This is a magical spot where hot pools meet a cool clear creek. Amazing natural beaty. I've been coming here decades before it was made into an official camping site. The improvements are very welcome making the place is a lot cleaner, the tubs more functional and even adding a shade/sitting structure. I applaud Chance for going the extra miles at considerable personal risk and effort to keep make historical site available to the public.

Awesome place! The creek and hot springs were superb. Even with it being busier for 4th July weekend everyone is so spaced out you don’t feel cramped at all! Also, if you want a camp fire in the summer months always bring a propane fire pit, there’s always a CA fire ban. And ALWAYS leave the place better then you found it!

We LOVED this campground! Well run - the owner is around often making sure everything is safe and running well. There are some abandoned cars along the neighboring properties - don't let that deter you, the camground property in emaculate! The porta potties are serviced often and acceptable. The campsites are spaced out and allow for privacy. The hotsprings are wonderful and the views beautiful! We brought a few pop-ups and they all were needed! Be prepared to pack-in and pack-out - no services; not even water, but it keeps the costs down. We will go back for sure!

Kosk Creek Campgrounds
It was very peaceful at Kosk Creek. The hotsprings were so soothing and getting to plunge directly from hot spring to cold creek was exilerating and so healthy for us.
Fish ladder was beautiful just up the road.
Such a pleasure talking with Scott, who is an amazingly interesting person and an outstanding host.
Thanks again for sharing such a special place on earth with us!!!!

Scott is an energetic, respectful land owner and camp host, and this is one of the most beautiful swimming holes and hot springs camp outs in the west. We had a glorious 4+ days and will be back.

The host was amazing and made sure everything was clean. The creek was a great place to enjoy the day away from the heat. The hot spots were a fantastic touch. We will definitely be coming back with family.

Great campground, hot-springs are amazing
I don’t recommend coming the Mcloud way (road is far too rough) but coming over from the 299 is far more pleasant. Not a lot of resection and bring drinking water!

We had a blast here! The first tub was super hot (140 degrees!), so we weren't getting in that one. But we made our way to the next two, and they were fabulous! Thank you, Scott, for a great experience 👍

Kosk Creek Campgrounds
We spent the Fourth of July here with a group of families, six kids ranging from 5 to 9 years old, our dogs, and a few trailers. Even though the campground was “full,” it never felt crowded. We always had plenty of privacy, which made the experience even better.
Our days were filled with soaking in the hot springs, fishing, hiking, rafting down the river, and letting the kids run wild and just be kids. Scott was incredible.. he checked in each day, made his rounds, and was genuinely great to chat with. His hospitality made us feel so welcome.
This campground is truly a special place. While it’s primarily a tent camping destination, our trailers worked just fine. The road in is a little rough, but if you take it slow, you’ll have no problem getting there.
If you’re looking to disconnect, this is the perfect place. You really get the full off-grid experience while being surrounded by some of the most beautiful scenery. It felt like our own little piece of heaven, and the entire weekend was absolutely magical.
10/10—we can’t wait to come back!

Every time I go back something is improved I loved what you did with the first pool by River adding hose with cool water, but hank you and the umbrella I love this place it’s my healing water retreat.

My friends and dogs and I camped at one of the creekside spots. Pros: It was beautiful, the river and hot springs were amazing, it was pretty quiet and dark. Host was very communicative e and helpful. Porta potties were okay. Cons: The mosquitoes were really bad - bring incense or netting for dawn and dusk. WiFi didnt work too well for me so I’d be prepared for no service. Be careful of Google Maps as the host warns - there’s only one road in and out to the highway! No wood or coal fires during fire season. TLDR: I would definitely recommend this spot!

Incredible place. I almost don't want to tell anyone. The land is magical and I felt very held and nourished. The porta-potties are fine and clean. The meadow and campsites were clean and mellow. The hot springs are perfect .

We spent a lovely, hot summer afternoon at Kosk Creek. We can't wait to come back and stay overnight! It is a truly magical place, everyone we met was as excited and happy as we were to be there and took good care of the site. Large, clean sites with picnic tables. Shade available. Plenty of space between sites. Super dog friendly. Very quiet & peaceful at night. The hot springs are amazing! My only regret is we only stayed one night.

Got a site in the middle of the week and not busy at all. The creek is very peaceful and refreshing! The hot springs are very nice during the early morning and evening. Overall, great place to camp.

Great relaxing spot. Beautiful for starry nights and river sounds. The store in Big Bend is so friendly and convenient. Hot tubs are very popular so get ready to meet other chill people.

We didn't stay over night but did the day use for the hot springs. The directions we received were very helpful and clear. Hot springs were awesome! All easily accessible and lots of different options for heat, including cold plunge in the river. Beautiful setting and property, we look forward to coming back and camping next time!

Kosk Creek Campgrounds
The scenery at Kosk Creek is what really stood out — a beautiful mix of creek views and forest cover that made the short walk in (under 15 minutes) an enjoyable part of the day itself. The camping area itself is rustic yet clean, with a nice selection of both sunny and shaded campsites, set up in a meadow above the creek — we didn't get much of a bug bite problem being up out of the water. We camped in our van and had no trouble finding a spot that worked well for it. The hot springs are man-made stone soaking tubs set in a naturally gorgeous spot; they're not super secluded, but the setting more than makes up for it. There's also a great swimming hole nearby — bring swim goggles, because you can spot a surprising number of fish once you're under the water. Host communication was excellent throughout, which made planning and finding our way easy. Overall a great day trip — we'd happily recommend it to other Hipcampers looking for an easy, scenic soak.

Beautiful spot and we will definitely return. We are so grateful that we found this place. Make sure you have the gate combo before you head out there as there is no service but there is wifi up the road at their house gate.
