House of trees was the perfect get away for my trip to the Mendocino/Fort Brag area! It was so cozy, the bed/linens were incredibly comfortable and it had everything you needed to feel to enjoy a night in. I appreciated the little touches like the teas, candle lights, bubble bath and towel warmer. Janice has really thought of everything to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Would stay again for sure!

house of trees was absolutely amazing! beautiful little cabin perfect for two the grill and fire pit were amazing to have, definitely recommend going in spring when there are no fire bans to experience a good grill and fire pit. my girlfriend and i would definitely go back in a heart beat! janice was super friendly, great host!

This cabin is absolutely amazing, and the host is fantastic! It’s super clean, and the bedding is of great quality. There’s also quite a collection of teas, which is a delightful bonus if you’re into it. I would definitely recommend it!

My partner and I stayed at House of Trees on a rainy March weekend after having to change our plans to go backpacking due to weather. House of Trees was a delightfully cozy place to stay for our visit to Mendocino. Janice was very friendly and helpful, the bed was super comfortable, bathtub fit both of us, and overall the place was tastefully appointed and convenient.

Cozy Getaway!
Janice’s cabin was absolutely incredible! It was the perfect retreat for a weekend getaway. The cabin was warm and inviting, with an unbelievably comfortable bed and thoughtful details that truly set it apart. From a fully stocked kitchen with utensils, a grill, and a toaster oven, to luxurious touches like a towel warmer, cozy robes, and a charming clawfoot tub for ultimate relaxation—she’s thought of everything! We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and can’t wait to return!

Cozy gem in the trees
We had a great getaway at the treehouse. There was so much attention to detail and care in the interior design and amenities, from excellent lighting to electric blankets and heated towels to a variety of teas to choose from. The host was also very kind to us when we lost the key.

Janice’s space was cozy, rustic, and the ultimate Redwoods/coastal getaway. She thinks of every detail and creates such a lovely experience. I highly recommend making the drive to immerse yourself in the forested cabin.

Cozy, private cabin. Great location
Don’t hesitate booking The House of Trees on Janice’s property! The cabin is small, but you’ll have everything you need and more for a relaxing stay. Janice has packed the cabin with all kinds of thoughtful amenities and comforts. We loved sitting on the small deck under the canopy of trees. The location is perfect for exploring the Mendocino coast.

We LOVED our stay at House of Trees! Our favorite Hipcamp stay on our coastline roadtrip.
The heated towels, robes, coffee machine, bath, and TV were some of our favorite amenities. We felt very welcomed and taken care of, yet had our own personal space and privacy. 🛁☕️🌲

I had a fabulous time at the House Of Trees. It really is as cute as the photos. Janice has done a great job! The bed was unbelievably comfy too. The cabin and the area outside were full of amenities. I had a gorgeous soak in the clawfoot tub. I wish I had stayed longer!!

House of Trees is an absolute dream for Hipcampers! The location is perfect for exploring the Mendocino Coast, the property has everything you could ever need to elevate your stay, and Janice is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. I have always dreamed of having a little place of my own to escape to on the NorCal coast. In the meantime, this property is so perfect, and Janice is so welcoming, that I know I will be returning here for years to come. It’s perfect for a solo adventure or a couples vacation. This is Hipcamping taken to the next level! Highly recommend!

Janice was so incredibly warm and kind! The House of Trees is cozy, comfortable, and peaceful. Everything was perfectly clean and the entire design was thoughtful, accommodating, and stylish. We weren't able to enjoy the fire pit while we were there, but the outside area was just as inviting as the inside space. I will definitely stay here again next time I'm spending time up north. Thanks for a wonderful experience!

A beautiful glamping experience
Janice was a wonderful host and this was the perfect glamping setup! The cabin is cozy and has all the amenities you need, the bed was so cozy, and the outdoor area is set up for an easy and comfortable outdoor kitchen / dining area with a very peaceful feel in the trees. Janice answered all my questions when I arrived including showing me how to set up the grill and also gave me a lot of privacy. She even lent me a headlamp after I forgot this basic supply for my glamping experience! And to top it all off, she helped me find a place to stay for my 3rd night as her place was only available the first 2 nights I was in the area. Highly recommend and I hope to return!

We loved staying at the house of trees. The unit is very quiet and cozy. The bed is very comfortable and includes lots of pillows. Bathtub adds even more tranquility to your stay.
