Our expansive 80-acre property, located in the mountains of north Ventura County near Highway 166 and just a 90-minute drive from Los Angeles, is the perfect setting for a unique glamping, RV, and camping experience. At Hudson Ranch, we cater to a variety of preferences with a full spectrum of outdoor experiences and amenities. We have miles of trails leading from the property, including direct access to Ballinger Canyon OHV Park. Ideal for families, pet lovers, and groups of all sizes, our property features an array of accommodations: Cabins, private rooms, furnished glamping tents, domes/yurts (coming soon), standard campsites, hammock camping, and RV sites. Whether you’re seeking adventure or relaxation, we have the perfect spot for your getaway. Enjoy the breathtaking beauty of the landscape and exclusive access to both the Bitter Creek National Wildlife Refuge and the Los Padres National Forest, where you'll be walking amongst the footsteps of the ancient Chumash Native American peoples who lived here for over 13,000 years.     Under the Moonlight Glow & Stars

    We had an incredible weekend at the Hudson Ranch Resort & Campground, nestled amidst majestic hilltops and bathed in the enchanting glow of the moon. The campground was ours to ourselves, and James and Ashley, our adorable hosts, made sure we felt like we were truly off the grid and immersed in nature. There were plenty of great ridge hiking trails to explore, and witnessing the moon rise over the mountains at night was a truly magical moment. The stars were so numerous that it felt like we were surrounded by celestial diamonds. While the host has some plans for renovations, we eagerly anticipate our return to this idyllic haven.

    My partner and I enjoyed our stay at Hudson Ranch. Great option when you want to be out in nature, but also want a hot shower and flushing toilet. James was quick to respond to any inquires.

    We had an enjoyable stay at Hudson Ranch. The host greeted us and provided us with just everything we needed: hiking routes, recommendations for what to see, and even breakfast options and some additional perks. We will definitely be back. Thank you!

    Camping with quails

    My wife and I spent 5 days/4 nights in our tent at site #3. It was a nice getaway, as the property is surrounded by nothing but hills and mountains. The only sounds are quails during the day and crickets at night, aside from the occasional airplane going by and the bugs (repellent is necessary for outdoors during the day). At night the sky was filled with stars and the Milky Way was visible. We would also regularly spot rabbits, hawks, chipmunks, and corvids. James was very cordial and quick to respond. He provided hiking recommendations since that was our main activity of interest. There is also a clubhouse and recreational options, but we didn’t utilize those on this trip since we were just there to hike and relax. Bathrooms, showers, and wifi were all available in one of the cabins. The Pine Mountain Club was about 15-20 minutes away, where we would buy groceries and go hiking. Overall it was a great opportunity to mentally refresh ourselves and connect with nature. We will likely return when we get the chance.
