's only 20 minutes from Lone Pine so if you wanted some modern small town fast food you're not too far from that. Great location overall, just understand that during our visit I could really only see that there was a single bathroom/shower combo room for the entirety of the campground.

Loved the views, but there were pretty inconsiderate people camping when I went. They were blaring club music for hours and getting drunk while fishing. I asked them politely to turn it down, which they did, but after a while they turned it back up. This continued until 9 at night. I was expecting better vibes here tbh

One unisex toilet in the same room as the shower for the entire campground. This campground simply does not have adequate facilities. Don’t be deceived by the big sign out front

Great one nighter spot to break up a long drive. You have a picnic table, fire pit, water, and beautiful view of the mountains nearby. Bathroom was okay, would wait to shower at your next destination. You are close to other campers but feel safe.

Wonderful oasis in the desert. The lake is beautiful & very well maintained. There are several covered docks with picnic table / sunning area on the roofs & grills w picnic tables on the lower shaded portion. Excellent location for day trips to local attractions.

The pond was honestly so cute and had so many different birds flying around! The host was very accommodating! We didn’t realize how far this camp was from the other side of Death Valley, but definitely worth is with the view of the Sierra Nevadas! Although there is only one restroom/shower, it was very nice and had plenty of hot water! Easy to get to and close to a gas station!!

Fantastic tent camping experience. The private lake and views are gorgeous. There are a few 2 story decks next to the river with gas BBQ's and chairs. A number of Great-Tailed Grackles, Yellow-headed Blackbirds, Myrtle Warblers, Coots and other birds make the lake their home. Each tent space has water and power hookups, which was really nice. There is a real shower and toilet, which was much appreciated.

Great space for an overnight stop on the way to Death Valley. Nacho was kind enough to give us a bundle of firewood at no charge. Shower was refreshing in the morning. We’ll definitely be back.

We were on a week long road trip in a camper van and this was easily the best campsite we stayed at. Nacho was friendly and welcoming and even let us hook up to water/electric even though we only rented a tent site. The campground was very well kept with a single shower/bathroom which was great and the campground has a nice lake with frogs at night and a large deck to grill on. 10/10 experience

The space was great (normal RV site). However, the label is somewhat misleading: "Lake Olancha/Death Valley". Death Valley is 105 miles away.

Olancha Lakeside Tent Site #4
This campsite was a great experience for campers (especially beginner campers). All the amenities were in good condition (firepit, camp light/non potable water source, table) and the bathroom was always clean/stocked with toilet paper/paper towels. We appreciated the extra step in providing a comfortable stay for campers. This is a great campsite for those who are looking to experience multiple parks - I would recommend folks to use this campsite if you're interested in traveling into Death Valley and Sequoia National Parks (as it's situated right between both parks). We were able to squeeze in both parks during a weekend trip!

The hosts were very easy to communicate with. I was thankful they allowed us to change our space from 3 to 4 arrival to better align my connections. My neighbor needed repairs on her camper and the hosts responded to assist right away to help out. Excellent customer service!

There’s a gas station near the entrance. Perfect overnight stopping point to Death Valley or Mammoth Lake with full hookups. We will be back!

Quite, clean and well maintained RV park. There were no other short term campers around so we got to enjoyed the whole site by ourselves. The snow covered mountain view was absolutely amazing! We will be back when the lake is full!

I loved the Olancha campground :) easy to find, well organized and just exactly what we expected, we spent the night over there coming from LA on our way to Death Valley, there was also a very convenient gas station near by with super friendly people! Overall really good!
