Jug Handle Creek Farm and Nature Center is a nonprofit with a five minute walk to Jug Handle State Reserve, Jug Handle beach and the Ecological Staircase trail. We offer 11 unique campsites with plenty of space and privacy. Each site has two picnic tables, a fire ring, parking for two cars and plenty of space for your tents. Our 33 acres include a native plant nursery, community gardens, forests, meadows, and nature trails. Our site has lots of nature trails, is peaceful and beautiful and just a 5-minute walk to Jug Handle Beach and the Jug Handle Preserve. Our Mission: We offer a welcoming and supportive environment for people of all backgrounds to explore nature and connect with the natural word. Nature stewardship is central to our non-profit mission and as an organization we are engaged in many nature restoration projects throughout Mendocino County. We also provide a supportive learning environment for nature education for disadvantaged youth during the school year. #9 - Walk into Forest

Beautiful property and easy to find the campsite. We were in #9 which was a little set back and offered a good amount of privacy from other sites. There was a water spigot very close and newly constructed bathrooms and porta potties within a few hundred yards. We did not have any contact with our camp hosts but did purchase firewood at the self serve kiosk and found the campsite in good shape except for some litter in and around the firepit which we picked up and packed out with us. The new bathrooms appeared to be finished but required a code to unlock which were not given so we used the porta potties that were nearby. This is a great stay over spot for Mendocino/Fort Bragg adventures.

#3 - Grandma's Wild Woods

I enjoyed our spot. Unfortunately the bathrooms weren't open yet but the port-a-potties were super clean and were cleaned while we were there. I also enjoyed the various trails that run through the campsite. We hiked from site 10 to the beach and it was beautiful. We also did a few other trails that were lots of fun.

The location was so beautiful! We arrived pretty late (in the dark) but could still easily find our site and had plenty of space to set up.

#9 - Walk into Forest

This is a great spot! Campsites are very clean and well taken care of. Ocean breeze ever present and gorgeous views in every direction.. if your into privacy like us #9 is the way to go! Plan to return annually now!
