Spacious pull-through sites with fauna for privacy and a bit of shade from the hot desert sun. Joshua Lake is small yet creates an oasis. Facilities are well-maintained.

Nice campground not too far from the National Park - Power was out for a few hours when we arrived and tents had to be fixed with stones as the ground was really compacted, but otherwise great view at the night sky and generous amount of space :)

Checkin in went smooth and great organisation. We didn’t check in until 11pm but it was easy to contact security. It felt safe to stay there and any questions were easily answered.
Showers and bathrooms were also great!

The campsite is located in a really great area close to the North entrance of Joshua Tree National Park! The campsites within the National Park book up quickly, so this is a great alternative to staying in the park. It was easy to locate and check in. The campsite we stayed in was perfect. We saw the most gorgeous stars during the night we stayed there! However, there were some issues related to water and bathrooms during the weekend we visited.
When we checked in, the power at the campsite was out. This meant that we wouldn't have access to running water or to the bathrooms. The host informed us that we could use the portable toilets located onsite, and that they had water available for purchase if needed, but that payment could only be accepted in cash. Since we didn't have cash, we had to drive into town to fill our containers with water from a gas station. I understand that power outages are unavoidable and not the fault of the site, but it would have been nice to have water available since it is listed as a feature of this campsite.
The portable toilets were very dirty and several of them didn't have toilet paper. There also wasn't hand sanitizer or soap available. We had camp soap we were able to use, but again, it would have been nice to have soap or sanitizer provided. After the power came back on, the bathrooms were reopened and were very clean and well stocked! I would stay here again, but would bring extra water and hand sanitizer in case of power outages.

The staff was very friendly bathrooms were clean as was the site!! The hot water in the showers was perfect. I would definitely double check the weather, we will go back in cooler weather 😎

Our experience at Joshua Tree Lake was unforgettable! Paul was absolutely amazing; he helped us set up our tent and made us feel so welcome. We also want to thank Shiley (or Shaley—sorry if I’m mispronouncing it!) for being so kind and helpful throughout our stay. This was my first time camping and my husband’s first time camping as an adult, and we’re already looking forward to coming back. We also left four tent stakes on the bench; I hope Paul found them! Thank you again for such a memorable experience!

The hosts were great. It’s a very exposed area and the wind was active. I may have had a bad draw and the regular showers were down. They had outdoor showers and they were good. It’s very open- know that. The staff were absolutely wonderful.

My husband and I loved Joshua Tree Lake campground. We camped in a tent with our dog and the surrounding area is beautiful. There is a dog park and it is very dog friendly.

They were amazing hosts! Easter egg hunt around the lake amongst the ducks, road runners running by and lovely knowledgeable staff. What a sunset by the fire as well.,

We had an amazing stay at this campground! The location couldn’t be better — just minutes from the Joshua Tree National Park entrance. The campsite was peaceful, clean, and thoughtfully laid out. Communication with the host was smooth and easy; they provided clear directions and tips for exploring the area. Highly recommend for anyone looking to experience the beauty of Joshua Tree while still having a comfortable and convenient place to camp. Would definitely stay here again
