In late 2015 I purchased two acres of undeveloped land in north Joshua Tree and gradually built it up into a homestead. In June of 2019 my brother Tanner saw the property and all its improvements for the first time. He liked it so much that together we tracked down the owner of the parcel to the east of me and made an offer. The offer was accepted and my brother became the proud owner of two and a half acres of raw desert. When covid hit my brother left a winery management position in Napa, purchased a vintage trailer and over the next year we restored it and made improvements to the property with the intention of sharing it with sojourners, city slickers and anyone seeking repose in the dry ocean known as the Mojave desert.
Learn more about this land:
The Kozy Coach is a restored 1963 travel trailer on two and a half acres surrounded by government protected land with panoramic views of the Mojave to the north and east, the national park to the south and Big Bear mountain to the west. Less than a 10 minute drive to downtown Joshua Tree, the Kozy Coach is easy to find and access yet is still a world away from the hubbub of the city. The camper is powered by solar and has cold and hot pressurized water and a full size bed. Adorned with wrap around windows to enjoy the desert scape and starry nights, the camper also has a large area for cooking and dining. The site is landscaped, has a large shade structure, outdoor seating and cooking area. There is no refrigerator, however there is a 70 quart pelican cooler that retains ice for days at a time. At night the stars and full moon are mystifying, come and see for yourself!
