Loved it! I used to come before the owner change, and love it then too. But now, the pools have been built up much better AND you get to park in side the gate and not worry about your car being vandalized.

Rustic and quiet with beautiful hot springs. The path to the springs can be treacherous when wet, so use caution.

I highly recommend Kosk Creek Campgrounds! It’s tucked away in a little haven with hot springs, and it feels really safe because it’s a gated campground with the host monitoring everything. I also love that at night they sell firewood, so you don’t have to leave the campground — super convenient and relaxing!

My family and I had a great time at this campsite. They were plenty of spaces, and they were all very clean and well managed. They are very dog friendly, and very welcoming upon arrival as well. The Hot Springs were definitely a highlight, and they were only a 5 to 10 minute walk away.

Hot Springs Day Pass
Scott and Doug have made kosk creek a very welcoming and well cared space. Despite being there among other campers I was able to find my own space for multiple soaks. A short walk to the tubs makes it easy to go back to camp for a snack, nap, or anything.

Scott and his team are wonderful hosts. We enjoyed everything. The porta potty was clean. He has and is continuing to make wonderful upgrades to the hot springs. The campsites are spread out. It's such a beautiful place.
If you have never been here the only thing you need to be aware of is the road driving in once you pass the pit stop is very rough so drive about 5 mph to dodge the potholes in the road.
Also be aware that there is wildlife.

Truly relaxing and incredible place. Gorgeous, natural hot springs. My dog even wanted in and fell asleep on my lap in one of the cooler pools. Owner and handyman are super friendly and informative on history of the land and animals in the area that you’ll see on the property. One of my new favorite spots for my days off. The drive there is gorgeous and has all the fall colors. The road close to the property has some potholes and abandoned cars but once you reach the property it’s truly incredible and pristine. Bathrooms are available and clean. There are several pools to sit in ranging in temperatures. The owner provided a bucket to cool down or heat up pools with river water or hotter pool. Or you can jump in river to cool off- nice area to swim - very refreshing. Listen to the river and watch the fish jump- truly magical experience.

Read this!!! So YES, Highly recommend! But will keeping this a secret from my friends! Sorry not sorry!
Please don’t let the drive in deter! We definitely got wrong turn vibes, lots of junk cars and abandoned vehicles/ buildings. But the road was fine coming from Sacramento. We arrived at 12AM and were contemplating just staying in Redding and then continuing early the following morning but so glad we went straight to the campground! Waking up and seeing this place was breathtaking!!! Easy to get into in the middle of the night, and easy to find a campsite. I highly recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful, quiet, healing, romantic getaway. Be respectful…people don’t want to hear your music while in nature. This place is not a place to party, it’s a place to relax. I don’t recommend large parties although there’s plenty of wide open area for large parties… you will be sharing pools if you come with a large party/other campsites are booked…Which is tough, because not everyone likes the same temp! We had one other party of two camping across from us, and a few day users but we were still able to get a pool to ourselves with perfect timing. The weekend we went called for “bad weather” but we took the chance anyway! Portapotty was a portapotty…no complaints over here! This place left me speechless! Hope the owner will continue to allow us all access to their property! This place is natures paradise! Highly recommended and will be 100% be back!!

Loved it, great spot. Had one bundle of wood with us, and started to run out. Luckily the hosts came by on ATVs and sold us some more. Stars are amazing, camped right next to the river. There are stone fire rings as well as metal fire rings to choose from. Grass was green, a little chilly in mid-october. Highly recommend a truck or AWD vehicle, the road is very rough and you'll need to go very slow in a car. Store owner said there are lots of bears around. Tried to hang our food up a tree, but the branch broke, stayed up late, didn't see any bears. Seemed like the end of the camping season, but still had 2-3 neighbors distanced enough apart we couldn't hear them at all.

Road from Redding good until the end. Route 11 to McCloud was treacherous. Only do with a high clearance 4×4 by day. I did a day pass which I paid for on site (no cell servi e but they give you wifi and instructions at the ranch. Only me and 2 other groupson a beautiful fall day. Amazing. Best hot pool IMO is one of the ones at first stopping point thoigh second pools more picturesque

This was another excellent day pass to the hot springs!!! Five stars for sure!!! Bring a 5 gallon bucket to cool or heat up the tubs! Great suggestion and excellent stay! Will stay the weekend next time!

This place is nice and secluded. I was 1 of 2 groups camping on a sunday night. Right when I arrived there were a family of deer grazing right by the campsite I was setting up. Hot springs are very nice, definitely a hidden gem. Very off the beaten path but that's part of the charm. Good place to unplug. The people who run the campsite were nice. Would definitely go again.

We loved this place. Super special. Cannot say enough things about the hot springs.
Campsites are not exactly private. And we had quite a few people who roll in late at night and end up setting up camp pretty close to you because they can’t see.

This is a magical little spot off the beaten path. We stayed in an RV with three kids, three dogs and our pet pig, and everyone had a great time. Hot springs are lovely, sites are well spaced and the hosts were friendly and communicative hosts. We will definitely be back.

I wish I could this a GREAT review, but I gotta be honest. Absolutely beautiful camping spot along Kosk Creek, beautiful tables/fire ring. Lovely fellow campers. Unfortunately recent rain did make the creek quite turbid. That may have caused the springs to be quite cloudy as well. Since the natural temperature is so high, creek water is used to cool them. We’d love to see a better way of temperature control, somehow. The ratio of people vs hot springs got a bit crowded at times. And finally, the biggest criticism is that the portable toilets REALLY needed to be emptied. Don’t know if it ‘end-of-season’ scheduling, but when the mountain is taller than the blue water level…it’s gross 🤮
I understand nature can’t be controlled, but for this trip, and the amount paid, I gotta say ‘OK’

We went up mid October 2025 on a day pass, absolutely beautiful place! The hot springs are magical, right along the creek for a peaceful and refreshing experience. The host is easy to communicate with through the app, very informative. Excited to book a camping trip up there!
