Welcome to our unique property, Luna Mesa! We have two unique cabins available for you onsite and we’re excited to host your stay. About the property Our location is very unique with the entrance to Joshua Tree Nat’l Park only about 5 minutes from the property. Luna Mesa is also within walking distance to the Nancy Karl preserve trail where you can explore our unique environment on foot.  Also near to our property you can find hiking, rock climbing, and Morongo Basin Preserve for bird watching! Our location also gives good access to Joshua Tree (town), Yucca Valley, and 29 Palms which means there is excellent access to supplies should you need them. You can also pop into town to visit the Local Health Food Store, art galleries, Saturday Farmer Market and multiple restaurants and local music venues. We are an owner operated vacation rental since 2015 and we are available by phone or text to help with your stay anytime. About the listing This listing is for Highlands Artist Retreat which includes a one bedroom/one bath cabin with full kitchen, jacuzzi, laundry center, patio & Wi-Fi! It is adjacent to a 900 square foot art studio equipped for any kind of art project -- work tables, sink, movable walls, state of the art lighting, plus bathroom and kitchen.  Our favorite things about this listing are the views, quiet surroundings with mountain views, amazing sunrises & sunsets and of course the outdoor jacuzzi for star glazing & relaxation. If you are looking for a longer stay The Highlands Artist Retreat rents for $1500/week. $4000/month. One day location shoots are $2000/day so please inquire if this is what you’re needing. Other amenities: -Full bathroom with tub and shower -Full kitchen with cooking supplies -Wifi and good cell reception -Queen size beds with a pull out sofa -Pets allowed with pet fee (please inquire) -Potable water available -Firepit available -Trash disposal available -Laundry services available Additional details to note Our check-in time 2:00pm and check -out time 11:00am. We do allow earlier check-in or later check-out by request to just reach out.

Great getaway in the desert expanse

Artist Retreat Cabin
We loved staying at Frederick's cabin that had everything we needed for our wintertime stay. The cabin was pristine and the outdoor patio was spotless as well. To our surprise, this cabin is the site of the Joshua Tree Highlands Artist Residency, so it was so fun to walk through the creative backyard filled with art in the quiet desertscape - sculptures, artist sheds, wooden structures, a mural. We spent the entire night warm and cozy in the jacuzzi even though the temperature that night was in the 40s. We even caught a glorious sunset and glimpses of coyotes at Joshua Tree National Park which was just a short trip down the road. Definitely recommend staying here for the peace and quiet.

Luna Mesa Cabin
Luna Mesa Cabin was a home away from home experience. All the amenities you could want in a space to get some work done, relax outdoors in some unique spots and chill indoors with some epic movie selections. Upon arriving the views surrounding the space were incredible. Luna Mesa is nestled in a quiet area of Joshua Tree, only a few miles away from the park and the center of town makes this location even more amazing and perfect for you Joshua Tree stay. The place is a studio with a kitchen, bath with a tub, office area, 2 outdoor patios attached to the home as well as some lounging and hang out areas spread out around the property. Oh and a jacuzzi! I brought my pup with me and having a patio that was closed off and she can easily roam in and out of the house gave me peace of mind when it came to having her in this desert environment.
